In this paper, a symbolic algorithm for solving a regular initial value problem (IVP) for a system of linear differential-algebraic equations (DAEs) with constant coeffcients has been presented. Algebra of integro-differential operators is employed to express the given system of DAEs. We compute a canonical form of the given system which produces another simple equivalent system. Algorithm includes computing the matrix Green's operator and the vector Green's function of a given IVP. Implementation of the proposed algorithm in Maple is also presented with sample computations.

The purpose of this study is to find the types and symbolic meanings of the pattern shown in the Korean traditional houses. The major findings were as follows, 1) The patterns shown in the Korean traditional houses are classified into the types of the animal, plant, good-luck geometry according to the Motifes 2) The patterns of the Korean traditional houses were expressed in the fences, gates, chimneies, walls, windows and doors, railings, roofs. 3) Korean traditional patterns are expressed the meanings of the protection, long life, good-luck, good meaning, decoration in the fences, gates, chimneies, walls, windows and doors, railings, roofs.

Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) 는 뇌 신호를 이용하여 생각으로 기계 및 컴퓨터를 제어 할 수 있는 기술이다. 뇌전도(Electroencephalography, EEG) 를 이용한 본 연구는 왼쪽/오른쪽 손 상상 움직임 실험에 대해서 특징 추출 (feature extraction)에 관�� 연구로 총 9명의 피험자로부터 얻어진 뇌 전도 데이터를 이용하여 전통적인 방법 (Common Spatial Pattern, CSP 및 Fisher Linear Discriminant, FLDA)을 이용해 구한 분류 정확도와 본 논문에서 사용 된 Symbolic transfer entropy (STE)을 통해 얻어진 특징에 대한 결과를 보여 준다. 본 연구를 통하여 STE를 통한 특징 추출 방법이 의미가 있다고 생각한다.

The purpose of this article is to depict the relationship between the frames of leadership and the dependent variables such as job satisfaction, respect from subordinates, promotion, and effective attainment of unit objectives. To attain this purpose, four types of multiple leadership frame, such as structural, human resources, political, and symbolic frames were surveyed through questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS. The major findings are : 1) In general, the symbolic frame is an important factor having a stronger influence on job satisfaction, respect from subordinates, promotion, and effective attainment of unit objectives. 2) In details, the human resources frame shows a positive effects on job satisfaction and respect; the structural frame on effective attainment of unit objectives; the political frame, to a certain degree, on promotion; and the symbolic frame, especially on respect from subordinates, promotion, and effective attainment of unit objectives.

This study aims to investigate the representation patterns used by elementary teachers and their meaning-making process in electromagnetic experiments. In particular, we analyzed the representations depending on three levels of their abstractness: enactive representation (action based), iconic representation (image based) and symbolic representation (language based). For this, four experiment activities of two teachers were analyzed and the results are as follows. First, as an overall pattern of representation, an experiment subject is presented as the form of symbolic representation and the related concepts, experimental materials and methods are embodied through iconic representation. Then, through enactive representation, the actual experiments are implemented. The experimental results are primarily recorded through iconic representations and abstracted into symbolic representations to draw conclusions. The different levels of representations complement each other to expand their meanings, however, sometimes they also make inconsistent meanings among different levels. Based on these results, educational implications were discussed in terms of supporting and improving electromagnetic experiment activities.

상태합성기를 설계하기 위해 상태 CHDL 기술 및 기호간소화 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 상태 CHDL은 PLA에 의한 FSM설계에 매우 적합하며 제안된 기호간소화 알고리듬은 단일큐브포함, 1거리병합 알고리듬을 이용하였다. BOLD 논리최소화 tool을 이용한 상태합성의 절차를 교통신호제어기 등의 예를 들어 설명하였다.

This paper is the result of research about what imply the symbolic significance of the shamna's costume in Siberia and Central Asia by using plates, medias and exhibitions in JNME. The reselts of the present study are summarized as follows; 1) The researcher define the shamanism as incantation, religious phenomenon centering arround shaman who communicate with the existence of preternatualness by possession or trance. 2) Siberia and Central Asia's shamans are comunicated with the existence of preter naturalness by trance. 3) In Siberia and Central Asia, the shaman's costumes is presented in a shaman ritual are caps, jakets, ornaments, stick and shoes. They symbolize spiritual world, stupendous shaman and powerful animal. 4) A significant symbolic meaning of shaman's costumes is that they change shaman to the existence of preternatualness.

In multibody dynamic analysis, one of the most important problems is to reduce computation times for real-time simulation. This paper presents the derivation procedure of equations of motion of a 6${\times}$6 autonomous vehicle in terms of chassis local coordinates which do not require coordinates transformation matrix to enhance efficiency for real-time dynamic analysis. Also, equations of motion are derived using the VT(velocity transformation) technique and symbolic computation method coded by MATLAB. The Jacobian matrix of the equations of motion of a system is derived from symbolic operations to apply the implicit integration method. The analysis results were compared with ADAMS results to verify the accuracy and approve the feasibility of real time analysis.

Investigations on the symbolic role, spiritual health benefits and efficacy of the clothing items of the Ga wolomo (chief priest) have received little attention. Highlighting the relevance of these clothes, this paper focuses on the chief priest's dress code for his appointment, confinement, ordination, ceremonial and daily life activities. Data were collected through content analysis, participant observation and interviews with people from selected Ga communities, such as La, Teshie and Ga Mashie. The findings revealed that the selection of the chief priest is confirmed with a special clothing item. His traditional clothes and adornment also have meanings, importance and symbolic interpretations; explained in their uses, colour and style. As the spiritual head, the role of the chief priest's costume is very distinguished and symbolic in executing his duties; protecting, strengthening faith, confidence and assurance during spiritual healing, and when solving pertinent problems in the community. The paper concludes by recommending further research and documentation on other aspects of the Ga clothing culture, such as hand items and hair styles from the pre-colonial period to the present.

A program is developed for generations the dynamic equations for robotic manipulators using the symbolic language muSIMP/MATH. The muSIMP/MATH is a LISP-based computer algebra package, devoted to the manipulation of algebraic expressions including number, variables, functions, and matrix. The muSIMP/MATH can operate on IBM-PC compatibles with MS-DOS. The program is developed, on the e formalism. This is program is applicable to the manipulators of any number of degrees of freedom, maximum six degree of freedom in this program. To control robotic manipulators by using dynamic equation is required a symbolic equations. The generated dynamic equation can be applied directly to the robotic manipulators, for the generated dynamic equation is a reduced form of symbolic expression.
