전차동체의 피탄각 결정을 위한 비대칭 방향확률분포 모델 (A Nonsymmetric Model of Directional Probability Variation [DPV] for Tanks)

  • In this study, a nonsymmetric model of directional probability variation (dpv), which is fundamental and conforms well to various moving situations of attacking tanks, is obtained based on the Whittaker's theory. It is shown that it produces the same expression of the probability density function as the Whittaker's under the special moving condition of an attacking tank. Using the derived dpvs, the probability densities for the various cases of some examples are calculated numerically to verify the derived formulas, and compared with other existing symmetrical distributions widely used to grasp characteristics of them. As a result, it is noted that the plots of the probability density function for various cases selected exhibit very different and useful behavioral features. Applying the results with respect to the every tank in the computer simulation of engagement between two tank forces, it is expected that more reasonable shot distributions can be given comparing with other existing symmetrical ones. The derived dpvs may be utilized to decide shot distribution of other weapon systems through small modification.

A Novel Design of Compact Low-Pass Filter and Its Equivalent Circuit Model

  • A novel design of compact low-pass filter based on microstrip structure and its equivalent-circuit model are developed. The philosophy of the structure behind this novel microstrip low-pass filter is simple as it is composed of a pair of symmetrical parallel coupled-line and an open-stub. With this configuration, a finite attenuation pole near the stopband cutoff frequency is available and adjustable by simply tuning the circuit parameters. Furthermore, the rejection bandwidth of this type of low-pass filter can be extended. In order to validate the feasibility of the proposed design method, a low-pass filter based on a microstrip structure is designed, fabricated, and measured. Experimental results agree very well with the simulation and analytical results.

대칭모형 기반 SLAM : M-SLAM (Symmetrical model based SLAM : M-SLAM)

  • 미지의 영역에서 작업을 수행하고자 하는 이동로봇은 주변의 지도가 없을 뿐만 아니라 자신의 위치도 알 수 없다. 이러한 환경의 극복을 위해 가장 많이 쓰이는 방법이 SLAM(Simultaneous Localization And Mapping)이다. SLAM 분야에서 가장 많이 쓰이는 방법은 EKF (Extended Kalman Filter) 기반의 SLAM이다. 최적의 센서 융합 기법이지만 odometeric error 등을 보상하기 위해서는 복잡한 과정이 점차 증가하게 된다. 사람은 SLAM 방식을 이용하여 낯선 장소에서 마음속의 지도를 쉽게 작성하지만 로봇의 경우 SLAM을 수행하는 것은 매우 어렵고 시간이 오래 걸린다는 단점이 생기는 것이 다. 이러한 단점의 보완을 위하여 본 논문에서는 대칭모형 SLAM(M-SLAM)을 제안한다. M-SLAM은 대칭에 사용할 모형을 미리 정하고 센서로 받아들인 데이터를 모형과 비교하여 대칭된 모형을 맵에 적용시켜서 작업의 양을 줄이는 방법이다. M-SLAM은 적은 특징점을 이용하여 선택된 대칭 도형과의 유사성 판별을 이용하는 방법이므로 특징점이 적은 거리센서에 사용하기 적합한 특성을 가지고 있다고 할 수 있다. 특징점이 적어도 된다는 장점은 SLAM의 시간을 크게 줄여 줄수 있다.

Modeling for fixed-end moments of I-sections with straight haunches under concentrated load

  • This paper presents a mathematical model for fixed-end moments of I-sections with straight haunches for the general case (symmetrical and/or non-symmetrical) subjected to a concentrated load localized anywhere on beam taking into account the bending deformations and shear, which is the novelty of this research. The properties of the cross section of the beam vary along its axis "x", i.e., the flange width "b", the flange thickness "t", the web thickness "e" are constant and the height "d" varies along of the beam, this variation is linear type. The compatibility equations and equilibrium are used to solve such problems, and the deformations anywhere of beam are found by the virtual work principle through exact integrations using the software "Derive" to obtain some results. The traditional model takes into account only bending deformations, and others authors present tables considering the bending deformations and shear, but are restricted. A comparison between the traditional model and the proposed model is made to observe differences, and an example of structural analysis of a continuous highway bridge under live load is resolved. Besides the effectiveness and accuracy of the developed models, a significant advantage is that fixed-end moments are calculated for any cross section of the beam "I" using the mathematical formulas.

플라나 마이크로스트립 전송선의 효율적 해석 방법 (An Efficient Analysis Method for Planar Microstrip Transmission Line)

  • TLM 수치 해석법의 주요한 장점은 가장 복잡한 전송선 구조에 있어서도 해석이 용이하다는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 대칭압축노드를 이용한 TLM법을 마이크로스트립 meander 라인에 성공적으로 적용하였다. 플라나 마이크로스트립 전송선을 모델화하기 위한 대칭압축노드에 대한 상세한 기술이 제시되었고 또한 2종류의 마이크로스트립 meander 라인의 산란 파라메터 $S_{11}$$S_{21}$을 계산하였다. 구해진 결과로부터 TLM 해석법이 복잡한 플라나 마이크로웨이브 전송선 구조를 모델링하는데 유용한 해석법임을 보였다. 제시된 TLM 해석 결과는 고주파 영역에서 마이크로웨이브 집적 회로를 설계하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

  • The analytical treatment for a terminal cost problem of a distributed reactor with a small singular parameter is presented. The inverse of the neutron velocity is regarded as a singular parameter, and the model, adopted for simplicity, is a cylindrically symmetrical reactor. The Helmholtz mode expension is used for the application of the optimal theory for lumped parameter systems to the spatially distributed parameter system. The closed-form solution is explicitely obtained for machine calculation.

  • In this paper, using symmetrical condensed node(SCN), the TLM numerical technique has been successfully applied to microstrip meander line. A detailed technique of the symmetrical condensed node(SCN) may be used to model planar microstrip transmission line is presented. Also, the S-parameters $S_{11}$ and $S_{21}$ of microstrip meander line have been computed. From obtained results, TLM analysis is shown to be an efficient method for modeling complicated structure of planar microstrip transmission line.

  • In this paper first, we find a canonical symmetrical trapezoidal(triangular) for the solution of the fuzzy linear system $A\tilde{x}=\tilde{b}$, where the elements in A and $\tilde{b}$ are crisp and arbitrary fuzzy numbers, respectively. Then, a model for fuzzy linear programming problem with fuzzy variables (FLPFV), in which, the right hand side of constraints are arbitrary numbers, and coefficients of the objective function and constraint matrix are regarded as crisp numbers, is discussed. A numerical procedure for calculating a canonical symmetrical trapezoidal representation for the solution of fuzzy linear system and the optimal solution of FLPFV, (if there exist) is proposed. Several examples illustrate these ideas.

  • In indoor radio systems, vehicular communication systems, and land mobile systems, a very important problem is that of maintaining stable communications at all locations. Therefore solutions for the indoor propagation problem are important aspects of the mobile communication system. leaky coxial cables are finding increasing use in communications systesm involving mines, tunnels, tailroads, and highways, and in new obstacle detection, or guided radar, schemes for ground transportation and perimenter surveilance. In this paper a leaky coaxial cable having periodic slots in the outer conductor is described to obtain the propagation modes in the various environments. We use aneccentric cylindrical model to develop the theory for surface-wave propagation on the cable. Numerical Results are also included for the propagation constants, field distribution and current distribution. First, we derive the electromagnetic equation for leaky coaxial cable having symmetrical periodic slots using mode-matching method and Floquet's theorem, and then find various modes, propagation constants, field distribution, etc.
