Pulsation According to Pre-Compression Sections and Valve Plate Design for a Swash Plate Type Piston Pump (사판식 피스톤 펌프의 밸브 플레이트 설계와 예압에 따른 맥동)

  • This study investigated the design factors of the opening area in order to consider the kinematic stability of a valve plate, conducting an analysis of the reduction effects of pressure pulsation and flow ripple depending on the design factors, using the $SimulationX^{(R)}$ (Germany) hydraulic analysis program. Further, we performed a structure analysis to confirm the kinematic stability of the valve plate in a swash plate type piston pump, and analyzed the effects of pulsation on a 1-step V-type notch, 2-step V-type notch, and 2-step U-type notch to determine the effects of pulsation reduction. Finally, we show the effectiveness of our proposed design of the pre-compression sections on a valve plate in terms of low pulsation by using the hydraulic analysis program, $SimulationX^{(R)}$.

  • A swash plate-type piston pump is a device used to discharge hydraulic fluid as the volume generated through the piston moves in the direction of the slope by adjusting the angle of its swash plate. In addition, the valve block internalized in the pump includes a flow path for intake from outside, a flow path for discharge, and a pilot conduit line to control discharge pressure and flux. In this study, a numerical analysis is conducted to improve the cracking of the valve block generated during process testing, and the developed pump is evaluated.

  • Along the various gap distance between shoe and swash plate and pocket diameter, lifting force of piston shoe during the compressing stage was calculated. The flow in piston, orifice, shoe, and back space was considered to be 2-dimension axisymmetric and analysed by Fluent, a commercial CFD Software. The wall boundary condition was given as nonslip and adiabatic, while the change in fluid viscosity was considered as linear along temperature. Calculated lifting force and oil leakage of shoe was used in the design of a pump to confirm the shape of the shoe.

  • A numerical analysis between the piston and cylinder in swash plate type hydraulic piston pumps under reciprocating motion is presented. A finite difference method and the Newton-Raphson method are used simultaneously to solve the Reynolds equation In the clearance and the equation of motion for the piston. The tapered piston showed stable behaviors regardless of their initial eccentric conditions in the clearance and the reciprocating speed affect highly on the piston end trajectories. Therefore, the results of present study can be used other types fluid machineries.

  • In this paper, a CFD (Computational fluid dynamics) code, FLUENT is adopted to investigate accurate flow characteristics for a slipper bearing which is used swash plate type hydraulic axial piston pump. Static pressure and velocity distributions, and velocity vectors are plotted for different film thickness and slipper rotational velocity. In recess region, there exists a doughnut shaped vortex ring. The static pressure distributions are non-uniform and the flow fields are highly asymmetrical under bearing rotation. Therefore the numerical method adopted in this paper can be use in design of hydrostatic components and further studies are required.

  • In the high pressure state, the leakage flow rate of hydraulics is one of serious problems and the great reason to decrease the volume efficiency. In this paper, I tried to clarify tribology characteristics for the slipper hydrostatic bearing in swash plate type axial piston pumps and motors by means of experiment . I measured the leakage flow rate between swash plate and piston shoe with change the supply pressure and oil temperature at a swash plate angle of 0。 . And I also investigated the slipper pocket pressure and calculated oil film thickness for theoretical method. So. 1 have analyzed the tribology characteristics of hydrostatic bearing for leakage flow rate and oil film thickness with oil temperature and supply pressure.

  • Recently, it is required that the automotive air conditioning system must keep the cabin temperature comfortable in spite of engine speed, and Improve the fuel consumption during all the seasons. To satisfy these requirements, the variable displacement swash plate type compressor with control pressure valve is developed. In this study, the effects of two type valves, suction pressure control valve and differential pressure control valve, on the performance of swash plate type compressor has been investigated experimentally.

  • In this study, a variable displacement swash plate pump supplying high-pressure hydraulic oil to control the hydraulic system of a marine engine was developed. A structural analysis was performed on the main parts of the pump to ensure the structural safety in the design. Using a pump testing equipment, performance characteristics such as no-load flow rate, load flow rate, flow rate according to the swivel angle change, flow rate with lubrication orifice, and response time according to the swivel motion were tested. Consequently, the pump was confirmed to satisfy the required specifications.

  • The existing Swash Plate Type Axial Piston Motor rapidly drops efficiency at high speed in comparison with low speed. This is the reason why the motor was designed only in a viewpoint of minimum of power supply. But, in this paper, the motor which was optimally designed in a veiwpoint not only power supply but also load capacitancy, flow loss volume, axial stiffness and tilting stiffness keeps up high efficiency at high speed.
