Development Strategy of the Renewable Energy Industry through Improvement of Renewable Portfolio Standard : Focused on Photovoltaic and Wind (의무할당제도 개선을 통한 신재생에너지 산업의 발전 전략 : 태양광, 풍력에너지 중심)

  • Since increase in energy consumption and environmental issues started to grab global attention, various countries have had their own supporting policy to promote supply of renewable energy which is a stable and eco-friendly energy source. This study analyses Korean Renewable Portfolio Standard by comparative analysis of current policies in major countries in respect of design components of a pragmatic industrial policy system, such as political leadership, policy coordination and consultative committee discussion, and policy enforcement with responsibility and transparency. This is to identify problems and to present political suggestions for successful management of the standard based on a fundamental concept of the pragmatism industrial policy. It is predicted that the strategic cooperation between a market and a government leads to industry development as the relationships of two parties are regarded not as antagonistic but as complementary.

Effect of Web-services' Technological Interactivity on User-generated Contents' Perceived Efficiency and Quality (웹서비스의 기술적 상호작용성이 사용자 콘텐츠 생산 효율성과 품질 인식에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • One of the key factors for success in fostering web-service is the supply of user-generated contents(UGCs). Technological interactivity is an environmental factor which stimulates user-content interaction, and reflects the system's capability for supporting various interactions that are allowed by a medium. The present study uses a structural equation model to investigate the influence of three components of technological interactivity-user control, synchronicity, and responsiveness-on web-services' perceived content performance. The results show that web-services' user control and synchronicity exhibited a positive relationship with the perceived efficiency of content generation; further, perceived efficiency boosts perceptions of content quality, which means that the user control and synchronicity of a web-service also have an indirect effect on perceived content quality. Additionally, responsiveness has a positive effect on perceived content quality. These findings are important for marketers and operators seeking to make their web-service successful.

  • With the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent by 2020 and by 50 percent by 2050 from their 2005 level, International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulated the emissions of SOx and NOx by setting the emission control area in 2012. Since these environmental regulations have been reinforced, demands for the LNG fuel ships are expected to increase dramatically. Accordingly, the worldwide shipbuilding companies spur the development of the LNG fueled ships. Therefore, it is essential to carry out the research on the development of LNG fuel tank, which is one of the important components of the LNG fuel supply system. In this study, the deliberate finite element analysis of type-B LNG fuel tank for 10,000 TEU containership was carried out to evaluate structural safety and provide the process for analyzing stress levels and evaluating fatigue life of target structural. In particular, thermo-structural analysis and fatigue analysis were carried out using the databases on materials and structures of LNG fuel tank.

  • As high speed digital systems continue to use components with faster edge rate and clock speeds, transmission of the digital information, it can bring about many troubles. The increasing requirement for controlled impedance PCBs becomes both a critical success factor and a design challenge to implement a system. Especially, the noise sources in high frequency digital systems include the noise in power supply, ground and packaging, and they destroy the fidelity of signals. Therefore PCB design with impendence matching is needed to improve fidelity of signal in H/W. In this paper, we have developed an impedance control and analysis tool for multi-layer PCB design, and simulates the tracks controlled impedance with the test coupon. So, it can save the design time and support the economical PCB design.

The Impact of TANF on Income and Poverty : analyses by sub-component (미국 TANF정책이 소득 및 빈곤에 미친 영향: 하부조항별 분석)

  • The National Basic Livelihood Security(NBLS) System implemented from October 2000 has expanded cash assistance to cover the poor who are able to work in our country. Although the cash assistance for them has positive aspects of providing basic livelihood security for all people, but many scholars have also pointed out its negative aspects such as a decrease in labor supply among the poor. In order to provide policy implications for the cash assistance program of our country as well as the US, this paper examines the impact of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families(TANF) on poverty among single mothers and their families using data from March Current Population Survey of $1991{\sim}2002$. TANF imposes strong work requirements and time limits to recipients as conditions for cash assistance, which are major sub-components of TANF. Therefore, this paper analyzes TANF by looking at work requirements and time limits separately, not by looking at TANF as a single policy. The research findings show that work requirements significantly decreased income and increased poverty among single mothers. Although time limits show income increasing effects and poverty decreasing effects, it seems further studies on time limits are needed at this point. The research findings of this paper provide important lessons for welfare to work cash assistance of our country as well as the US.

  • Methanol fuel cells having advantages of relatively favorable reaction kinetics and higher energy density have attracted increasing interests as best alternative to hydrogen fuel cell because of H2 production, storage and distribution issues. While there have been extensive research works on developing key components such as electrocatalysts as well as their physicochemical properties in practical formic acid fuel cells, there have also been urgent requests for investigating which fuel sources will be more suitable for direct liquid fuel cells in future. In this mini-review, we highlight the overall interest and outlook of formic acid fuel cells in terms of electrocatalysts, fuel supply and crossover, water management, fuel cell efficiency and system integration in comparison with methanol fuel cells.

  • The efficiency of the purchasing and procurement logistics is important in automotive industry. The rationalization of production system is directly impact on productivity and quality. For this reason importance of logistics is high. Despite we are continuously making effort, our country are still below the level than developed country on logistics efficiency. Rising labor costs is an important factor in increasing logistics costs. So workforce reduction in logistics department is a large part. We deal with A-company inbound logistics, especially procurement logistics in automotive logistics as research object. So in this study we do research on work load balance about workers. We do research on 1,475 kinds of components in procurement process. We applied work load balance algorithm on chassis, final, sequence, trim warehouses workers. According to number of workers and average M/H, algorithm is applied in two ways. After applied work load balance algorithm we reduced numbers of workers from 28 to 20 and improved worker load balance rate from 47.1% to 93.7%.

A Study on the Influence of Smart Factory Key Factors on Management Performance through Internal Environmental Factors in Small and Medium Businesses (중소기업에서 내부 환경요인을 통한 Smart Factory 핵심요인이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study is an empirical study of 'the effect of the key factors of Smart Factory on management performance through internal environmental factors in small and medium enterprises'. The purpose of the research is to verify that the implementation of a Smart Factory affects the performance of management and contribute to the continued development of the company, and to suggest the national policy of expanding the deployment of a Smart Factory. The procedures were surveyed by working-level officials of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with a Smart Factory and statistically analyzed with the SPSS and SMART PLS. The results of the study showed that first, the environmental factors within the company had a positive effect on the key components of the Smart Factory. Second, the key factor in Smart Factory has had a positive impact on management performance. The above evidence shows that the key factors in smart factory considering the environmental factors of an enterprise affect its management performance, thus laying the theoretical foundation for the performance of smart factory construction. In the future, we will study how to build a Smart Factory.

A Study on the Plant Nutrients Impregnation Methods and Soil Covering Effects of Wood Chips (목재칩의 식물영양제 함침방법과 토양 피복효과에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, in order to develop a method to efficiently inject essential nutrients necessary for plant growth into wood chips, which are simply used as soil covering materials in the agriculture, landscaping and horticultural industries, the atmospheric pressure dipping method and the vacuum pressure impregnating method are used to improve the plant nutrients injectability and impregnation amount were comparatively analyzed. Nutrient ingredients and 8 major heavy metal contents of wood chips injected with nutrients were analyzed, and soil covering effects were examined by covering wood chips injected with nutrients on soil. Comparing the dipping method and the vacuum pressure impregnation method, it took about 48 hours or more to inject 1,500 g or more of the nutrient aqueous solution into 1 kg of wood chips in the dipping method, but the vacuum pressure impregnation method could be impregnated in about 5 minutes. Components of the impregnated nutrients were detected in proportion to the diluted concentration. As a result of covering the wood chips developed in this study on soil, they showed weakly acidic pH, and the heat insulation and moisturizing effects during the winter season were evaluated to be superior to those of uncovered soil. In the future, wood chips impregnated with nutrients are expected to contribute to the more efficient use of waste wood resources and the long-term supply of nutrients essential for plant growth, reducing excessive use of chemical fertilizers and reducing costs.

An Open API Proxy Server System for Widget Services (위젯 서비스를 위한 오픈 API 프록시 서버 시스템)

  • A widget is a small application running by the users' favorite services, so they are provided with web contents without explicitly visiting the web site. Although widgets can be easily implemented with Open APIs, only a few web sites provide them because of refactoring the structures of web resource to supply Open APIs to the widget developers. This paper presents an Open API Proxy Server System for widget services. The system consists of two components: an Open API Source Code Generator and an Open API Proxy Server. The Open API Source Code Generator provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for users to generate the Open APIs of user's choice and sends the Open API source code generation request to the Open API Proxy Server. The Open API Proxy Server using the HTML Table Processing Library receives the HTML web page from web site and extracts useful information from the target HTML table. The proxy server converts the extracted data into the corresponding XML document which becomes available through the Open API. We verify the operation of the proposed system through experiments with the HTML tables in the example web sites.
