This paper describes the results of a study on the unmanned cleaning robot that performs the cleaning of the floating photovoltaic panels. The robot uses two SSC (Sliding Suction Cup) adsorptive devices to move up and down the slope. First, the forces generated when the robot moves up the slope are mechanically analyzed. The robot was designed and manufactured to operate stably by using the presented results. Next, the robot motion was tested on the inclined panel. It has been proven that robots are well designed and built to clean sloped panels.

Objectives : The mechanical properties of Korean electric cupping systems are studied via experimental measurements. The study aimed at establishing the fundamentals of industrialization and systemization of oriental medicine device industry, as well as improving the quality of life for many Koreans. Methods : We reviewed the studies on traditional cupping as well as modern one to fine necessary factors for electric cupping systems. To characterize the mechanical properties of Korean electric cupping systems, we measured the pressure characteristics of commercially available electric cupping system by using an automatic pressure acquisition system and a standard cup. The pumping capability was checked at 40 seconds, and the stability of the suction cup was checked at 600 seconds. We also acquired the noise level of each system in clinical setting. To check the portability of each system, we also measured its physical dimensions. We scrutinized system manuals provided by the system manufacturers. Results : It took less than 5 second to reach the pressure if the connection between the air hose and the vacuum valve of the cupping system was secure. Pressure diminished to no more than 10% for 600s for all systems. Noise levels were 55~70 dB. Increase in pressure was too fast to control for a designated vacuum level except for one product. Conclusions : The Pumping ability of the systems is impressive and reliable. Pressure retention ability of each cup is quite reliable and reproducible. Therefore, their mechanical performances were worthy of recommendation. Some of them had noise level higher than 60 dB and they were bothersome. It was also suggested that the control for low to middle pressure needed to be accomplished by the cupping system.

The studies look at the causes, pathology, symptom, diagnosis, treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in the sight of east-western medicine. Following are the results : 1. Rheumatoid arthritis korean-medically belongs to symptom such as Bi(痺), Poung Bi(風痺), Tong Poung(痛風), Youk Jeol Poung(歷節風), Bak Hoe Poung(白虎風), Bak Hoe Youk Jeol Poung(白虎歷節風), etc. 2. The causes of Rheumatoid arthritis are endopathic and exopathic : endopathically it tis related to Chil Jeong(七情) and visceral imbalance, and exopathically it is related to Euk Eum (六淫) and environmental factors. 3. To figure out rheumatoid arthritis, we need to diagnose first the joint symptom and the general body condition, we need about 6 weeks to get the exact decision after the serologic test, the immune and inheritance test, the synovium test. 4. There are four kinds of treatments for rheumatoid arthritis : medicin, acupucture and moxibustion, suction cup and purging away the blood, physical therapy. Cheong Eol So Bi(淸熱消痺) can be used for the acute stage and Jang Bu Seong Shai(臟腑盛衰) is to be considered for the chronic stage. 5. Rheumatoid arthritis should be constantly treated to prevent the patient from the deformity of joint complication.

Objectives : Skin color deformation by cupping has been widely used as a diagnostic parameter in Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM). Skin color deformation such as ecchymoses and purpura is induced by local vacuum in a suction cup. Since existing studies have relied on a visual diagnostic method, there is a need to use the quantitative measurement method. Methods : We conducted an analysis of cross-polarization photographic images to assess the changes in skin color deformation. The skin color variation was analyzed using $L^*a^*b^*$ space and the skin erythema index(E.I.). The meridian theory in TKM indicates that the condition of primary internal organs is closely related to the skin color deformation at special acupoints. Before conducting these studies, it is necessary to evaluate whether or not skin color deformation is influenced by muscle condition. Hence, we applied cupping at BL13, BL15, BL18, BL20 and BL23 at Bladder Meridian(BL) and measured blood lactate at every acupoint. Results : We confirmed the high system measurement accuracy, and observed the diverse skin color deformations. Moreover, we confirmed that the $L^*$, $a^*$ and E.I. had not changed after 40 minutes(p>0.05). The distribution of blood lactate levels at each part was observed differently. Blood lactate level and skin color deformation at each part was independent of each other. Conclusions : The negative pressure produced by the suction cup induces a reduction in the volumetric fraction of melanosomes and subsequent reduction in epidermal thickness. The relationship between variations of tissue and skin properties and skin color deformation degree must be investigated prior to considering the relationship between internal organ dysfunction and skin color deformation.

The purpose of this study was to grasp the recognition of medical consumer over the infection in dental clinic. The study performed the questionnaire by selecting the patients visiting 3 dental clinics of Daegu area as targets and analyzed 213 question papers collected. The result revealed that the infection control, which was most important for the patients, was 'instrument disinfection' (64.3%) and it was significant in age factor(P<0.01). For the responsibility of infection control, 72.3% replied that 'dentist or dental clinic staff' should be responsible for it and it was significant in academic background factor(P<0.001). For the importance of cleaning and sanitation, 70.0% replied that 'it is very important' and it was gender(P<0.05)and the age factor.((P<0.01) The person who experienced the information about the infection control of dental clinic observed hand washing(P<0.001), replacement of suction tip(P<0.001) and replacement of teeth washing cup (P<0.01) more carefully and considered whether dentist wears protective goggle more importantly than the person who did not experience it(P<0.01). If dental clinic recognizes the evaluation of infection control notified by the Ministry of Health & Welfare and performs the infection control suitable for the eye level of general medical consumer on the basis of the study result above, it can improve the reliance of hospital as well as patient's satisfaction.
