This study aimed to design and build a web-based decision support system for wheat cultivation management. The system is designed to collect and measure the weather environment at the growth stage on a daily basis and predict the soil moisture content. Based on this, APSIM, one of the process-based crop models, was used to predict the potential yield of wheat cultivation in real time by making decisions at each stage. The decision-making system for wheat crop management was designed to provide information through a web-based dashboard in consideration of user convenience and to comprehensively evaluate wheat yield potential according to past, present, and future weather conditions. Based on the APSIM model, the system estimates the current yield using past and present weather data and predicts future weather using the past 40 years of weather data to estimate the potential yield at harvest. This system is expected to be developed into a decision support system for farmers to prescribe irrigation and fertilizer in order to increase domestic wheat production and quality by enhancing the yield estimation model by adding influence factors that can contribute to improving wheat yield.

The purpose of this study is developing a information support system for R&D decision making to maximize economic results of the R&D. This system is composed of studying the model of work flow for R&D decision making, analyzing a technology information, connecting with the databases from KISTI and others, and valuing R&D technology on line. Especially in the case of technology valuation, this system is combined with the valuation model which supports knowledge information for helping more objective estimation.

It has been an important agenda to acquire effective decision making procedure for various issues occurred in education area. As an example, when it comes for the ministry of education to make a decision on such an issue that proper investment, to enhance information of education area, in national wide elementary schools, an effective decision making procedure will aid to establish right way of investment. Currently, the questionnaires gathered from school teachers or the related professional consultants are the only resources in order for making such a critical and important decision. Recently, however, educational, medical, and financial industries are looking forward the best decision making method integrated with rapidly upgraded modern IT technologies using the various resources and tools which they already possess. With this subject in mind, in this paper we present a generic decision making model applying ADALINE neural network. The model can be easily adapted to various problems arising in education area. We proved the model through simulations with realistic sample data.

this paper, a data modeling method based on decision-making conditions is proposed for making combat and battlefield management systems to be intelligent, which are also a decision-making support system. A picture of a robot seeing and perceiving like humans and arriving a point it wanted can be understood and be felt in body. However, we can't find an example of implementing a decision-making which is the most important element in human cognitive action. Although the agent arrives at a designated office instead of human, it doesn't support a decision of whether raising the market price is appropriate or doing a counter-attack is smart. After we reviewed a current situation and problem in control & command of military, in order to collect a big data for making a machine staff's advice to be possible, we propose a data modeling prototype based on decision-making conditions as a method to change a current control & command system. In addition, a decision-making tree method is applied as an example of the decision making that the reformed control & command system equipped with the proposed data modeling will do. This paper can contribute in giving us an insight of how a future AI decision-making staff approaches to us.

This study was designed to examine the decision-making and family life satisfaction of the urban middle-aged housewives from the ecological perspective. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of ecological enviornment variables(ie, natural physical-biological environment·social-cultural environment·human-built environment) and their dicision-making on their family life satisfaction. Also, it is to provide some fundamental information that helps to elevate the family life satisfaction of the unban middle-aged housewives. The subjects of this study were 305 housewives living in Seoul and Inchon area, whose age was from 40 to 59. The significant results were as follows: 1) Their decision-making was affected by the following variables in the order of health condition, fate-control orientation, husband’s support, monthly family income and the perception of the adequacy of household income. 2) The ecological environment variables which had an influence on family life satisfaction were the perception of the adequacy of household income, husband’s support, fate-control orientation, health condition and educational level. 3) From the regression analysis, the model was found to be highly significant, accounting for 44% of the variance. Thus, husband’s support was the strongest predictor variable.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and to develop a decision support system for supporting the outworn facility replacement analysis in shipbuilding. This paper also provides an information system which can be effectively applied to various criteria in decision making. The modelbase of decision support system uses the concepts of the analytic hierarchy process along with an appropriate scoring methods. The AHP represents an improvement over other well-known scoring approaches since the criteria weights of priorities established by the AHP are not based on arbitrary scales, but use a ratio scale for human judgements. The proposed methodology in this research enables the decision maker to evaluate the investment alternatives based on qualitative data and quantitative data in a systematic way.

The main purpose of this study is to review the current system and to develop a decision support system for evaluating the priorities among those possible alternatives in the army facility enterprise. This paper also provides an information system which can be effectively applied to various criteria and stages in decision making process such as Planning and Programming phases in PPBEES. The model base of decision support systems uses the concepts of the analytic hierarchy process along with the supplementary techniques such as TOPSIS and 0-1 integer programming. Both AHP and TOPSIS are used scoring approaches in the Planning phase and IP is induced at the Programming phase to give GO/NO-GO solution for each project. We use Expert Choice, Excel and LINDO s/w's to implement a prototyped model. The proposed methodology in this paper enables the decision makers to evaluate the priority based on quantitative and qualitative data in a systematic way.

Purpose : This paper was attempted to identify the job stress related factors among the staff nurses and to provide the basic data concerning development of stress management program focused on hospitals. Method : The subjects were 309 staff nurses at two general hospitals in Seoul. Data were collected with self-reported questionnaires and analyzed by SPSS-PC+10.0 for descriptive analysis, ANOVA, stepwise multiple regression, factor analysis. Results : The subjects exhibit significantly highest level of 'the participation in decision making factor'. The mean score of 'control coping strategies' was higher than 'avoid coping strategies'. The mean scores of social support and stress responses were high. The main factor that affected the stress responses was 'the job characteristic factor' and it was explained 23.0% out of the total variance of the stress responses. Also, it would be explained 42.6% out of the total variance of the stress responses with 'the control coping strategies, work overload factors, social support, and participation in decision making factors'. Conclusion: For developing the hospital- focused stress management program for staff nurses, 'the participation in decision making factors' and 'the job characteristics' should be considered. Also, the organizational efforts and supports should be required to support and use of 'control coping strategies' of nurses

The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effect of career decision-making self-efficacy on the relation between the social support of professors and the career preparation behaviors of students who specialize in foodservice & culinary art. The participants of the study consisted of 250 students from the departments related to foodservice and culinary art of the three universities located in Chungcheong province. A total of 217 responses out of the 250 questionnaire were analyzed without the 33 incomplete questionnaires. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was shown that professors' social support had a significant positive effect on the career decision-making self-efficacy and the career preparation behaviors. Second, it shows that the career decision-making self-efficacy played a partial mediating role when the social support of the professors is related to the career preparation behavior. Therefore, the career education based on emotional, informational, material, and appraisal supports of the professors probably play a critical role in improving the career decision-making self-efficacy and the career preparation behaviors of the students majoring in food service & culinary art.

In this paper, we propose stable walking algorithm using ZMP for the biped robot in the slope-way. At first, we define discrete state variables that classified stable area and unstable area by center of mass from ZMP during slope-way walking. For the stable walking gait, the discrete state controller for determining the high-level and low-level decision making are designed. The high-level decision making is composed of the discrete state variables; left foot support phase, right foot support phase, flat-way, and slope-way. Then the continuous state controller is implemented for the low-level decision making using ZMP.
