창업기업의 일과 삶의 균형 효과: 조직 자부심과 업무 만족 (An Effect of Work and Life Balance of Startup: Focus on Organizational Pride and Job Satisfaction)

  • It is important for the Startup team to enhance their employee's work & life balance in recent ages. this study is to research the effect of work & life balance on organizational pride, job satisfaction and performance. Also, we explore how the organizational climate which compose with autonomy, leader's support and trust affects work & life balance. This study analyzed the path effect with PLS method using data from 151 Startup teams. The results of analysis are as follows. First, it was confirmed that supervisor's support, trust of team climate positively influence work & life balance but autonomy is not confirmed to have the relationship with work & life balance. Second, work & life balance have a positive effect on organizational pride and job satisfaction. In addition, this study shows that organizational pride and job satisfaction have the relationship between work & life balance and team performance. Also, Startup team managing the work & life balance will get better performance and retain the competition.

Managing Business Quality Using a Performance Management System

  • Purpose - The study's aim is to assess performance quality delivered through a performance management system. The case study first measures the effectiveness of the present performance management system of Bhushan Steel Ltd. (BSL), and then secondarily analyzes the employee training impact. Research design, data, and methodology - A case study research approach using a survey was followed. The final sample size was 50, with a simple random sampling technique used. Primary data came from the company itself and the secondary from books, the Internet, journals, etc. Results - BSL employee appraisals are used for many developmental aspects such as competence in the present job, improvements, performance development, and training needs. The results indicate that individual performance can improve if employees perceive the system as more transparent (i.e., not so confidential). Conclusions - Overall, the BSL employees think that the company appraisal system is useful; however, to make it better the company has to improve many aspects including appraisals based on supervisor observations. The company could use a self-appraisal and a 360-appraisal approach to improve such assessments.

기업 HRD 교육훈련 프로그램의 조직지원 특성에 따른 효과성 (Effect of the Characteristics of Organizational Support on Company HRD Education & Training Program)

  • 본 연구는 기업 HRD 교육훈련 프로그램에 대한 조직지원 특성이 HRD 교육훈련 프로그램의 효과성에 미치는 영향을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원으로 구성된 조직지원 특성을 독립변인으로 하고, 반응, 학습, 전이, 결과수준을 효과성의 종속변수로 하여 실증분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 자료 수집은 2011년 8월 16일부터 9월 9일까지 국내 상장 및 코스닥 등록 증권사 중 서울에 본사를 두고 상시 재직자 온 오프라인 교육훈련 프로그램을 운영하고 있는 5개 기업의 임직원에게 설문지를 이용하여 배포하였다. 설문지는 3차로 나누어 총 340부가 배포되었으며, 총 164부의 설문지가 최종분석에 활용되었다. 검증 결과, 가설 1. 조직지원 특성이 반응수준에 미치는 영향에서, 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원은 반응수준에 대해서 모두 p<0.01 수준에서 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음이 확인되었다. 가설 2. 조직지원 특성이 학습수준에 미치는 영향에서, 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원은 학습수준에 대해서 p<0.05, p<0.01 수준에서 유의한 영향을 미치고 있음이 확인되었다. 가설 3. 조직지원 특성이 전이수준에 미치는 영향에서, 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원은 전이수준에 대해서 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 가설 4. 조직지원 특성이 결과수준에 미치는 영향에서, 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원은 결과수준에 p<0.01 수준에서 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 기업 교육훈련의 효과성은 교육훈련 프로그램의 내용과 질도 중요하지만, 교육훈련 과정에 대한 지지체계와 학습한 것을 실제 업무 현장에 적용할 수 있는 환경이 성과에 더 큰 영향을 미친다는 선행연구 결과를 재확인할 수 있었으며, 실제로 교육훈련 프로그램을 주관하고 실시하는 기업이나 전문가들은 교육훈련 프로그램 설계 특성도 중요하나, 조직지원 특성이 교육훈련 효과에 중요하게 작용함을 인식하여야 할 것이다.

병원 간호단위관리자의 다면평가($360^{\circ}$ feedback)에 관한 연구 (A Study on $360^{\circ}$ Feedback of Nursing Unit Manager in a Hospital)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop 360 feedback for nursing unit manager based on the current personnel evaluation system and to evaluate the new tool according to evaluation subjects. Total of 277 subjects of nurse unit managers and staff nurses were participated in this study. Method: The study was conducted in three phases each for development, application, and analysis of 360 feedback. SAS program was utilized for data analysis with descriptive statistics, t-test, and analysis of variance. Result: The evaluation criteria of the developed 360 feedback tool consisted of 13 subscales such as professional knowledge, apprehension & judgement, job performance, applicability, creativity, leadership, responsibility, promptness & accuracy, administrative ability & sense of mission, activeness, cooperation, communicability, and general attitude. The internal consistency of the tool was Cronbach's alpha .939. The evaluation score by! peers(M=4.30) was the highest one, followed by self-evaluation(M=4.23), evaluation by supervisor(M=4.17), and evaluation by subordinate(M=4.10). The differences in the total evaluation scores among the subjects supervisor, self, peer, and subordinate were not statistically significant, but significant differences were found in some subscales scores. Conclusion: Further research is required to test the reliability and validity of the $360^{\circ}$ feedback tool, and to test the outcome and the process of $360^{\circ}$ feedback system.

차량 안정성 향상을 위한 ESC와 ARS의 통합 샤시 제어 알고리즘 개발 (An Investigation into Coordinated Control of 4-wheel Independent Brakes and Active Roll Control System for Vehicle Stability)

  • This paper describes an investigation into coordinated control of electronic stability control (ESC) and active roll control system (ARS). The coordinated control is suggested to improve the vehicle stability and agility features by yaw rate control. The proposed integrated chassis control algorithm consists of a supervisor, control algorithms, and a coordinator. The supervisor monitors the vehicle status and determines desired vehicle motions such as a desired yaw rate and desired roll motion based on control modes to improve vehicle stability. According to the corresponding the desired vehicle dynamics, the control algorithm calculated a desired yaw moment and desired roll moment, respectively. Based on the desired yaw moment and the desired roll moment, the coordinator determines the brake pressures and the ARC motor torques based on control strategies. Closed loop simulations with a driver-vehicle-controller system were conducted to investigate the performance of the proposed control strategy using CarSim vehicle dynamics software and the integrated controller coded using Matlab/Simulink.

국내 무대의상 제작시스템 방법론 정립에 관한 연구 - 뮤지컬 '시카고'를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Production System of Korean Stage Costume - Focused on the Musical 'Chicago' -)

  • Ever since the year 2000, Korea's musical markets has invited famous overseas license performances and have therefore cooperated with staffs working overseas in regards to stage costumes. This study aims to suggest the methodology of the stage costume making process according to the present advanced production system of Korea's musical market. The researcher participated in the stage costume making work of 'Chicago' as a costume supervisor. It took place at the Opera House of Seongnam Art Center from January 10, 2010 to February 28, 2010. Furthermore, there was significance in reinforcing academic values and implementing practical making process of stage-costumes based on the actual field work. The method of this research was carried out through a theoretical research and a case study that focused on empirical research. As for the research scope, it was limited to the actual stage-costumes that the researcher fully engaged with as a costume supervisor of the musical 'Chicago.' The results of this study were as follows. The stage costume making process of the musical 'Chicago' was categorized according to the classification of production system in the performance. For pre-production, it was divided according to the information of the actor and the analysis of the bible. Rehearsal period was divided according to the product clothes and fitting. Production week & preview were divided according to the changeover of clothes and the arrangement of dressers. The Run was divided according to the inspection of the situation concerning clothes in general during the performance. Post-Production Period was divided according to the collection of clothes and the implemented database. This study eventually suggested appropriate stage-costume making processes for the costumes making environment according to the expansion of overseas license musical market. However, it has a limitation of the research scope to the musical 'Chicago.' The creative performances of the domestic version are planned in diverse forms and come to abroad animate by the Korean Wave. Therefore, the field of stage-costume is necessary for the establishment of practical schemes of the system and copyright in accordance with the environment.

상사의 태도와 직무 특성이 창의적 성과를 일으키는 과정에 관한 연구 (The Effects of Leader's Attitude and Job Characteristics on Subordinate's Creative Performance)

  • 점점 더 변화의 속도가 빨라지고 예측하기 힘들어지고 있는 글로벌 기업환경은 기업들에 새로운 대처방안을 끊임없이 요구하고 있다. 고객들의 니즈가 더 다양해지고, 시장과 기술이 끊임없이 변화하며, 글로벌 경쟁이 점점 더 심화되고 있는 상황에서, 현실에 안주하고 변하지 않거나 새로운 가치를 창출하지 못하는 기업은 생존할 수 없는 시대인 것이다. 불확실성을 극복하고 기업이 생존하기 위해서 '창의적'이어야만 하는 시대가 된 것이다. 기업의 창의성은 업무능력이나 성과와는 달리 금전적 물리적 보상으로 쉽게 활성화되지 않는다. 다양한 재능 경험 배경을 가진 사람들이 자기 의견을 마음껏 개진해 나아갈 수 있는 환경이 존재할 때 가능해지는 것이다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고, 지금까지의 연구는 기업 경영의 측면에서보다는 창의성 교육위주로 진행되어 왔으며, 기업 연구에서도 실제 성과로 이어지는 프로세스에 관한 연구보다는 주로 종업원들의 성격요인을 중심으로 연구가 진행되어왔다. 즉, 종업원이 처한 조직 내 상황적 특성으로서 현재의 비금전적 비물리적으로 동기부여를 최대한 이끌어낼 수 있는 환경적 요소들에 대한 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기업의 비제도적 측면에서 종업원이 가장 근접하게 가지게 되는 조직 내 특징적 환경 속에서 창의적 성과를 일으키게 하는 과정을 규명해 보았다. 창의성을 발현하는 과정으로서 조직의 창의성을 이해하는데 필수적인 동기부여와 창의적 프로세스참여를 매개체로 하여 종업원의 직무특성과 상사가 보여주는 태도라는 상황적 요인들이 종업원들의 창의성 발현의 결과물이라 할 수 있는 창의적 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 규명하고자 하였다.

대학도서관 사서의 감정노동에 관한 연구 - 상사의 감성지능, 사회적 지원 및 도서관서비스 제공수준과의 관계를 중심으로 - (The Librarian's Emotional Labor at the University Libraries: Focusing on the Relationship among Supervisor'S Emotional Intelligence, Social Support and Library Service Level)

  • 본 연구에서는 대학도서관 사서를 대상으로 도서관서비스 접점에서 발생하는 사서의 감정노동이 직무와 관련된 상사의 감성지능, 사회적 지원, 도서관서비스 제공수준에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 이를 위하여 전국의 218개 4년제 대학도서관 중에서 국공립 13개, 사립 28개의 총 41개 기관의 사서를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 회수된 응답지 529부(회수율 99.2%)를 SPSS 버전 21.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 신뢰도분석, 요인분석, 판별타당성분석, 상관관계분석, 변량분석, 단순회귀분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 서비스산업 분야 종사자의 감정노동이 직무만족에 부정적인 결과를 초래한다는 기존의 연구와는 달리, 사서의 감정노동은 오히려 조직의 직무와 관련된 상사의 감성지능, 사회적 지원 및 도서관서비스 제공수준에 긍정적인 영향을 가져왔다. 이러한 결과는 일반 서비스산업 분야의 감정노동자들과는 달리 대학도서관 사서는 상대적으로 감정노동을 스트레스로 적게 인식하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 이용자 만족을 충족시키고자 하는 직업적 마인드가 크기 때문에 감정노동에 있어 긍정적 효과가 나타난 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 도서관서비스의 질적 향상을 위해서 사서의 감성 지능을 강화하는 훈련프로그램이 필요하다.

소규모 사업장의 보건관리업무수행 관련 요인 (Factors Associated with Performance of Occupational Health Services in Small-sized Workplaces)

  • Purpose: This study is to identify factors associated with performance of occupational health services in small-sized workplaces in Korea. Methods: The data were collected from a random sample of 1,158 occupational health managers working for small-sized workplaces across the nation in which occupational health services were supported by Korean Industrial Health Association. A structured questionnaire was self-administrated by occupational health managers about characteristics of workplaces, occupational health managers, and performance level of occupational health services. Results: Stepwise multiple regression analyses revealed that factors associated with performance of occupational health services in small-sized workplaces included supervisor being designated, occupational health manager having received safety and health training, and employer's concern with activities of health management. Conclusion: Government should make efforts to raise the level of employer's concern to occupational health activities. And it is needed to promote health managing staff as a core personnel to self-management for occupational health system.

수도권 일부지역 외식업체의 위생 관리 현황 및 실태조사 (The Status and the Actual Sanitation Management Conditions of Food Services within the Metropolitan Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the food sanitation awareness and performance of foodservice industry employees. Based on a literature review, a questionnaire was developed to identify the food sanitation education, experience, knowledge, and food sanitation practices of the employees. A total of 376 Korean food industry employees participated, and there were 344 usable questionnaires. In the analysis of food sanitation knowledge, the statements "clip fingernails short and do not use nail polish", and "if feeling sick, even with a minor cold, speak to your supervisor immediately", had the highest and lowest percentages of correct answers, respectively. In assessing employee sanitary management practices, many correctly acknowledged "clip fingernails short and do not use nail polish" and "wash hands after using the toilet", which received high scores; however, "use hands to pick up ice" and "if feeling sick, even with a minor cold, speak to your supervisor immediately" had low scores. The sanitary knowledge and practice levels of the employees were not significantly different according to gender, age, work area, job title, or duration of duty. Among the surveyed industries, employees of special restaurants had the least sanitary knowledge(p<0.05) and practice scores(p<0.001). Employees who had worked for $1{\sim}3$ years presented the least sanitary management practice level scores(p<0.05).). In addition, college students and participants without hygiene educational experience showed the least levels of sanitary knowledge(p<0.01). Scores for sanitary management practice were higher when hygiene education was regularly conducted more than once per month. Employees showed significantly higher knowledge and sanitary management practice levels when they were required to use a sanitary checklist(p<0.001), and employees who were trained in HACCP had significantly higher sanitary checklist scores(p<0.05). In foodservices that applied HACCP, the employees showed higher knowledge and sanitary management practice levels(p<0.001).
