This study was to consider the development strategy of Jeju Marine leisure equipment industry for facilitating marine leisure tourism industry. For achieving this goal, the case studies related to domestic & foreign marine leisure equipment industry, interviews of marine leisure equipment company, the contents of specialist consultation meeting were used in this study. The strategies for promoting were suggested in progress that step 1 was the expansion of maintenance infrastructure as of a port of call, step 2 was the establishing of marie leisure tourism image, step 3 was the integration of marine leisure equipment industry. More specific suggestions were followed. As an aspect of infrastructure, the expansion of management of marine leisure equipment such as yacht, development of marina having similar image of Jeju were suggested. As an aspect of law/institution, the development of financial support system on the marine leisure equipment, promotion of establishment of professional education institutions were suggested. As an aspect of contents/programs, the hosting the exhibition of marine leisure used equipment of international trade, the development of environmental-friendly program associated with cruise were suggested, Finally, as an aspect of promotion/marketing, the promotions linked with drama & movie industry, the strategy of improvement of negative image to the yacht industry were suggested.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sexual development, sensation seeking traits, exposure to pornographic media, peer conformity, and potential delinquency on the part of Korean middle school students. In order to verify the model, we used structural equation model (SEM) analysis. 603 adolescents were participated in the study. The results were as follows; first, both male and female models goodness of fit and significant paths was proven. Second, it was also found that gender difference existed in the model. The implications of this study and the suggestions for future research were also discussed.

The Internet has made a huge impact on the way we, as humans, communicate. During the last decade a series of new communication mediums have emerged and communication protocols have come and gone. This puts new requirements on the development process and architecture of the communication platforms, operated by communities, in order to proactively ensure support for future communication protocols. Even further, additional requirements are added when the software itself will be maintained by a community. In this paper we explore the world of Open Source Software. We present our suggestions of usable design-principles and our process in developing a sustainable information system.

This study was to indicate the direction of the family life education program through understanding people's concerns in the family life education areas and their needs for the program conditions. The results of this study were, 1) Their priorities about educational subjects were human development and parent ing for the adolescent group and the adult group and the family relationships and parenting for the elderly group. 2) They wanted the program provided by Professional educators in social education institutes or a local autonomous entity. 3) They needed the program such as 1 week period, 1-2 hours per subject, places within 30min from home.

Water reuse plays significant role in water saving and water environmental protection, and it helps alleviate the shortage of water resources. China's water reuse was put into practice since 1980s by means of pilot and promotion in National Fifth-year Plan and other strategies. The effects of water reuse is beneficial in both economic, social and environmental aspects. But some shortcomings still undermine future development of water reuse in China. To overcome and boost water reuse, Ministry of Water Resources conducted a successive survey across China. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the current condition of water reuse in China in construction, funds, legislation, planning, policy aspects, to summarize problems and its reasons underneath, to make suggestions for further development. Basically, in 2010, China's water reuse is 2.83 billion cubic meters and the utilization rate is 10.35%. Water reuse in China has four major characteristics: the first one is water reuse differences in amount occur national-widely and North of China has the main percentage as 47.3%; the second one is water reuse is mainly in environment maintenance (42.1%) and industry cooling (29.8%); the third one is funds for water reuse station and pipe construction is main in non-fiscal budget which take percentage as 56.8%; the fourth one is progresses of administrative system, political system, price management, standard system and technologies go rapidly recently. The problems of water reuse such as lack in water reuse station, delay in pipe constriction and limits on water reuse amount still exist due to some reasons. As a think tank of Ministry of Water Resources, we give some suggestions: firstly, water reuse needs to be integrated with traditional water resources allocation; secondly, public budgets need to be strengthened and income mechanism should also be constructed; thirdly, water resources integrated administrative of city and county should be boosted and roles as water reuse need to be clear and precise; fourthly, national, provincial and regional water reuse planning should be made in time; fifthly, regulations on water reuse should be programmed as soon as possible.

The traffic policy of a city in Korea has brought to many traffic problems by putting emphasis on the only side of mobility in the past that the personal transportation was put first in importance more than the public transportation. As the result of this policy, in the process that the traffic policy of large cities in Korea changes into accessibility, it is shown for re-lighting up the development of the public transportation to be going to be able to get many suggestions in searching for the desirable developing direction of the new means of transportation that will arrive at Korea in the future. Especially, compared with the policy of U.S.A. on the traffic plan that has concentrated on the road and the vehicle, and that of Europe that has put first in the walking and the public transportation system, it is considered as an important thing that the lesson is given to us about what is important for the desirable city development. Transportation can be divided into four; a railroad transportation. a road transportation, a marine transportation, and an aerial transportation.

The goal of this study is to investigate the course development for the Korean students in the immersion English program. This study describes the detailed curriculum and makes some suggestions to improve the courses for regular, extracurricular, and special activities in the five-week immersion English program managed by KAIST in summer 2001. This immersion English program was designed to develop the students' communicative competence in speaking English with native speakers in the age of globalization, by providing students with the English-speaking immersion setting. The results of the students' tests and the data concerning the program revealed that the program was very significant in improving students' communicative competence focused on communication and presentation and in attaining the high motivation for the natural English communication by performing the student-centered and task-based extracurricular activities and special events.

The object of this thesis is to evaluate performance of Industry Complex of Rural Areas Policy and to suggest solutions to solve problems of the policy and development plans for Industry Complex of Rural Areas in Korea. The Industry Complex of Rural Areas Policy has contributed to increase of income and growth of industries in farming areas. Since business environment has been changing rapidly and competition has been getting fierce, Korean small business in rural are as need to develop new strategies to strengthen their competitiveness. Therefore, this thesis will suggest public programs to support for development of Korean small businesses in rural areas. The suggestions are as below 1) plans to form funds to provide financial aid to small business in rural areas. Specific plans to raise funds for public programs that would be executed by National Industry Complex of Rural Areas Association are included. 2) plans to improve abilities of SBCs to develop technologies 3) plans to establish marketing channels for SBCs in rural areas. 4) plans to create systems to promote restructuring in Industry Complex of Rural Area.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a vital instrument for delivering a number of services such as education, healthcare and public services. Community wireless networks are community-centric telecommunication infrastructure developed to provide affordable communication for those who live in remote areas. This chapter discusses the role of Nepal Wireless in achieving socio economic development of rural communities by facilitating affordable Internet access. We analyze the challenges Nepal Wireless faced and articulate on the approaches it took to address those challenges such as lack of technical skills, appropriate technology and funding, difficult geographical terrains, unstable political situation, and expensive devices. In addition, we address the success and failure factors of this community-based ICT4D approach in order to guide similar endeavors. We conclude the chapter by some suggestions for policy makers, community developers, and academicians.

Purpose - This study examined the influence relationships between the impacts of tourism development, local attachment, and resident involvement and local residents' support and pro-environmental behavior intentions in Jeju Island. Design/methodology/approach - A questionnaire was distributed to the Jeju Island residents and 373 samples were used for the analysis. Findings - The results showed that the perceived positive impact of tourism development has a positive effect on local residents' support, while the negative impact has a negative effect. Local attachment has no significant effect on local residents' support, while local involvement positively affects local residents' support. The positive impact of tourism development has a negative effect on pro-environmental behavior intention, while the perceived negative impact has a positive effect. Finally, when analyzing the relationship between local attachment, local involvement, and local support for eco-friendly behavior intention, it was found that they all have a positive effect. Research implications or Originality - Theoretical and managerial implications and suggestions for future research are discussed.
