This research is aimed at evaluating the potential abilities of the natural acaricide of F. suspense oil against Tyrophagus putrescentiae and Dermatophagoides spp. Based on the $LD_{50}$ values, in contact bioassay, F. suspense oil (8.19, 3.28, and $4.35{\mu}g/cm^2$) showed acaricidal effects against T. putrescentiae, D. farinae, and D. pteronyssinus, respectively. Fumigant toxicities of F. suspense oil showed similar patterns as those observed with contact toxicities. GC/MS analysis showed the major components of F. suspense oil to be ${\beta}$-pinene (45.88%), myrtenol (13.86%), (+)-${\alpha}$-pinene (13.09%), (-)-trans-pinocarveol (7.34%), sabinene (6.64%) and pinocarvone (4.13%). These findings indicate that F. suspense oil has potential as a natural acaricide.

This study investigates the psychological effects of positive/negative valence order in repeated exposure to a suspenseful text. Specifically, the study seeks to understand how the order in which positive and negative elements are presented in a narrative impacts the experience of suspense, arousal, and enjoyment in readers or listeners. Using a suspenseful short story, participants were exposed to narratives with varying valence orders in a repeated-measures design. The study employed self-report questionnaires and psychophysiological measurements to capture participants' psychological responses. The results supported the hypothesis that repeated exposure impacts suspense, with negative valence enhancing suspense and arousal. Moreover, the order of valence influenced participants' psychological responses, indicating that positive valence can mitigate the impact of repeated exposure. However, the influence on enjoyment was not significant. Psychophysiological measures, specifically skin conductance level (SCL), revealed trends of habituation over repeated exposure. The findings underscore the significance of negative valence in heightening suspense and suggest directions for future research in exploring diverse factors that contribute to suspense in both fictional and real-life contexts.

The suspense will be realized as various techniques influenced the perception of audience organically each other. These varied techniques induce isolation as well as a restricted space as formal system. Moreover, it could intensify emotional experience of audience that they will not escape in addition to the depth.. This study chose a movie (2010) and <127 hours> (2010) which used the limited space as the material as the analysis target to examine. It is the goal of this study to analyze the conversion of careful viewpoint and the flashback, and to raise the meaning of the suspense expression through this. The researcher would consider how the suspense is expressed based on the conversion of viewpoint and how the flashback delivers the psychology and emotion.

As a category of film types, suspense thriller is constantly introducing a new element in the endless historical development and owns new vitality. The long-standing essence is that it doesn't vulgarly cater to the public, but stimulates more creativity. In this thesis, starting from theoretical foundation of creation in American contemporary suspense thriller, the author analyzes playwriting characteristics of suspense thriller and analyzes the exquisite description of characters' mental world and external presentation in detail from multiple structure modes to multiple perspectives. Also, the author comprehensively elaborates playwriting characteristic features of American contemporary suspense thriller by combining with playwriting theme, structure and viewpoint and takes the classic work of American suspense thriller by David Fincher as an example to analyze the unique value of thriller playwriting.

This study investigated the effects of sports game outcomes on spectators' Ad recall, and the sports game induced suspense was also investigated for its moderating effects between the variables. On the day after the 2012 London Olympic soccer games, university students (N=257) from the Busan area completed questionnaires and MANOVA was utilized for data analysis. Results of this study revealed that outcome of sports game have significant effects on recall of both brand name and contents which aired during a halftime break. In addition, significant moderating effects of sports game induced suspense were found on brand name and contents recall. Based on the results, some suggestions for marketing practitioners are discussed and future research directions are outlined.

The Purpose of the study is to identify the aesthetic of anxiety and horror in Roman Polanski's films, focusing on , , and . Polanski's films, of which main concern lies in veritable human under the circumstance of the closed space which is stained violence and horror, present a tendency of instability and brute force in the same age and individual's enervation and solitude isolated from the value of society. Eventually, it steadily deals with the origin horror of being. In this study, I analyzed Polanski's special feature of directing centering on three facters, such as visual storytelling, space design of isolation and enervation, and accompanying sight as a visual point of suspense. The style of Polanski's films, based on the classical priciple for suspense construction and variegated image making, shows that the incapable individual's awkward suffered in the closed circumstance, the strength of horror from the unknowable outside, and human's belief broken by brutal violence. These commonly connect to the theme of Roman Polanski's films.

Forsythiaside is a polyphenolic constituent of the fruits of Forsythia suspense Vahl which are widely used as anti-inflammatory herbal raw materials in traditional Chinese medicine. In the present study, the authors assessed the effects of forsythiaside on learning and memory impairments induced by scopolamine using a passive avoidance and the Morris water maze tests in mice. Drug-induced amnesia was induced by scopolamine treatment (1 mg/kg, i.p.). Forsythiaside (10 mg/kg, p.o) administration significantly prevented scopolamine-induced step-through latency reduction in the passive avoidance test and scopolamine-induced increased escape latency in the Morris water maze test (p<0.05). Moreover, in an ex-vivo study, forsythiaside treatment (10 mg/kg, p.o) significantly reduced the increase of thiobarbituric acid reactive substance levels induced by scopolamine (p<0.05). Taken together, the present study suggests that forsythiaside could be useful for the treatment of cognitive impairment, and that its beneficial effects are mediated, in part, by its antioxidative properties.

This study uses a epidemic film that is being re-illuminated due to the recent appearance of COVID-19. In particular, The flu, Train to Busan, and Deranged are representative works of the "Epidemic Genre" in domestic disaster films, and their performance reports are different. Researcher set the pandemic film as one aspect of the genre film, and analyzed and compared three films in terms of three elements of the genre film: formula, convention, and iconography. An important element in the epidemic film was the improvement of reality through 'suspension of suspense' and 'ambiguity in the epidemic setting'. Lastly, Researcher hope the Korean film industry will develop more deeply through the "Epidemic Genre," a new genre of Korean films that has been spotlighted by the COVID-19 incident.

Acting is an act of expressing personality, image, sound, tempo, and movement flexibility in order to effectively express fictional characters in the play. It is said to refer to the action or mood of the person performing the character. In addition, all these acts are important elements of the media that the director wants to convey the subject of the work to the audience. In particular, the actor relies on the ambience, image and passionate role of winning and losing in theatrical film. In addition, more than 60% of the afterimages or remaining images in the film are images of the actor's acting or movement, and the trend of the actor. This study is not about acting divided by Conti, who is under the control of directors and directors. The purpose of this study is to analyze the aesthetic response and analyze the inner half of the suspense in the act and to help influence the expression that is effective in expressing the play.
