The purpose of this study is to investigate factors that affect the suicidal ideation of the people with mental disabilities. To this end, the independent variables were analyzed by categorizing them into individual psychological factors, social factors, and demographic characteristics. The analysis data include 969 people with mental disabilities who participated in the 2017 Ministry of Health and Welfare's Research, 'Survey on the Current Status of Mental Disabilities in Community'. The analysis method was frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis with SPSS 23.0. As a result of the study, in terms of individual psychological factors, the higher the depression and the lower the mental health confidence, the more suicidal ideation increase. In terms of social factors, the more unregistered disabled groups, the more exposure to violence and discrimination, and the more they live in large cities, the higher their ideation of suicidal. The regression model explained 26.9% of suicidal ideation. The practical and policy implications for the prevention of suicide of the people with mental disabilities based on these results are as follows: First, social factors should be evaluated and considered together, rather than focusing only on individual psychological factors, in seeking policies and intervention programs that reduce suicidal ideation in the people with mental disabilities. Second, in seeking suicide prevention policies for the people with mental disabilities, Protection & Advocacy services should be provided to reduce violence and discrimination experiences. Third, in order to reduce the suicidal ideation of the people with mental disabilities, the mental disability registration system should be reorganized, and policy alternatives should be devised so that those experiencing mental distress can be included into the system.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual conditions of the mobility convenience facilities for pedestrians and their perception of the facilities, and thereby provide fundamental material necessary to establish a strategy of improving mobility convenience facilities. This study tried to analyze the characteristics of the mobility convenience facilities for pedestrians. Based on previous studies and "Report of Mobility Facilities of the Mobility Handicapped", this study first chose the evaluation items related to mobility convenience facilities, and then conducted a questionnaire survey and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). According to the study results, first, the item that needs intensive improvement was sidewalks, and the detailed indicators for sidewalks were walking safety, convenient facilities for the disabled, and pavement in order. Secondly, the items that need to be maintained were bus and crossroad. Thirdly, the low-ranking items were under-passageway and pedestrian overpass. And lastly, the items that need to be controlled were facilities for passenger terminals and bus terminals. Based on the comprehensive IPA result, this researcher judged the actual use conditions of the mobility convenience facilities in Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnamdo. Therefore, it was found that it would be urgent to improve the direct walking environment on sidewalks. In this aspect, for future policy decision and facility maintenance, it is desirable to put the item in priority in terms of investment and come up with an improvement strategy.
The purpose of this study was to analyze characters and determinant factors of the life satisfaction of the older adults with disabilities so as to provide suggestion for improving the quality of life. I used the data on 8th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled(PSED). The total number of respondents was 452, 126 respondents of one-person households and 326 respondents of multi-person households. The data was analyzed using SPSS Win 24.0 program and utilizing $x^2$test, ANOVA, logistic regression analysis. First, The characteristics of older adults with disabilities was man, married, mild disorder, physical external disorder, non-basis living security recipient, unemployment and the level of life satisfaction was 3.27. Second, The one-person households group showed female, non-married, severe disorder, lower acceptance of disability, lower health status, higher help daily living activity, higher discrimination experience, unemployment, lower income, basis living security recipient, lower position than multi-person group. Third, acceptance of disability, health status, social activity, religion were found to have a significant effect on the life satisfaction of one-person households. And acceptance of disability, health status, position were found to have a significant effect on the life satisfaction of multi-person households. Base on the results of this study, suggested for improving the quality of life of the older adults with disabilities.
This study is to reveal the effects affecting mother' coping resources on caring stress of mothers caring for adult children with developmental disabilities. The research data was collected from the service users recruited from two disability organizations and the disabled community welfare centers in South Korea. The survey was limited to mothers caring for adult children with developmental disabilities over the age of 18. The samples of the study consisted of 119 mothers. The data were analysed through SPSS statistical program. It was used for the analysis method of Frequency analysis, T-test, ANOVA and Step wise regression. Analysis results are as follows: the family support and friend support of social coping resources is affecting in caring stress of mothers. Also, the mothers who is working are more caring stress than unemployed mothers and the mothers who is between 50age and 54age are more caring stress than the mothers of under 49 age. Based on these results, I proposed the idea of several programs for social work practice for community welfare centers based on the results.
The purpose of this study was to analyze determinant factors of the life satisfaction of adults with brain lesions disabilities so as to provide suggestion for improving the quality of life. I used the data on second wave 4th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled. The total number of respondents was 281, 54 respondents of one-person households and 227 respondents of multi-person households. The data was analyzed using SPSS Win 25.0 program and utilizing χ2 test, ANOVA, logistic regression analysis. Results of study were : First, The one-person households group showed middle aged and the elderly, lower income, basis living security recipient, lower help for daily life, lower participation in social activities than multi-person group. Second, level of disability, health status, participation in social activities, experience of discrimination were found to have a significant effect on the life satisfaction of multi-person households. And gender, age, health status, employment, experience of discrimination were found to have a significant effect on the life satisfaction of one-person households. Base on the results of this study, suggested for improving the quality of life in adults with brain lesions disabilities by households type.
This study was conducted to empirically verify the factors that affect work-life balance according to the age of social workers. The subjects of the study were social workers working at social welfare centers, welfare centers for the disabled, and welfare centers for the elderly located in Jeollabuk-do, and 313 copies of 42 facilities that participated in the survey were used for the final analysis. The research method used a multi-level model that calculated individual factors (Level 1) and institutional factors (Level 2). The main research results are as follows. First, 20.2% of the total variance in the work-life balance of social workers was found to be different for each local welfare center. Second, as a result of examining the factors affecting work-life balance of social workers by age, it was found that job demands had a negative effect on work-life balance in all age groups. In particular, in their 30s, family demands and women's work-life balance were more negative than men's, and economic status was found to be an important influencing factor on work-life balance. Based on these results, we discussed ways to improve work-life balance for social workers.

In this study, we investigated the current status of written discourse mediation in a more general and in-depth manner, including the training completion experience and knowledge of written discourse mediation among Speech-Language Pathologists in Korea, and the Speech-Language Pathologists' perceptions of written discourse mediation. We wanted to look into the requirements. Research results were derived through a questionnaire answered by 110 Speech-Language Pathologists. As a result, although most Speech-Language Pathologists learned about written discourse intervention in the curriculum, their application of written discourse intervention in clinical settings is insufficient and they have difficulty with written discourse intervention due to lack of systematic and professional knowledge of this intervention. I could tell that I was feeling it. Looking at the status of written discourse intervention, only 46.4% of the Speech-Language Pathologists who responded in clinical settings showed that they had experience with written discourse intervention. In other words, it was analyzed that 53.6% of respondents had no experience with writing discourse mediation. As a result of Speech-Language Pathologists' perception and demand for written discourse intervention, 76.4% of SpeechLanguage Pathologists responded that they thought written discourse intervention was an important area of speech therapy. In addition, 62.8% of respondents responded that a curriculum for discourse mediation is necessary, more than 90% said that continuous research on written discourse mediation is necessary, and 89.1% thought that the development of textbooks and teaching aids was necessary.This study is significant in that it investigated the experiences and perceptions of Speech-Language Pathologists in written discourse intervention and analyzed the results in that it provided direction on how education and various processes related to written discourse intervention should be conducted.
Recently, Korean society has emphasized the level of digital information usage in each individual's life due to the advent of the intelligent information society and the great digital transformation. The purpose of this study is to examine how the level of digital information usage of people with disabilities affects their satisfaction with life and whether social support moderates the relationship between the level of digital information usage and life satisfaction. This study analyzed the data of 2,200 people with disabilities taken from the 2020 Survey on the Digital Divide conducted by the National Information Society Agency. The results of the analysis suggest that people with disabilities have a higher degree of satisfaction when they are employed and have a higher than average monthly income and higher levels of digital information usage and social support. In addition, the results show that social support played a negative moderator role between the level of digital information usage and life satisfaction. This shows that life satisfaction can increase when the disabled frequently use digital devices and technologies in their daily lives without relying on social support, and suggested the need for intervention in policies and practice sites.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of the social support and social network on the quality of life of the elderly residing in a local community. Method : The subjects of this study were 75 healthy old men and women of 13 sites of welfare centers for the disabled and public health centers and senior welfare centers in Busan and Gyeongju. A survey was conducted with a questionnaire that include general characteristics, cognitive ability, social support, social network and quality of life. The analysis was made on 63 replies except 12 subjects who had been excluded by the subject selection criteria. Result : As a result of analyzing correlation of variables affecting life quality, there was positive correlation in contact frequency(p<.05), intimacy(p<.001), and social support(p<.001). Finally, it was analyzed that the variable of intimacy (p<.001) affected life quality of general aged people living in regional community. Conclusion : It was found that intimacy of general aged people living in regional community was a major variable to affect life quality. It could be identified that intimacy which is qualitative feature of social, relational network for the aged who live passive life was important.

Even though Korea has long experienced single race/ethnic demographic composition, the recent rapid change of demographic diversity will have powerful impact on the HRM(human resource management) in the future. In this research we find the influence of the diversity friendly HRM to the human resource practices using the data of WPS(Workplace Panel Survey) of Korea Labor Institute. If the training for women is high, the density of the woman increased. The performance pay is introduced, then the density of the disabled person would be increased. The foreign workforce was also increased if the company used more selection methods. But the HRM practices such as talent management, yearly-based compensation systems, and appraisal program which has a tendency to reduce diversity have no significant influence to the financial performance. This findings imply that the management team should introduce the effective HRM systems to manage diverse human resources after considering the organizational culture and business environment. This research intends to find the diversity friendly HRM practices and hope to help the efforts of the management team to find effective management methods.
