  • Recently, SCM(Supply Chain Management) embraces the dynamic environmental changes of the participatory bodies in supply chain. Under this dynamic SCM environment, the selection of supplier and outsourcing company is very important. In their selection, the productivity and expertise of suppliers and outsourcing companies are, of course, to be considered as important factors, but whether or nottheycanmeettheduedateisacritical factor. In particular, this is true because an order-based manufacture ought to have CTP(Capable To Promise). For this purpose, by capitalizing onthevirtualmanufactureundertheSCM, this paper has tried to suggest a new agent system for the selection of supplier and outsourcing company. While performing virtual manufacture based on the integration scheduling, this system acquires the production environment and scheduling information of both suppliers and outsourcing companies on a real-timebasis,thusmakingintegrationschedulingpossible. Also, in order to provetheviabilityofthisstudy,thispaper has selected a specific domain and applied it.

Supplier-assembler Network Structure and Capability Improvement of Suppliers in Newly Emerging Vietnam's Motorcycle Industry

  • By analyzing five in-depth case studies of suppliers in newly emerging Vietnam's motorcycle industry, this paper explores the differences in patterns and processes of capability improvement of suppliers who participate in different kinds of supplier-assembler network with different structures. The paper finds the correlation between the kinds of suppliers' capabilities improved and the structure of networks they participate in. While suppliers in arm-length networks can improve more upstream capabilities (structure design, process desist), suppliers in embedded networks can improve more downstream capabilities (process design, process setup, process maintenance and delivery control). Two capability improvement patterns of firms in newly emerging economy are indicated. The first pattern is asymmetrical improvement, either upstream or downstream capabilities, by participating in either arm-length or embedded networks. This pattern obstructs the suppliers to meet the requirements of new buyers rho come from different kinds of network. The second pattern is symmetrical improvement by joining both arm-length and embedded networks.

비정상 수요를 가진 품목을 위한 예측기반 재고정책 (A Forecast-based Inventory Control Policy for an Item with Non-stationary Demand)

  • A logistics system involving a supplier who produces and delivers a single product and a buyer who receives and sells the product to the final customers is analyzed. In this system, the supplier and the buyer establish a contract which specifies that the supplier will deliver necessary amount of the product to raise inventory up to a specified position at the beginning of each period. A new periodic order-up-to-level inventory control policy specifically designed for nonstationary end customer's demand is proposed for the system. Simulations are used to test the efficiency of the proposed policy. An analysis of the test results reveals that the proposed policy performs much better than does the existing order-up-to-level policy, especially when the demand is nonstationary.

JIT구매 하에서의 단일제품의 통합재고모형에 관한 연구 (An Integrated Inventory Model for a Single Product and its Raw Materials in Just-In-Time Purchasing)

  • In this paper, we consider an integrated inventory system where a single supplier purchases and processes raw materials in order to deliver finished goods to a single buyer for effective implementation of Just-In-Time purchasing. An integrated JIT lot-splitting model of facilitating multiple shipments in small lots is developed in a JIT purchasing environment. Also, an iterative solution procedure is developed to find the order quantity for the finished goods and raw materials, and the number of shipments between buyer and supplier. We show by example that the integrated policy adopted by both buyer and supplier in a cooperative manner can provide them a greater economic benefit than seeking the local optimal inventory policy independently.

Supplier Evaluation in Green Supply Chain: An Adaptive Weight D-S Theory Model Based on Fuzzy-Rough-Sets-AHP Method

  • Supplier evaluation is of great significance in green supply chain management. Influenced by factors such as economic globalization, sustainable development, a holistic index framework is difficult to establish in green supply chain. Furthermore, the initial index values of candidate suppliers are often characterized by uncertainty and incompleteness and the index weight is variable. To solve these problems, an index framework is established after comprehensive consideration of the major factors. Then an adaptive weight D-S theory model is put forward, and a fuzzy-rough-sets-AHP method is proposed to solve the adaptive weight in the index framework. The case study and the comparison with TOPSIS show that the adaptive weight D-S theory model in this paper is feasible and effective.

학교급식 식자재 공급업체 선정요인의 우선순위에 관한 연구 (An Analysis on the Priority of Selection of Supplier for School Food Service Materials)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how nutritionists, principals and parents evaluated the importance and priorities of different selection factors for food materials suppliers in an attempt to suggest how to ensure the best supplier choice, since the selection of the best supplier was mandatory for the successful TQM of school food services. This study especially aims to develop priority alternatives based on relative rather than absolute assignments on selection of suppliers for school food service materials. To apply AHP, the selection factors of a food materials suppliers were grouped into five categories, which included quality, service, reliability, hygiene and price. And the five categories involved 28 elements. As the result, quality was considered most crucial on the whole, followed by service, reliability, hygiene and price; and food labeling in the category of quality evaluated as that of first priority in the totality evaluation elements.

  • 본 연구는 COVID-19과 같이 불확실성이 증대되어 있는 상황에서 인지된 불확실성, 거래특성, 공급업체 역량과 공급망 성과 간의 상호 관계를 문헌 연구를 바탕으로 제시하였다. 이론 고찰 결과 거래특성 및 공급업체 역량은 인지된 불확실성에 영향을 미치며, 인지된 불확실성은 공급망 성과에 영향을 미치는 매개 변수가 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 현재와 같은 팬데믹 상황이 공급망의 성과에 미치는 영향을 돌이켜보고, 동일한 환경 하에서 불확실성을 상대적으로 낮추기 위한 방법을 본 연구에서 제시한 연구모형과 이론적 고찰을 바탕으로 살펴볼 수 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다 하겠다.

Entrepreneurial Orientation and Performance for Subcontracting Korean SMEs: The Role of Buyer-Supplier Relationship

  • The main objective of this study is to examine the impact of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) on small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) performance in the context of subcontracting buyer-supplier relation. Specifically, we seek to examine whether the power dynamics between buyer and supplier either support or hamper subcontracting SMEs' ability to effectively pursue EO for enhancing their performance. Research design, data, and methodology: We collected survey questionnaires from Korean SMEs that are certified with Inno-biz by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 26 and AMOS to create an integrated model. Result: Based on the analysis, our findings indicate that the proactiveness and innovativeness dimensions of EO have a positive effect on the SMEs' performance. However, the risk-taking dimension of EO has a negative effect on performance. Additionally, buyer dependency exhibit both positive and negative moderating effects on different dimensions of EO. Conclusion: For SMEs that rely heavily on a particular buyer in terms of sale, pursuing innovativeness dimension of EO could lead to positive performance, while pursuing proactiveness dimension of EO had a negative moderating effect on performance.

  • Big data seems to change knowledge management system and method of enterprises to large extent. Further, the type of method for utilization of unstructured data including image, v ideo, sensor data a nd text may determine the decision on expansion of knowledge management of the enterprise or government. This paper, in this light, attempts to figure out the prediction model of demands and supply for big data market of Korea trough data mining decision making tree by utilizing text bit data generated for 3 years on web and SNS for expansion of form for knowledge management. The results indicate that the market focused on H/W and storage leading by the government is big data market of Korea. Further, the demanders of big data have been found to put important on attribute factors including interest, quickness and economics. Meanwhile, innovation and growth have been found to be the attribute factors onto which the supplier puts importance. The results of this research show that the factors affect acceptance of big data technology differ for supplier and demander. This article may provide basic method for study on expansion of analysis form of enterprise and connection with its management activities.

협력은 항상 옳은가? 거래 의존성과 비선형 관계를 고려한 공급사슬 협력에 대한 재고찰 (Does it Always Pay to be Collaborative? Supply Chain Collaboration Revisited in the Consideration of Supplier-Buyer Dependence and Curvilinear Relationships)

  • Firms have reexamined and restructured their supply chain based on a long-term and partnership perspective as a firm's competitive advantage increasingly relies on its supply chain capability. A number of scholar works has provided evidence to support the positive effects of supply chain collaboration; however, the relationship between collaboration and performance is still inconclusive. This study refuses to have blinded faith on supply chain collaboration, but rather this paper suggests that the contribution of collaboration to supply chain performance improvement can be limited and vary along the contextual characteristics of a buyer-supplier relationship. Moreover, we argue that the relationship between supply chain collaboration and performance can be curvilinear. This paper provides and test hypotheses regarding the relationship between supply chain collaboration and performance. By using data of the Manufacturing Panel Survey (MPS), this study empirically validates the hypotheses. Overall, the results of the study support our hypotheses about a limited contribution of supply chain collaboration to manufacturing performance, which is opposite to a conventional expectation. Particularly, the effects of supply chain collaboration differ depending on the dimensions of performance such as customer satisfaction, quality, cost, delivery, and flexibility as well as the dependency in the buyer-supplier relationship. Moreover, the results of the study indicate that supply chain collaboration and performance may have curvilinear relationships in a certain context. Through a comprehensive model and empirical evidence, this study presents a better understanding of supply chain collaboration and provokes an open discussion about the effects of collaboration. This study also provides insightful implications for managers of buyers as well as suppliers who wish to foster stronger supply chain performance via a deep buyer-supplier relationship and collaboration.
