The impact of EPB pressure on surface settlement and face displacement in intersection of triple tunnels at Mashhad metro

  • The growth of cities requires the construction of new tunnels close to the existing ones. Prediction and control of ground movement around the tunnel are important especially in urban area. The ground respond due to EPB (Earth Pressure Balance) pressure are investigated using the finite element method by ABAQUS in intersection of the triplet tunnels (Line 2, 3 and 4) of Mashhad Urban Railway in Iran. Special attention is paid to the effect of EPB pressure on the tunnel face displacement. The results of the analysis show that in EPB tunneling, surface settlement and face displacement is related to EPB pressure. Moreover, it is found that tunnel construction sequence is a great effect in face displacement value. For this study, this value in Line 4 where is excavated after line 3, is smaller than that line. In addition, the trend of the displacement curves are changed with the depth for all lines where is located in above and below, close to and above the centerline tunnel face for Line 2, 3 and 4, respectively. It is concluded that: (i) the surface settlement decreases with increasing EPB pressure on the tunnel face; (ii) at a constant EPB pressure, the tunnel face displacement values increase with depth. In addition, this is depended on the tunneling sequence; (iii) the trend of the displacement curves change with the depth.

사면의 지표변위 측정을 위한 레이저 거리측정기의 활용 (Application of Laser Distance Measurer to measure ground surface displacement in slopes)

  • 본 연구에서는 레이저 거리측정기를 이용하여 사면의 지표변위를 효과적으로 측정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 기존 사면의 지표변위 혹은 지중변위를 측정하기 위한 복잡하고 고가의 장비 대신에 제안된 방법을 적용할 경우 보다 간편하고 쉽게 지표변위를 측정할 수 있다. 레이저 거리측정기는 적색 레이저를 측정을 원하는 피사체에 시준하면 반사되는 레이저를 이용해 거리를 측정하는 기기로 작동방법이 용이하고 측정정밀도도 아주 높으며, 가격이 저렴한 장점이 있다. 제안된 방법의 활용가능성을 검토하기 위하여 실제 지표변위가 지속적으로 발생되는 현장에 적용하였다. 대상지역은 석탄폐석 적치장의 영향으로 하부에 위치하는 절취사면 및 자연사면의 여러 위치에서 지표변위가 발생된 현장이다. 대상지역에 지표변위를 직접적으로 측정하기 위하여 6개의 측정구간과 26개의 측정지점을 선정하였다. 일정한 기간 동안 제안된 방법을 이용하여 측정한 결과 누적 지표변위량 뿐만 아니라 지표변위속도까지 측정이 가능하였다. 그리고 이들 결과를 종합적으로 분석하여 지표변위 발생방향을 확인 및 예측할 수 있다.

  • Maxwell-Displacement-Currnt-Measuring Technique(MDCM) is a simple system for displacement current measuring which consist with two electrodes to the electrometer, With this method, the displacement current flow only when the electric flux density change by the displacement of molecules or charge particles of membrance on the water surface. Thus, It is Possible to detect dynamic behavior of molecules of membrane without any electrical contact with molecule membrane. In this paper, We measure surface pressure, displacement current and dipole moment of phospholipid monolayers on the wafer surface with applied pressure by MDCM and We measured DTA(differential thermal analysis).

기능성 폴리이미드막 제작에 따른 수면상의 장쇄 알킬아민의 변위전류에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Displacement Current of Long Chain Alkylamines on the Water Surface for Preparation of Functional Polyimide Films.)

  • Displacement current measuring technique has been applied on the study of monolayers of functional polyimide containing azobenzene derivatives. The displacement current was generated from monolayers on the water surface by monolayer compression and expansion. Displacement current was generated when the area per molecule was about $70{\AA}^2$ and $100{\AA}^2$. Displacement currents were investigated in connection with monolayer of long chain alkylamines. It was found that the maximum of displacement current appeared at the molecular area just before the initial rise of surface pressure in compression cycles of polyamic acid and long chain alkylamines.

정확한 돌출 형상의 표현을 위한 변위매핑 (Displacement Mapping for the Precise Representation of Protrusion)

  • 물체의 표면에 돌출된 형상을 실시간으로 표현하는 변위매핑 방법에 대하여 설명한다. 기존의 이미지 기반 변위매핑 방법이 기준면에서 함몰된 형상만을 표현할 수 있는 것과 달리, 기준면에서 수직방향으로 돌출된 높이를 표현하여, 표면에서 돌출된 형상의 상세를 실시간으로 표현한다. 또한 폴리곤의 경계부분에서 시점에 따라 수직인 두 개의 면을 추가하여, 기준면의 경계 외부로 초과하는 픽셀의 변위를 표현하였다. 이로써 경계부분의 돌출 형상에 대한 정확한 외곽선을 표현할 수 있다. 제안된 방법은 부드러운 돌출 형상의 표현과 더불어 돌출 형상의 급격한 경사면에 텍스처 정보를 추가하여, 수직 돌출 형상을 포함한 급격한 경사면을 표현할 수 있다. 이 방법은 GPU에서 수행 가능한 픽셀 단위 계산으로 이루어져 실시간으로 가시화가 가능하며, 경계부위의 정확한 외곽선의 표현과 급격한 돌출 형상의 표현이 가능하여, 건물과 같이 기준면에서 돌출된 형상의 상세 표현에 사용된다.

Three-dimensional simplified slope stability analysis by hybrid-type penalty method

  • In this study, we propose a three-dimensional simplified slope stability analysis using a hybrid-type penalty method (HPM). In this method, a solid element obtained by the HPM is applied to a column that divides the slope into a lattice. Therefore, it can obtain a safety factor in the same way as simplified methods on the slip surface. Furthermore, it can obtain results (displacement and strain) that cannot be obtained by conventional limit equilibrium methods such as the Hovland method. The continuity condition of displacement between adjacent columns and between elements for each depth is considered to incorporate a penalty function and the relative displacement. For a slip surface between the bottom surface and the boundary condition to express the slip of slope, we introduce a penalty function based on the Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion. To compute the state of the slip surface, an r-min method is used in the load incremental method. Using the result of the simple three-dimensional slope stability analysis, we obtain a safety factor that is the same as the conventional method. Furthermore, the movement of the slope was calculated quantitatively and qualitatively because the displacement and strain of each element are obtained.

자기베어링용 로우터의 형상 오차에 대한 실린더형 캐패시턴스 센서의 측정특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement Characteristics of Cylindrical Type Capacitive Transducers to the Roundness Errors of Rotor for Magnetic Bearing)

  • The sending characteristics of the non-contact type displacement transducers can affect the performances of the magnetic bearing systems when they support the rotating shaft. The probe type displacement sensor detects not only the displacement of the rotor at the sensing position but also the surface irregularitis of the rotor such as surface roughnessand roundness errors. If there exist such measuring errors, the magnetic bearing can not apply proper force against the rotor displacements for the detected signal is the input to the magnetic bearing controllers. The cylindrical shape capacitive transducer can detect the rotor displacement by the integral sum of the charges which are formed between the sensor plates and rotor so that it can reduce the detecting errors induced by the surface irregularities of the rotor. By theore- tical analysis, we compared the sensing characteristics of the cylindrical shape capacitive transducers for the rotors that have some sinusoidal irregularities with that of the ideal probe type displacement transducers.

  • The Maxwell displacement current was investigated in the connection with phase diagram of monolayers on a water surface. We measwed the displacement current of 8A5H monolayers on the water surface. The displacement current generated during 8A5H monolayers compression. Also, displacement current pulses were found to be generated when isomerizations were induced in 8A5H monolayers by irradiation with ultraviolet light ($lambda_1=340nm$) and visible light($lambda_2=450nm$).

  • The displacemant current measuring system used for detecting the dynamic behavior of monolayers at the air-water interface is described. It basically consists of a film balance, a pair of electrodes connected to each other through a sensitive ammeter. Here, one electrode is suspended in air and the other electrode is placed in the water. With Maxwell-displacement-current-measuring method, the phase transitions of Poly-${\gamma}$ -benzyl D-glutamate(PBDG) on a water surface were detected. Measured surface pressure, displacement current and dipole moment of monolayers of PBDG on the water surface. We measured analyzed displacement current that occur when differed temperature. Could know that displacement current is proportional in increase of temperature and great as experiment result.

  • Detection of displacement current across spreading organic Azodyes was investigated using a displacement current measuring technique. It was found that displacement current was generated only when dynamical motion of organic monolayers was initiated on the water surface by photo-isomerization and application of surface pressure. Displacement current was generated only in the range before the initial rise of Surface pressures for azo dyes(8A5H) we are using the Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films deposition apparatus.
