PLD 방법으로 Al2O3(0001) 기판 위에 증착한 Y2O3:Eu3+ 박막의 형광 특성 (Photoluminescence Characteristics Y2O3:Eu3+ Thin Film Grown on Al2O3(0001) Substrate by PLD)

  • $Y_{2}O_{3}:Eu^{3+}$ thin films have been grown on $Al_{2}O_{3}$(0001) substrates by a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method. The phosphor thin films were deposited at a substrate temperature of 500, 600, and $700^{\circ}C$ under the oxygen pressure of 100, 200, and 300 mTorr. The crystallinity, surface roughness and photoluminescence of the films are highly dependent on the substrate temperature and oxygen pressure. The films grown on $Al_{2}O_{3}$(0001) substrate even under the different substrate temperatures and oxygen pressures exhibited (222) preferred orientation. The luminescent spectra exhibited strong luminescence of ${^{5}D_{0}}-{^{7}F_{2}}$ transition within $Eu^{+3}$ peaking at 612 nm. The crystallinity and luminescence intensity of the films have been improved as the substrate temperature increasing. With increase of oxygen pressure from 50 to 300 mTorr, the crystallinity of the films has been uniformly decreased. The photoluminescence intensity and surface roughness have similar behaviors as a function of oxygen pressure. At 200 mTorr, both photoluminescence intensity and surface roughness show a maximum.

  • Fatigue life of welded joints are governed by the propagation of multiple collinear surface cracks distributed randomly along weld bead. These cracks propagate in mutual interaction and coalescence of them. To estimate the fatigue life, the influences of above two mechanisms on the fatigue life should be taken into account. These two mechanisms appear through the stress intensity factors disturbed mutually. However, it is difficult to calculate the stress intensity factors of multiple surface cracks located in vicinity of weld toe. The stress intensity factors are calculated normally by using the Mk-factors, but such Mk-factors are very rare in literature. In this study, the Mk-factors were obtained from a parametric study on crack length and depth, in which a finite element method is used. A fatigue test for a cruciform welded joint was conducted. The fatigue life of the tested specimen was estimated through present method with the informations obtained from the test, e.g. the number, size and locations of the cracks. The estimated and measured fatigue life showed a good agreement.

3차원 균열을 갖는 구조물에 대한 건전성 평가(I) (Integrity Evaluation for 3D Cracked Structures(I))

  • 3차원 유한요소법은 구조물에 존재하는 표면균열과 내재균열들의 응력확대계수를 구하는데 이용되어 진다. 기하모델, 즉 솔리드모델은 3차원 균열들을 포함하고 있다. 국부적인 절점밀도가 선택되어 지면 자동적으로 기하모델 영역에 중첩되어 지며 절점은 버블패깅 방법에 의해 생성되어지고 10절점 사변형 솔리드요소는 데라우니 삼각화 기술에 의해 생성하였다. 시스템의 정확도와 효용성을 체크하기 위해 인장하중을 받는 평판에 하나의 균열이 존재하는 경우의 응력확대계수를 구해 Raju-Newnam식과 비교하여 5%이내의 차이를 보였다. 또한, 인장하중을 받는 평판에 두개 균열이 존재하는 경우의 해석을 통해 상호 간섭 효과를 분석하였다.

유도결합 플라즈마 화학기상증착법을 이용한 Ni/SiO2/Si 기판에서 그라핀 제조 (Synthesis of Graphene on Ni/SiO2/Si Substrate by Inductively-Coupled Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition)

  • Graphene has been effectively synthesized on Ni/SiO$_2$/Si substrates with CH$_4$ (1 SCCM) diluted in Ar/H$_2$(10%) (99 SCCM) by using an inductively-coupled plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition. Graphene was formed on the entire surface of the 500 nm thick Ni substrate even at 700 $^{\circ}C$, although CH$_4$ and Ar/H$_2$ gas were supplied under plasma of 600 W for 1 second. The Raman spectrum showed typical graphene features with D, G, and 2D peaks at 1356, 1584, and 2710 cm$^{-1}$, respectively. With increase of growth temperature to 900 $^{\circ}C$, the ratios of the D band intensity to the G band intensity and the 2D band intensity to the G band intensity were increased and decreased, respectively. The results were strongly correlated to a rougher and coarser Ni surface due to the enhanced recrystallization process at higher temperatures. In contrast, highquality graphene was synthesized at 1000 $^{\circ}C$ on smooth and large Ni grains, which were formed by decreasing Ni deposition thickness to 300 nm.

철도 차륜의 구름접촉 피로 균열에 관한 유한요소해석 (FEM Analysis on Rolling Contact Fatigue Crack of a Railway Wheel)

  • In this study, tensile and fatigue crack propagation tests machined from actual wheels were performed. FEM analysis also was performed on the crack that was assumed to be 15 mm in depth under the wheel tread surface. The stress intensity factors K I and K II at the crack tip under the stress($P_{max}=911.5MPa$) due to a rolling contact were analyzed for crack growth characteristics. As a result, the perpendicular crack was found to be more dangerous compared to the parallel one. It is found that in the wheel fatigue crack, parallel to the wheel tread surface, the crack with its length 2a = 2.4mm starts to propagate due to the fact that the effective stress intensity factor access to the threshold stress intensity factor($K_{th}=16.04MPa{\sqrt{m}}$) of the wheel.

정상 성인에서 청성유발 피부전위 (Auditory Evoked Skin Potential in Normal Subjects)

  • Electrodermal activity(EDA) is a bio-electric signal which occurs at the skin surface during the sweating. EDA reflects the activity of the sympathetic axis of the autonomic nervous system. EDA is associated with the eccrine sweat gland at the palmar and plamar surface. This study was aimed to characterize the relationship between EDA and auditory stimulus intensities. Acoustic stimulus used in this study were 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz of narrow band noise, which were representative of speech frequencies in audible range. Stimulus intensity between 90 and 30 dB in 10 dB within dynamic range. After deriving the minimum stimulus intensity(threshold of skin potential) which elicited skin potential, and then the latency and amplitude were derived from waveform of skin potential, each latency and amplitude were compared to stimulus intensity. The waveform of skin potential were recorded stably, and the threshold of skin potential appeared nearly the hearing threshold level of the participant. The latency was decreased and the amplitude was increased according to the increase of the stimulus intensity. These results suggest that auditory evoked skin potential can be applicable to auditory assessment and audiological diagnosis tool.

탈지 정도에 대한 방청유-금속 계면의 영향성 평가 (Study on Evaluation of Degrease Performance on the Interface between Oil and Alloy)

  • The use of anti-corrosive oil (AC) is inevitable for production of industrial steels to prevent corrosion. The AC is degreased before application of steels, which crucially effects on final products, such as automobile, electricity etc. However, qualitative/quantitative evaluation of degreasing performance are steal insufficient. In this study, degreasing performance of anti-corrosive oil on steel have been studied through X-ray photon spectroscopy (XPS) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Commercial automotive steels (AMS) are coated with 4 different anti-corrosive oils (namely AC1-AC4). In XPS, intensity of C1s peak remained after degreasing indirectly indicates incomplete degreasing. Thus, higher C1s peak intensity means less effective degreasing by degreasing agent. peak intensity of C1s peak shows opposite tendency of peak intensity of O1s. We found that EIS analysis is not applicable to mild steel (such as AMS1) due to corrosion during measurement. However, alloy steel can be fully analyzed by EIS and XPS depth profile.

Identifying Puddles based on Intensity Measurement using LiDAR

  • LiDAR, one of the most important sensing methods used in mobile robots and cars with assistive/autonomous driving functions, is used to locate surrounding obstacles or to build maps. For real-time path generation, the detection of potholes or puddles on the driving surface is crucial. To achieve this, we used the coordinates of the reflection points provided by LiDAR as well as the intensity information to classify water areas, which was achieved by applying a linear regression method to the intensity distribution. The rationale for using the LiDAR index as an input variable for linear regression is presented, and we demonstrated that it is not affected by errors in the distance measurement value. Because of LiDAR vertical scanning, if the reflective surface is not uniform, it is divided into different groups according to the intensity distribution, and a mathematical basis for this is presented. Through experiments in an outdoor driving area, we could distinguish between flat ground, potholes, and puddles, and kinematic analysis was performed to calculate the maximum width that could be crossed for a given vehicle body size and wheel radius.

반다공성 재질에 유류된 지문의 CA 훈증 후 p-dimethylaminobenzealdehyde(DMAB) 형광시약 적용 시 표면적과 주변 온도, 기압이 형광착색에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구 (Enhancement of cyanoacrylate-developed marks using p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (DMAB) on semi-porous surfaces and analysis of the influence factors on fluorescence intensity)

  • 잠재지문이 유류된 배경과 지문과의 대조비를 높이기 위한 증강작업 시에 잠재지문의 훼손을 최소화하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 실험은 반다공성 표면에 유류된 잠재지문을 시아노아크릴레이트 훈증 처리 후 p-dimethylaminobenzealdehyde (DMAB) 증강시약을 사용하여 그 효과를 확인하고, 증강효과에 미치는 환경적 요인을 분석한 것이다. 실험에 사용된 모든 지문은 시아노아크릴레이트 진공 훈증 후 실온에서 24 시간 건조해 사용하였다. 시아노아크릴레이트 훈증물의 DMAB 형광염색을 위해 표면적, 온도, 기압을 달리한 조건에서 12 시간 단위로 48 시간 동안 승화시켰다. 표면적 영향에 대한 실험에서 물질의 입자크기와 용기의 크기는 DMAB의 승화속도와 형광세기에 영향을 주었다. 또한 무용매접촉법을 적용한 DMAB 형광염색은 36 시간 승화 후 최대 형광세기를 보였고, 일정 표면적 이상에서는 형광세기에 미치는 영향이 저조하였다. 온도에 관한 실험에서 DMAB는 $20^{\circ}C$의 실온에서 가장 잘 승화하였고, 최대형광 세기를 얻을 수 있는 승화시간이 48 시간에서 36 시간으로 단축되었다. 또한 $30^{\circ}C$이상의 상온에서는 오히려 적정 형광세기를 나타내는 승화시간이 길어지고, 형광세기에 미치는 영향도 미약했다. 또한 압력에 관한 실험에서는 압력의 변화가 매우 크지 않는 이상 형광세기가 비진공상태에서의 형광세기보다 약했다.

3차원 자유곡면식을 이용한 LED 비대칭 렌즈 설계 및 성능 비교 분석 (Analysis of Performance on Asymmetric LED Lens Design Using Three-Dimensional Free-Form Surface Expression)

  • The exit surface of a lens is designed using a three-dimensional free-form expression in order to easily modify a curved surface. This enables the design of numerical values and mathematical things using three-dimensional free-form expression, and enhances precision because it can be fine-tuned via numerical control. The standard of "Classification of Luminaire Light Distribution" for outdoor lighting fixtures by IESNA is adopted in order to examine the correlation between three-dimensional free-form surface expression and lighting performance. The variation of light distribution type and range is analyzed using the values of maximum light intensity and 50% light intensity. The actual tolerance occurs owing to parameters such as the thickness of the lens, the distance between LEDs, and the movement of the center of the incident surface; the effects of changes in these parameters on the performance are compared and analyzed.
