The Effect of Perceived Organizational Supports, Perceived Supervisory Supports and Perceived Peer Supports on Innovative Behavior: Focused on the Job Embeddedness of Automotive Industry Research Institute Using VR Technology

  • In this paper, we propose to explore ways to create internal motivation to enhance the job disposition of Korean and Chinese employees. In order to achieve this goal, we would like to select parameters that may trigger an increasing number of internal motivations for interest in recent years: perceived organisational support, perceived provider support, and perceived peer support, and to explore the impact on job embeddedness. I would like to find out the effect of job embodiedness on involved beauty. The process also seeks to verify that China and South Korea are different. To verify the research theory of this research, we will use a questionnaire to researchers of automotive companies using VR technology in Gyeonggi-do, Korea and Hadong-seong, China, and conducted a survey. A total of 200 pairs of questionnaires were distributed to the study subjects, 195 of which were retrieved, 191 of which eliminated unfaithful responses were used for the final analysis. The collected data were used for frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, structural equation analysis. The results of this study, identified through empirical analysis, can be summarized as follows: First, Perceived Organizational Support, Perceived Supervisor Support will have a positive impact on Job Embeddedness. Second, Job Embeddedness will have a positive influence on the Innovative Beehivior. Third, Perceived Organizational Support, Perceived Supervisor Support will have a partial positive effect on Innovative Behavior. Fourth, the formation process and influence of Job Embeddedness of corporate employees in Korea and China are partly different, the report showed.

Exploring Interaction between Interactive Services and Presenteeism of Korean Service Workers: The Moderating Effects of Supervisor Support (서비스직 근로자의 고객응대업무와 프리젠티즘: 상사 지지의 조절효과)

  • Purpose: This study delves into the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism among Korean service workers, aiming to discern the moderating effects of supervisor support on the relationship. Methods: Utilizing secondary data from the sixth Korean Working Conditions Survey, involving 7,628 service workers, this study conducted logistic moderated regression analysis to scrutinize the moderating effects of supervisor support on the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism. Results: Approximately 10% of workers experienced presenteeism in the previous 12 months. Females, low-educated, elderly, those working long hours, and low-wage workers were more likely to perceive presenteeism. Notably, a statistically significant U-shaped curvilinear relationship was observed between interactive service duration and presenteeism. The results also underscore the moderating role of supervisory support in shaping the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism. Conclusion: The study highlights the significance of supervisor interest and support in promoting workers' health, thereby not only improving the wellbeing of individual workers but also fostering organizational productivity by reducing presenteeism.

Implemeention and performance measurement of a novel in-service supervisory system for WDM transmission link (파장분할다중화방식 전송로의 In-service 감시를 위한 새로운 감시시스템의 구현 및 성능평가)

  • Novel supervisory system for WDM transmission link using conventional optical time domain reflectometry was presented. By modifying the structure of erbuim doped fiber amplifier to support bi-directional transmission at arDR pulse wavelength and launching the optical pulse into transmission link in the opposite direction of data signal propagation to avoid the distortion by cross-gain modulation, it is possible to monitor the WDM link in service. To prove the validity of proposed scheme, the supervision result of 2.5 Gbps $\times$ 8 channel WDM 320 km transmission system in service by arDR was presented. And power penalty due to monitoring was measured as smaller than 0.3 dB. .3 dB.

Factors Affecting Social Support, Emotional Exhaustion and Job Stress on Job Satisfaction and Intention to Leave of Male Nurses (남자 간호사의 사회적지지, 정서적 소진 및 직무스트레스가 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the relationship between social support, emotional exhaustion and job stress job satisfaction and intention to leave of male nurses. Methods: The subjects of this study were 90 male nurses working in hospitals, and data analysis was performed multiple regression analysis to examine factors affecting job satisfaction and intention to leave. Results: The current job satisfaction rate of male nurses was 52.8%, and the rate of intention to leave within one year was 38.2%. Job satisfaction was lower for male nurses as job stress was higher(${\beta}=-.44$), p<.001), and the higher the supervisory support in social support, the higher the job satisfaction(${\beta}=.23$), p=.011). The higher the emotional exhaustion, the higher the intention to leave(${\beta}=.35$, p<.001). Conclusion: In order to maintain male nurses as important nursing staff in hospitals, various policy are needed to reduce the job stress of male nurses and to increase job satisfaction by lowering job stress and to reduce the intention to leave by reducing emotional exhaustion.

  • The SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system is a control system for infrastructure of nation. In the past, the SCADA system was designed without security function because of its closed operating environment. However, the security of the SCADA system has become an issue with connection to the open network caused by improved technology. In this paper we review the constraints and security requirements for SCADA system and propose advanced key management architecture for secure SCADA communications. The contributions of the present work are that our scheme support both message broadcasting and secure communications, while the existing key management schemes for SCADA system don't support message broadcasting. Moreover, by evenly spreading much of the total amount of computation across high power nodes (MTU or SUB-MTU), our protocol avoids any potential performance bottleneck of the system while keeping the burden on low power (RTU) nodes at minimal.

  • The existing SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system software is usually developed to suitable for the specific hardware platforms. However, as per rapid improvement of computer performance and development of network technology, it is required to support scalability and inter-operability in existing different SCADA systems. In order to meet such requirements, in this paper, we propose a new type of SCADA testbed using Java for electric distribution applications. The system consists of three modules; development support tools, client and server modules. The basic architecture of the proposed SCADA system is similar to existing one, however, we improve the function of MTU and MMI interface to facilitate LAN and WAN environment. Also, the proposed system can deals with alarm and history data by using heterogeneous DBMS. Since the system is built in Java environment, the development cost is cheap and it can support sacalability and portability. Our experience can be utilized to develop next generation of small and medium size of SCADA system.

The Differential Effect of Emotional Labour on Boundary Spanners

  • Purpose: The study sought to uncover the effect of emotional labour strategies (surface acting and deep acting) on job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion. The study also purposed to analyse the moderating effect of organisational support (supervisory support and co-worker support) and the role of gender on emotional labour connotations. Research design, data and methodology: A conceptual framework was developed using extant literature which led to the examination of deep acting and surface acting, which are the two main strategies of emotional labour. The outcome variables were emotional exhaustion and job satisfaction. Data was collected from front line employees of banks and was analysed using SEM-AMOS version 21. Results: It was revealed, in this study, that surface acting is inversely related to job satisfaction and positively related to emotional exhaustion, whereas deep acting was positively related to job satisfaction and inversely related to emotional exhaustion. The roles of gender and organisational support were also confirmed. Conclusions: The study therefore concluded that deep acting is the most ideal strategy of emotional labour as it leads to job satisfaction and reduced emotional exhaustion. Surface acting is a harmful emotional labour strategy.

The Effect of the Adoption of Principle-based International Financial Reporting Standards on Financial Reporting of Korean Small/Medium-Size Enterprises(SMEs) (원칙중심의 국제회계기준 도입이 중소-중견기업의 재무보고에 미친 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This paper examines the effect of the adoption of international financial reporting standards(IFRS) on the financial reporting of SMEs. As IFRS is principle-based, management's discretion is needed to reflect the economic substance of transactions, and a sound internal accounting infrastructure is needed to support the judgment process. In the case of SMEs, the internal accounting infrastructure is not well established, which makes it difficult to apply principle-based accounting. The survey analysis of 132 small and medium-sized business accounting managers listed in the domestic stock market showed that the reliability of financial statements has increased due to the introduction of IFRS. In particular, SMEs perceived their financial statements as being more reliable after the adoption of IFRS than midsize companies. However, it was found that the costs and risks from the preparation of financial statements have increased significantly, and conflicts between auditors and supervisory authorities related to the application of the principles have increased. In particular, midsize companies felt the increase in conflict with auditors and supervisory authorities bigger than small companies. As for the practical difficulties in applying IFRS, both small and medium-sized companies have difficulty in interpreting the standards and lacked guidelines. In order to resolve these difficulties, it is necessary to enhance the function of Q&A by the Korea Accounting standard board(KASB) or Financial Supervisory Service(FSS). In conclusion, the reliability of the financial statements of SMEs has improved with the introduction of IFRS. However, we believe that policy and institutional support is needed in order to have better financial reporting for SMEs.

Liability for Damages Due to Violation of Supervisory Duty by the Legal Guardian of the Mental Patient (정신질환자 보호의무자의 감독의무 위반으로 인한 손해배상책임 -대법원 2021. 7. 29. 선고 2018다228486 판결의 검토-)

  • Supreme Court 2018Da228486, on July 29, 2021, ruled Article 750 of the Civil Act as the basis for liability for damages due to the violation of the supervisory duty of the responsible mental patient. This judgment recognizes that the legal guardian is liable for tort due to neglect of the responsibility of supervision under Article 750 of the Civil Act because the duty of protection bears the duty of supervision over the mental patient under the law. However, unlike the case of Article 755 Paragraph 1, which explicitly requires a legal obligation to supervise, Article 750 only stipulates general tort liability. Thus, to admit tort liability under Article 750, it is not necessary that the basis of the supervisory duty by the law. In this case, the supervisory duty may also be acknowledged according to customary law or sound reasoning. The duty of supervision of a legal guardian is not a general duty to prevent all consequences of the behavior of a mental patient but a duty within a reasonably limited scope. Therefore, the responsibility of the burden of care should be acknowledged only when the objective circumstances in which it is appropriate to hold the legal guardian for the acts of the mental patient are admitted. Under the Act on the improvement of mental health and the support for welfare services for mental patients, a legal guardian cannot even be granted the supervisory duty to prevent the mental patient from harming others.

Effects of Job Stress and Supervisory Support on Depression of Care Givers in Elderly Care Facilities (직무 스트레스와 직장 상사의 지지가 요양보호사의 우울감 경험에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of job stress and support from supervisors on depression of care givers in elderly care facilities. Methods: Subjects were 191 care givers working in elderly care facilities in K-Province in Korea. Data were collected from self-administered questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, F-test, Pearson's and Spearman's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple logistic regression with dummy variables were used for statistical analysis of data. Results: Job stress measured with Korean Occupational Stress Scale was $56.16{\pm}5.88$. Emotional and instrumental support from supervisors were $37.05{\pm}7.30$ and $32.39{\pm}7.34$, respectively. After controlling for general characteristics, job stress was significantly related to depression (OR: 1.07, 95% CI: 1.01~1.14). However, job stress became non-significant in the model that included instrumental support from supervisors. Not emotional but instrumental support from supervisors was significantly related to depression of care givers (OR: 0.93, 95% CI: 0.88~0.99). Conclusion: Results of this study suggest that job stress has negative effects and instrumental support from supervisors has protective effects on depression of care givers in elderly care facilities. Therefore, measures to increase instrumental support by supervisors should be developed to improve psychological health of care givers in elderly care facilities.
