In the present paper we give a brief account of importance and necessity of pre and in-service education for professional development of mathematics teachers. We discuss some critical issues and new strategies for enhancing professional development. A few new strategies for professional learning are also explained. In the end some observations and suggestions arc mentioned for implementation

The purpose of this paper is to suggest the development of the Guidelines on VTS English language competency test, according to IALA Guideline 1132 - VTS Voice Communications and Phraseology. As the foundation for improving VTSOs' communication capabilities throughout their career lifecycle in terms of training, accreditation, and revalidation, a development of a VTS-specific language testing system with explicit language testing evaluation criteria becomes more critical. With the aim of facilitating the discussion, a range of suggestions to be considered in the development of Guidelines on the VTS English competency test are made

The purpose of this study was to compare the expectations of mothers and teachers regarding development of three-year-old children and to analyze factors influencing the expectations. The results of this study showed that the mothers held higher expectations than the teachers regarding development of their children in all areas. Maternal expectations differed depending on the ages of the mothers and their children's birth order. Teaching experience with three-year-old children also made differences in the teacher's expectations. Implications to parent education and suggestions for future studies were provided.

Starting with analyzing the development of cyber-education in China, this article discusses experiences and lessons acquired through making reflections on the following aspects: technology vs. pedagogy, the degree education vs. non-degree education, resource exclusivism vs. resource inclusivism, mono-service system vs. multi-service system, and educational quality vs. economic profit. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on the future development of cyber-education in China.

This paper deals with the formation and development of hierarchical ranking stmcture among universities in Korea and the nature of university education. As the growing number of university graduates have trouble with finding job opportunity, the development of skills and competency which are required for the labor market is becoming the most important role for universities. Finally, I proposed several policy suggestions to overcome negative aspect of hierarchical ranking structure of university.

The purpose of this study is provide better suggestions to utilize the small aircraft by examining current situations of those airports. Then, the results of this study should help explain about the Availability of the airports for small aircraft in view of airplane exhibition, air-sports activity fields for aviation sports population, aviation theme park, and aviation-related education facility. This study examines current situations of the small airports for small aircraft which have been limited in their utility and compares the airports at the same level abroad. By examining these airports, this paper can make suggestions for the Availability of the small airports. Significance of the study lies in providing businessmen planning to invest the small airports and owners of airports with profitable consequences. At the macro level, it is expected to have a more effective development of land and an increase of aviation market value.

Purpose: There are several KPI(key performance indicators) models: BSC(balanced scorecard), IPOO(Input-process-output-outcomes) indicators, QCDP(quality-cost-delivery-productivity) indicators. This paper analyze these models and gives some suggestions to help the effective usage of KPI. Methods: This paper reviews and summarize the criteria to evaluate the PI(performance indicators) through literature review. Evaluation and analysis on the PI factors of the KPI developing models is performed by the criteria. Results: Criteria to evaluate the PI, which can be used to evaluate the goodness of PI is suggested. This paper also proposes some suggestions for the KPI models and their factors for the effective development of PI in the organization. Conclusion: This research will help the managers to develop and select useful PI and KPI for their business and processes.

최근 미국을 중심으로 MOOC(Massive Open Online Courses) 열풍이 불고 있으며 전세계적으로 확산되고 있다. MOOC는 온라인상에서 누구나 수강할 수 있게 공개된 강의를 의미한다. 우리나라에서도 KERIS(Korea Education & Research Information Service)와 각 대학을 중심으로 많은 강의를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 MOOC의 현황과 개선안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 MOOC의 정의와 역사, 국내외 현황을 소개한다. 또한 개선안으로서 대학의 적극적인 참여와 캠퍼스 가치 창출, MOOC 기관의 수익모델 개발과 수료율 향상, LMS(Learning Management System)의 개발과 우수 강사 확보, 강의 번역 등의 과제와 함께 최종적으로는 MOOC가 제공하는 인증 시스템의 질 확보 문제 등을 다양하게 제시하였다.

With old housing being renovated in both the Gatdui and Daean areas, of the Gyeongju downtown area, this study was carried out to examine the implications of various renewal approaches in a city that is rich in both history and culture. The study included a physical survey of the areas under construction as well as a questionnaire given to residents to analyse their level of satisfaction with and requirements for housing and their preferring housing types. The study also analysed renewal patterns among the residents were analysed by examining the ways in which particular renovations had been performed. The findings showed that both governmental authorities and private parties need to be involved and work together if such renewals are to be successful. In recent years there have been regular conflicts between those in favor of development and those in favor of preserving the historic and cultural resources of the city. At times the city identity has been neglected by residents. In the future, it will be necessary to take both development conditions and the residents' economic situations into consideration when making decisions about renewal and to consider a wide range of methods for rearranging housing patterns, with the goal of transforming housing renovation into a broader program of social rearrangement for the purpose of improving social patterns in the city.

한국철도공사는 비수익 노선과 해당 노선의 운행 열차에 대한 폐지를 통해 수익성을 개선하고 있다. 그 일환으로 통근열차 구간이 다수 폐지되었으며 현재는 경의선과 경원선의 통근열차 노선만이 운영 중에 있다. 그러나 지역 주민들의 열차운영 요청이 여전히 존재하는 바, 이에 기존의 단순한 통근열차로서의 기능에서 한단계 더 진행하여 KTX와의 연계를 꾀할 수 있는 Local선 운영 정책이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 전체적인 과거 통근열차의 운영정책과 성과와 기존 운영정책의 문제점을 고찰한 후 외국의 고속철도와 연계한 적자 로컬선의 운영정책을 분석하고 호남선 인근 도시로 지역을 축소하여 익산-전주간 연계셔틀에 도출된 발전방향을 적용하고자 한다.
