This study investigates a buyer-supplier supply chain, in which a buyer delegates the production process to a supplier as in many practices. The consumer's buying intention and overall supply chain performance are affected not only by the buyer's decision on sales price but also by the supplier's decision on product quality. Therefore, the buyer has a motivation to control the supplier's quality investment. Among various incentive schemes that the buyer can adopt in practice, we consider a revenue-sharing contract and investigate its unique characteristics. By comparison with a typical wholesale price contract, we reveal that the revenue-sharing contract can enhance supply chain's overall performance, including quality, demand, and profits of not only overall supply chain but also each player. We contribute to the academia and the supply chain practice by providing important guidelines in adopting incentive schemes and effectively managing product quality in a supply chain.

We attempted to empirically analyze the supply chain performance of Korean companies. We utilized the supply chain performance metric of SCOR(Supply-Chain Operations Reference-Model) which has been developed by the Supply Chain Council. We especially focused on the supply chain asset performance using the currently available accounting database of Korean companies. Cash-to-cash cycle time, inventory days of supply, and asset turns were analyzed for 621 Korean companies during the last 5 year period 1997-2001. We compared the performance by industry type and company size. In addition, we compared the cash-to-cash cycle time of Korean companies with global companies.

Water supply capacity and operational capability in agricultural reservoirs are expressed differently in the limited storage due to seasonal and local variation of precipitation. Since agricultural water supply and demand basically assumes the uncertainty of hydrological phenomena, it is necessary to improve probabilistic approach for potential risk assessment of water supply capacity in reservoir for enhanced operational storage management. Here, it was introduced the irrigation vulnerability characteristic curves to represent the water supply capacity corresponding to probability distribution of the water demand from the paddy field and water supply in agricultural reservoir. Irrigation vulnerability probability was formulated using reliability analysis method based on water supply and demand probability distribution. The lower duration of irrigation vulnerability probability defined as the time period requiring intensive water management, and it will be considered to assessment tools as a risk mitigated water supply planning in decision making with a limited reservoir storage.

A multi-chemical supply system is developed and applied to a wet station, which uses the multi-chemical process in one bath. To control the concentration of two chemicals, control logic of a supply pump is programmed using the programable logic controller (PLC). By using the multi-chemical supply system, wet station with single bath is applied to cleaning process using multi chemicals such as buffed oxide etchant (BOE) and standard clean 1 (SC-1). The concentration of each chemical is measured in the bath to verify the multi-chemical supply system. The control range in the each chemical concentration is measured to 1.33weight% in NH4OH and 0.23weight% in H2O2. The multi-chemical supply system can be movable and usable as an independent module of fixed wet station. By simply midifying the PLC, a multi-chemical supply system can be developed for a wet station.

Today's competitive global market makes most enterprise endeavor to specialize their business areas, and co-operate with trading partners in supply chain by the forms of collaboration, information and business process sharing. However, even the supply chain plan generated by co-operation often fails to be executed successfully, because it was generated without capacities of suppliers and more over nested suppliers. To overcome this limitation, the supply chain plan of an enterprise should be generated truly integrated way. In this paper, we classify business patterns based on scenarios about quotation processing and supply chain planning in self-integrated environment. And we present business process models about four business patterns and describe them, which are classified by whether request for quotation includes information about price, required time periods, and quantity for each required time period and whether it is received from customer or sent to supplier. In addition, we describe the types of supply chain planning problem.

This paper examines the international commerce expert capability and business performance in global supply chain management. Based on the analysis of eighty-seven cases, the following results were found. First it was found that CEO's capability of global supply chain management firms and business performance are significantly correlated. Second, supply chain management manager's capability of global supply chain management firms and business performance are not significantly correlated. Third, CEO's capability have more a positive influence business performance than supply chain management manager's capability in global supply chain management firms.

Supply Chain Management is the process of planning, implementing and controlling the operations of the supply chain to satisfy customer requirements as efficiently as possible. It spans all movements and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point-of-origin to point-of-consumption. Korean Standards Association claims the Supply Chain Quality Management(SCQM) as a win-win model of organizations among the supply chains for the best product/service quality to final customers. The SCQM is focused on quality of product/service and will do much for improving manufacturing performance between customer and suppliers. Consulting-teams make every effort to design suitable solution for constructing solutions and improving the performance. This study is to analyze the performance of SCQM consulting, from July of 2007 to June of 2008, and would provide some guidelines to design the optimal consulting models and develop guidebooks.

This paper addresses an oil supply enhancement device to resolve a shortage of oil supply or no oil supply at all encountered at low speed operation for a variable speed reciprocating compressor used for household refrigerators. The oil supply enhancement device comprises a moving cylinder attached to the lower end of crankshaft and two of fluid diodes, each one at the inlet and outlet of the cylinder. Up-and-down movement of the cylinder against the lower end of the crankshaft together with the functioning of the two fluid diodes produces net oil flow from oil reservoir to inside the crankshaft. The experiment on the test bench has shown that enough oil supply into the oil feeding hole cu be made by using this device even at low speed range. Some analytical study has also been carried out to under-stand its oil supply mechanism.

This study shows how the service quality of port supply industry impacts with customer satisfaction and relationship orientation. Through previous research, service quality of port supply company is considered, at the same time, the key factor of service quality is divided into tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Sample design is based on shipping companies which are registered in Korea Ship owners' Association and Korea Ship managers' Association from Aug. 8 through 26 in 2011. And total of 275 questionnaires are collected from shipping companies in Busan and Kyong nam. Result of this study would be utilized in marketing strategy for port supply industry. In the future research, based on analysis of port supply company's characteristics, the study for port supply industry which are perceived by customers could be conducted.

There are two hydrogen supply systems which are central and distributed supply. Central supply system may be cost-effective but huge supply infra cost is needed. For cost-effectiveness, hydrogen supply with existing natural gas pipeline has been focused in Europe. From the analysis results in this study, hydrogen supply method with existing natural gas pipeline is the better for environmental availability including green house effect.
