Three-dimensional nonlinear sloshing effects due to tank motions are simulated by solving boundary value problem using the panel method based on boundary integral technique. While Shinkai used boundary elements on which source strengths vary linearly between nodes, the source of constant strength is distributed on each triangular panel in the present study. The source strength at each time step is determined by solving the Fredholm integral equation of the second kind obtained from Green's theorem. To avoid cumulative numerical errors as time elapses, Adam-Bashforth-Moulton method is employed. Numerical examples for the case of partially filled spherical tank on board oscillating in harmonic sway mode or pitch mode are solved. The elevation of the free surface is compared with the result by Shinkai and confirmed in good agreement during early time. The input and the output energy are comparatively evaluated to check the overall accuracy of the present numerical scheme. Although some leakage of energy are found as time marches, it is plausible when we take into account nonlinearities of the problem and the number of panels of the model.
The purpose of this study was to compare apical sealing ability of continuous wave canal filling technique according to various heat source plugging depths. Eighty one extracted human premolars with straight root were cleaned and shaped to size 35 using .06 taper rotary NiTi file. After cleansing and shaping, the teeth were divided into 5 groups following the heat source probing depths from the apex; 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 mm. All specimens were filled using E&Q plus with #35/.06 tapered gutta-percha cone. The positive control teeth were not filled. All teeth were coated with nail varnish except the apical 1 mm around the apical foramen. Negative control teeth were completely sealed include the apical foramen. All specimens were immersed in 1% methylene blue solution for 72 hours. Then the specimens were sectioned horizontally at 1, 2 and 3 mm from the root apex. Each sectioned surface was photographed using a digital camera attached to the stereomicroscope at $12.5{\times}2.5$ fold magnification. All points at 1, 2 and 3 mm were summed as final score of one specimen. Statistical analysis of the collected data was performed. Under the condition of this study. there was no significant difference between the heat source plugging depths of 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 mm in apical sealing ability. All of apical heat source plugging depth from 3 to 7 mm including Buchanan's protocol -from 5 to 7 mm- seems to be acceptable in clinical application.

Using N_ Ch silicon gate technology . the capacitors and transistors with various dimenssion were fabricated. Although the applied process was somewhat standard the conditions of ion implantation for the gate were varied by changing the implant energies from 30keV to 60keV for B and from 100 keV to 175keV for P . The doses of the implant also changed from 3 $\times$ 10 /$\textrm{cm}^2$ to 5 $\times$ 10 /$\textrm{cm}^2$ for B and from 4$\times$ 10 /$\textrm{cm}^2$ to 7 $\times$ 10 /$\textrm{cm}^2$ for P . The D. C. parameters such as threshold voltage. substrate doping level, the degree of inversion, capacitance. flat band voltage, depletion layer width, gate oxide thickless, surface states, motile charge density, electron mobility. leakage current were evaluated and also compared with the corresponing theoretical values and / or good numbers for application. The threshold voltages measured using curve tracer and C-V plot gave good agreements with the values calculated from SUPREM II which has been developed by Stanford University process group. The threshold vol tapes with back gate bias were used to calculate the change of the substrate doping level. The measured subthreshold slope enabled the prediction of the degree of inversion The D. C. testing results suggest the realized capacitors and transistors are suited for the memory applications.

As micro-system move toward higher speed and miniaturization, requirements for embedding the passive components into printed circuit boards (PCBs) grow consistently. They should be fabricated in smaller size with maintaining and even improving the overall performance. Miniaturization potential steps from the replacement of surface-mount components and the subsequent reduction of the required wiring-board real estate. Among the embedded passive components, capacitors are most widely studied because they are the major components in terms of size and number. Embedding of passive components such as capacitors into polymer-based PCB is becoming an important strategy for electronics miniaturization, device reliability, and manufacturing cost reduction Now days, the dielectric films deposited directly on the polymer substrate are also studied widely. The processing temperature below $200^{\circ}C$ is required for polymer substrates. For a low temperature deposition, bismuth-based pyrochlore materials are known as promising candidate for capacitor $B_2Mg_{2/3}Nb_{4/3}O_7$ ($B_2MN$) multi layers were deposited on Pt/$TiO_2/SiO_2$/Si substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering system at room temperature. The physical and structural properties of them are investigated by SEM, AFM, TEM, XPS. The dielectric properties of MIM structured capacitors were evaluated by impedance analyzer (Agilent HP4194A). The leakage current characteristics of MIM structured capacitor were measured by semiconductor parameter analysis (Agilent HP4145B). 200 nm-thick $B_2MN$ muti layer were deposited at room temperature had capacitance density about $1{\mu}F/cm^2$ at 100kHz, dissipation factor of < 1% and dielectric constant of > 100 at 100kHz.
The change of molecular weight inside and outside a capsule produced using coencapsulating technology was investigated. Chitosan and chitosanase were enveloped in this membrane and product released was a loaded the medium by the principle of size exclusion. The leakage of substrate corresponding to the agitation speed was controlled by adjusting the alginate and CaCO$_3$ concentrations. The optimal condition of alginate concentration and agitation speed were 0.5% and 40rpm, respectively. Membrane thickness and capsules diameter were 10 $\mu$m and approx. 3.0 - 1.5 mm, respectively. Molecular weight difference by concentration and alginate viscosity were of little significance. In accordance with the molecular weight distribution versus enzyme concentration relationship, low concentration of enzyme produced high molecular weight oligosaccharides. At a 1.5 mm capsule size the product diffusion rate to outer surface highest. The molecular weight distribution of the released oligosaccharides was ranged from 1000 to 6000 Da. More than 80% of the initial activity of encapsulated enzyme retained after 8hrs of reaction.

Defects of dam body which can be induced in seepage or leakage procedure can directly affect dam safety. Therefore, a proper inspection method should be carried out in the first place to find out their positions and sizes. After that, some reinforcement works such as grouting and the corresponding assessment could be taken in a proper way. The dam(center core type earth dam) issued in this study has been in need for intensive diagnosis and reinforcement work, because a lot of slumps similar to cracks, seepage and some boggy area have been observed on the downstream slope. High resolution seismic reflection method was performed on the crest profile twice before and after grouting work(Aug. 2001 and Nov. 2004) aimed at the dam inspection and the assessment of grouting efficiency as well. To enhance the data resolution, P-beam energy radiation technique which can reduce the surface waves and hence to reinforce the reflection events was used. Strong reflection events were recognized in the stack section before grouting work, It seems that the events would be caused by e.g. horizontal cracks with a considerable aperture. Meanwhile such strong reflection events were not observed in the section after grouting. That is, the grouting work was dear able to reinforce the defects of dam body. Hence, the section showed an well arranged picture of dam inner structure. In this sense, seismic reflection method will be a desirable technique for dam inspection and for monitoring dam inner structure as well.

Submarines, which have been called an invisible force, are strategic underwater weapon systems that perform missions such as anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, and high payoff target strikes with the advantage of underwater covertness. A submarine should be able to withstand the hydrostatic pressure of the deep sea. In this respect, the submarine pressure hull, as the main structural system to resist the external pressure corresponding to the submerged depth, should ensure the survivability from hazards and threats such as leakage, fires, shock, explosion, etc. To do this, the initial scantling of the submarine pressure hull must be calculated appropriately in the concept design phase. The shape of the aft transition ring varies according to its connection with the submarine aft end conical structure, pressure hull cylindrical part, and non-pressure hull of the submarine; the design of the aft transition ring should not only take into account stress flow and connectivity but also the cost increase due to the increased man-hours of its complex geometry. Therefore, trade-off studies based on the four different shapes of the aft transition ring are carried out considering both the review of the structural strength through nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) and economic feasibility by reviewing the estimations of the manufacturing working days and material costs. Finally, the most rational structural aft transition ring shape for a submarine amongst four reviewed types was proposed.

The demand for coating technology on electric power equipment that has arisen from such issues regarding the attaching of illegal advertisements and posters to electric power distribution boxes such as TR, SW, etc. in down town areas seeks to produce functional coating surfaces using polymers and nano-materials that will result in improvements in self-cleaning performance and greater stability even under harsh environmental conditions. KEPCO-coatings consist of copolymerized acrylic resin and methacryl-modified reactive silicone that are able to chemically combine, which results in performance improvement without any leakage of of silicone, thus contributing to its properties of high-stability. Thus, the research team has also started long-term on-site testing on 9 electric power distribution spots around a city center in cooperation with the KEPCO Daeduck-yusung branch. The KEPCO-coating technology could advance the best coating materials and processes to meet appropriate circumstances for a variety of outdoor damage environment. It is also predicted that KEPCO could be possible to expand international electric maintenance markets and to arrange business platforms if KEPCO would achieve its original technology (IPs) by the means of upgrading in self-cleaning coating technology and obtaining long-term on-site test records from nationwide electric facilities.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the marginal microleakage of condensable composite resin restorations according to flowable resin lining of internal cavity wall. The eighty extracted human molar teeth without caries and/or restorations are used The experimental teeth were randomly assigned into four groups of ten teeth each. Eighty caries-free extracted human molars were used in this study. The conventional class II cavities (box-shaped on mesial and distal surface, faciolingual width : 3mm, gingival wall depth : 1.5mm) were prepared 1mm below cementoenamel junction with a # 701 carbide bur. The teeth were divided into four groups, and then each group were subdivided into A & B group according to flowable resin & compomer lining ; Group 1-A : Tetric Ceram filling, Group 1-B : Tetric Flow lining and Tetric Ceram filling, Group 2-A Ariston pHc filling, Group 2-B : Tetric Flow lining and Ariston pHc filing, Group 3-A SureFil filling, Group 3-B : Dyract Flow lining and SureFil filling, Group 4-A : Pyramid filling, Group 4-B : Aeliteflo lining and Pyramid filling. To simulate as closely as possible the clinical situation during retoration placement, a "restoration template" was fabricated, and the condensable resin was filled using a three-sited light-curing incremental technique. All the materials used were applied according to the manufacturers' instructions. The specimens were stored in the 100% humidity for 7 days prior to thermocycling (100 thermal cycles of 5~55$^{\circ}C$ water with a 30-second dwell time) The specimens were immersed in 2% metyleneblue dye for 24 hours, and then embedded in transparent acrylic resin and sectioned mesiodistally with diamond wheel saw. The degree of marginal leakage was scored under stereomicroscope ($\times$20) and the data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis test and Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The results were as follows : 1. In the gingival margins of all the group, microleakage of subgroup B was less than subgroup A. 2. In the group 1, 2, 4, there was significant differences between subgroup A and B (p<0.05), but in the group 3, there was not significant different between group 3-A (SureFil) and group 3-B (Dyract flow/SureFil) (p>0.05). 3. In the subgroup A and B, there was significant different between all group except group 4 of subgroup A. From the results above, it was suggested that the cavity lining of flowable resin and flowable compomer in condensable resin restoration decrease microleakage at gingival margin, and does improve their ability to seal the gingival margin of class II preparation.
Intracoronal bleaching is currently disregarded by many clinicians because of the potential consequence of cervical resorption. To prevent this complication it is recommended that intra coronal barrier materials be placed over the root canal obturation and sodium perborate be used with water rather than with hydrogen peroxide. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the amount of the hydrogen peroxide penetration according to the difference in intracanal base materials and sodium perborate preparation. Fifty extracted intact premolars were instrumented, and filled with gutta-percha. And then the outer surface of the teeth was sealed with wax exposing the CEJ. The prepared teeth were placed in plastic tubes containing 1.5ml distilled water with their entire root submerged into the solution, The teeth were divided into the following five groups. In the first two groups gutta-percha was removed without placement of barrier, and then water or superoxole(30% $H_2O_2$) with sodium perborate were used respectively for bleaching. In the other three groups, after removal of gutta-percha, an intracanal isolating barrier(ZPC, IRM, Fuji II LC) was placed and then bleached with sodium perborate and superoxole. The bleaching procedure was performed 4 times with 1 week interval. The results were as follows : 1. All the groups showed a tendency of increasing penetration amount with increasing treatment times(P<0.05). 2. After the 1st and 2nd treatments, there was no significant difference in microleakage among the groups. 3. After the 3rd bleaching with superoxole and sodium perborate, there was no significant difference in microleakage between gutta-percha alone group and gutta-percha with ZPC, Fuji II LC barrier group. But significant difference was found between IRM barrier group and other groups(P<0.01). 4. After the 4th bleaching with superoxole and sodium perborate, there was no significant difference between gutta-percha alone group and gutta-percha with barrier groups. 5. After the 4th treatment, the group bleached with sodium perborate and water without barrier showed lower hydrogen peroxide penetration than that of other groups(P<0.01).
