일반국도에 적용한 마이크로서페이싱공법과 폴리머슬러리실공법에 대한 현장 공용성 평가 (Field Performance Evaluation of Micro-surfacing Method and Polymer Slurry Seal Method Used in National Highway)

  • PURPOSES : Recently, crack, rutting, and stripping problems from the surface of asphalt pavements in National highway are observed and they affect the drivers to feel uncomfortable on the road. Surface treatments are recommended to use in distressed pavements due to cost-effective, and improvement of surface performance. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of micro-surfacing and polymer slurry seal treatments for distressed asphalt pavements. METHODS : Surface conditions and friction resistance are evaluated for asphalt pavements treated with micro-surfacing and polymer slurry seal mixes in National highway 30 line and 34 line. Visual observation is conducted and surface performance is measured by PES (Performance Evaluation Surveyor) in terms of crack ratio, rutting and IRI(International Roughness Index). BPN(British Pendulum Number) is measured by BPT(British Pendulum Tester) to evaluate the friction resistance in the field. RESULTS : The surface evaluation results are presented for asphalt pavement treated with micro-surfacing and polymer slurry seal treatments in National highway 30 line and 34 line. Based on the visual observation, micro-surfacing and polymer slurry seal treatments show better improvements in terms of cracks and stripping. Based on the surface conditions measured by PES vehicle, the surface performance of micro-surfacing treatments improves from 53.3% to 54.2% and the surface performance of polymer slurry seal treatments improves from 21.6% to 59.7%. However, the friction resistance of both micro-surfacing and polymer slurry seal treatments decreases from 2.5% to 6.7%. Further, it should be verified to produce the surface exposed with aggregates during the construction process of both treatment methods in the field. CONCLUSIONS : Based on the performance evaluation results in the filed, the surface performance of asphalt pavement treated with micro-surfacing and polymer slurry seal treatments improves from 21.6% to 59.7%. While, the friction resistance of asphalt pavement treated with micro-surfacing and polymer slurry seal treatments does not improve. It can be concluded that current micro-surfacing and polymer slurry seal treatments would improve surface performance but would not improve the friction resistance.

마찰 육성법을 이용한 S45C 탄소강에 대한 STS304의 코팅층 특성 평가 (The Evaluation of STS304 Coating Layer on S45C Substrate by Friction Surfacing Process)

  • Friction surfacing of STS304 consumable rod on S45C substrate was investigated by microstructural observation and mechanical tests. STS304 layer formed a strongly-bonded thick layer under a wide range of surfacing conditions. The highest coating eefficiency was obtained in the condition of 1000rpm-2.5mm/sec-2.5mm/sec. The hardness distribution showed the peak value in the boundary layer and as the consumable rotation speed increased, the boundary layer also hardness increasing. As the consumable rotation speed and the traveling speed increased, the coating efficiency tended to decrease. On the other hand, as the feeding speed increased, the coating efficiency appeared to be increased. The new Fe-Cr-Ni alloy layer is showed in the interface layer on $5\~15{\mu}m$ width. After friction surfacing, corrosion resistance of STS 304 surfacing layers were equaled to that of STS304 consumable rod.

  • Friction surfacing of STS304 consumable rod on S45C substrate was investigated by microstructural observation and mechanical tests. NCPX를 이용한 도로 표층 유형별 노면 소음 비교 연구 (A Study for Comparing Road Noise by Surface Types using NCPX)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to study the noise reducing effect of Micro Surfacing by comparing general asphalt, longitudinal tining and Slurry Seal. METHODS : This study measures vehicles' noise of each section by the NCPX method that can measure noise between the road surface and the tire at the field. Total sound pressure and sound pressure level by the 1/3 octave band frequency are calculated through the field data of each section. Total sound pressure level is compared by ANOVA test statistically. After ANOVA test, post-hoc test is conducted to know mean difference of surface type by Tukey. RESULTS : As the result of CPB analysis to confirm sound pressure levels by frequency, it was shown that sound pressure levels by frequency are totally similar except for those of frequency bands between 100Hz and 500Hz. The result of ANOVA test and post-hoc test, it was shown that sections of surface type have a difference. The result of Micro Surfacing was lower 2~5dB(A) than other surface type. CONCLUSIONS : It is found that the noise reduction performance of Micro Surfacing was better than other surface type.

마이크로 서피싱 포장의 도로 소음 저감 효과 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Micro Surfacing Pavement on Noise Reductions)

  • 본 연구에서는 환경 문제로 대두되고 있는 도로 교통 소음을 저감하기 위한 노력으로 저소음 포장 공법인 마이크로 서피싱 포장 공법을 활용한 저소음 포장의 현장 적용과 소음 저감효과를 평가하고자 하였다. 마이크로 서피싱 포장의 적용을 위해 소음의 발생 메커니즘을 분석하고, 포장의 최적화를 위해 골재의 입형과 입도를 변경하고, 야간공사에 적합한 배합과 공법을 제시하였다. 소음 측정 결과 고정식 측정의 경우 2dB에서 7.1dB까지의 소음 저감효과가 측정되었다. 고정식 측정결과는 바람의 영향, 차량통행량 등의 다양한 변수가 작용하여 편차가 큰 것으로 예상된다. 또한, 이동식 측정의 경우는 80km/h의 시속에서 5.6dB 에서 6.7dB의 소음 저감효과가 있었다. 이동식 측정결과는 반복측정에 대한 편차가 비교적 적으며, 각각의 차선에서 측정된 결과로 일정하여 도로 포장의 소음 감소효과를 측정하는데 보다 합리적이라 판단된다. 따라서 마이크로 서피싱 포장의 소음 저감효과를 확인할 수 있었으며, 표면처리 공법으로 예방적 보수를 실시하여, 경제적이고 지속적인 저소음 포장으로서의 기능을 할 수 있을 것으로 평가된다.

  • The friction surfacing system which has been successfully developed in RIST has both position control and force control by using hydraulic cylinder. In friction surfacing process mechtrode rotation speed(N) and feeding speed($V_{z}$), travelling speed($V_{x,y}$) are of critical importance for the width and thickness of the coating. As a result of DOE with developed system, the main effect of coating thickness is a rotation speed of mechtrode.

  • 자동 부침식 가두리 시설을 개발하기 위해 가두리 시설을 구형 부자로 단순화하여 이것의 자동 침하 및 상승 관련 제어 알고리즘 및 프로그램을 개발하였고 실내 수조 실험을 통해 그 유용성을 확인하였다. 또한 기존 연구 결과의 수치와도 비교 분석함으로써 기존 연구의 수치 모델 결과의 유용성을 재확인하게 되었다. 그리고 실물 실험에 대한 선행 연구로써 많은 변수들과 부력에 대한 비선형적인 메커니즘을 제어를 통해 극복하였으며, 이는 실물 실험에 있어 중요한 요소로 작용될 것이다.

  • In this study, a discrete event and dynamic-based discrete time combined simulation modeling architecture, which can be used to calculate equations of motions among discrete events, is developed. This is composed of a command model, which is in charge of discrete event simulation, a numerical integration model, which finds motions by numerically integrating equations of motions, and an external force and control force model, which calculates the force and transmits it to the equations. Using this architecture, we can develop dynamic-based simulation by simply connecting and combining models, and handle simultaneously discrete event and discrete time simulation. To verify the efficiency of the architecture, it is applied to the submarine diving and surfacing simulation.

강상판형교 교면포장 공법 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Pavement Techniques for Steel Bridge Decks)

  • 본 연구의 주 목적은 교면포장 공법 중에서 인천대교에 사용된 구스 아스팔트와 귤현 대교에 사용된 SMA의 적용 사례를 통하여 발전된 교면포장 공법을 제시하는데 있다. 두 공법의 시공사례를 비교 분석한 결과, 구스 아스팔트는 고온에서의 유동저항성이 작아 소성변형에 취약하며, 이에 반하여 SMA포장은 유지관리에 용이하고 소성변형 등에 유리하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 강상판 교면포장 공법이 발달된 선진국에서는 보편화되어서, 그에 따른 국내에서의 해결방안을 제시하였다. 그러나, 국내의 경우 다양한 시공 실적이 미흡한 실정이어서 향후 적절한 시공관리와 체계적인 연구를 통하여 보다 발전된 교면 포장공법이 제시되어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • The surfacing of bridge-decks are object to secure trafficability and to protect bridge face from impact load of traffic volume and other external conditions. But the deformation of pavements and cracks happen due to the damage of the bridge-decks surfacing from the increase of the traffic, short maintenance period and continuous vibration of bridge. This test is to make the 3-type high performance concrete that has different mixing ratio and is added the blast furnace slag, fly ash and silica respectively, and to compare 3-type high performance concrete of normal high strength concrete of $400kgf/cm^2$ strength through the static loading test and fatigue test. And test specimen is united floor slab and pavement for the durability of bridge.
