Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal gives a clear indication whether the heart is at a healthy status or not as the early notification of a cardiac problem in the heart could save the patient's life. Several methods were launched to clarify how to diagnose the abnormality over the ECG signal waves. However, some of them face the problem of lack of accuracy at diagnosis phase of their work. In this research, we present an accurate and successive method for the diagnosis of abnormality through Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), QRS complex detection and Support Vector Machines (SVM) classification with overall accuracy rate 95.26%. DWT Refers to sampling any kind of discrete wavelet transform, while SVM is known as a model with related learning algorithm, which is based on supervised learning that perform regression analysis and classification over the data sample. We have tested the ECG signals for 10 patients from different file formats collected from PhysioNet database to observe accuracy level for each patient who needs ECG data to be processed. The results will be presented, in terms of accuracy that ranged from 92.1% to 97.6% and diagnosis status that is classified as either normal or abnormal factors.

This paper describes a low power asynchronous successive approximation register (SAR) type 12b analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for biomedical applications in a 0.35 ${\mu}m$ CMOS technology. The digital-to-analog converter (DAC) uses a capacitive split-arrays consisting of 6-b main array, an attenuation capacitor C and a 5-b sub array for low power consumption and small die area. Moreover, splitting the MSB capacitor into sub-capacitors and an asynchronous SAR reduce power consumption. The measurement results show that the proposed ADC achieved the SNDR of 68.32 dB, the SFDR of 79 dB, and the ENOB (effective number of bits) of 11.05 bits. The measured INL and DNL were 1.9LSB and 1.5LSB, respectively. The power consumption including all the digital circuits is 6.7 ${\mu}W$ at the sampling frequency of 100 KHz under 3.3 V supply voltage and the FoM (figure of merit) is 49 fJ/conversion-step.
Oscillations in a sunspot are easily detected through the Doppler velocity observation. Although the sunspot oscillations look erratic, the wavelet analysis show that they consist of successive wave packets which have strong power near three or five minutes. Previous studies found that 3-min oscillation at the chromosphere is a visual pattern of upward propagating acoustic waves along the magnetic field lines. Resent multi-height observations help this like vertical study, however, we also focus on horizontal facet to extend three dimensional understand of sunspot waves. So, we investigate a fragmented sunspot expected to have complex wave profiles according to the positions in the sunspot observed by the Fast Imaging Solar Spectrograph. We choose 4 points at different umbral cores as sampling positions to determine coherence of oscillations. The sets of cross-correlation with three and five minutes bandpass filters during a single wave packet reveal interesting results. Na I line show weak correlations with some lags, but Fe I and Ni I have strong correlations with no phase difference over the sunspots. It is more remarkable at Ni I line with 3-min bandpass that all sets of cross-correlation look like the autocorrelation. We can interpret this as sunspot oscillations occur spontaneously over a sunspot at photosphere but not at chromosphere. It implies a larger or deeper origin of 3-min sunspot oscillation.
Diverse designs of collimator have been applied to Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) according to the purpose of acquisition; thus, it is necessary to reflect geometric characteristic of each collimator for successive image reconstruction. This study carry out reconstruction algorithm for imaging system in nuclear medicine with pinhole collimator. Especially, we study to solve sampling problem which caused in the system model of pinhole collimator. System model for a maximum likelihood expectation maximization (MLEM) was developed based on the geometry of the collimator. The projector and back-projector were separately implemented based on the ray-driven and voxel-driven methods, respectively, to overcome sparse sampling problem. We perform phantom study for pinhole collimator by using geant4 application for tomographic emission(GATE) simulation tool. The reconstructed images show promising results. Designed iterative reconstruction algorithm with unmatched system model effective to remove sampling problem artefact. Proposed algorithm can be used not only for pinhole collimator but also for various collimator system of imaging system in nuclear medicine.

This paper proposes a low-power 8-bit asynchronous SAR ADC with a sampling rate of 1 MS/s for sensor node applications. The ADC uses bootstrapped switches to improve linearity and applies a VCM-based CDAC switching technique to reduce the power consumption and area of the DAC. Conventional synchronous SAR ADCs that operate in synchronization with an external clock suffer from high power consumption due to the use of a clock faster than the sampling rate, which can be overcome by using an asynchronous SAR ADC structure that handles internal comparisons in an asynchronous manner. In addition, the SAR logic is designed using dynamic logic circuits to reduce the large digital power consumption that occurs in low resolution ADC designs. The proposed ADC was simulated in a 180-nm CMOS process, and at a 1.8 V supply voltage and a sampling rate of 1 MS/s, it consumed 46.06 𝜇W of power, achieved an SNDR of 49.76 dB and an ENOB of 7.9738 bits, and obtained a FoM of 183.2 fJ/conv-step. The simulated DNL and INL are +0.186/-0.157 LSB and +0.111/-0.169 LSB.
Sampling of waters from each stage of treatment system (Successive Alkalinity Producing System; SAPS), tailings seepage, and spring near the Hanchang coal mine of Kangwon Province were carried out seasonally and analyzed to evaluate the source and possible path of groundwater contamination by acid mine drainage (AM). Sulfur isotope compositions were measured to identify the origin of groundwater contaminations and the sulfate reduction processes in the SAPS. Low pH and high metal concentration of spring water indicates possibility of the groundwater contamination by AMD. Removal efficiency of acidity of the SAPS was 18.17 g/$\textrm{m}^2$/day on an average and the metal removal efficiency was almost 100%, which was higher than those of other treatment systems. However, no appreciable decrease of sulfur content and almost similar sulfur isotope compositions of water from each stage of the treatment system may suggest incomplete or very poor sulfate reduction by sulfate reducing bacteria. Chemical and sulfur isotope compositions showed that spring water was contaminated by seepage from mine tailings. And seepage of stonewall, a part of treatment system was affected by both tailings seepage and mine adit drainage. In this study site, the treatment system was constructed for the only AMD from mine adit not for tailings seepages, which resulted in the groundwater contamination from tailing seepages. Similar situation is expected in other abandoned coal mine areas.
In this paper, CMOS SAR (Successive Approximation Register) A/D converter with 1.8V supply voltage is designed for IoT sensor processing. This paper proposes design of a 12-bit SAR A/D converter with two A / D converters in parallel to improve the sampling rate. A/D converter1 of the two A/D converters determines all the 12-bit bits, and another A/D converter2 uses the upper six bits of the other A/D converters to minimize power consumption and switching energy. Since the second A/D converter2 does not determine the upper 6 bits, the control circuits and SAR Logic are not needed and the area is minimized. In addition, the switching energy increases as the large capacitor capacity and the large voltage change in the C-DAC, and the second A/D converter does not determine the upper 6 bits, thereby reducing the switching energy. It is also possible to reduce the process variation in the C-DAC by proposed structure by the split capacitor capacity in the C-DAC equals the unit capacitor capacity. The proposed SAR A/D converter was designed using 0.18um CMOS process, and the supply voltage of 1.8V, the conversion speed of 10MS/s, and the Effective Number of Bit (ENOB) of 10.2 bits were measured. The area of core block is $600{\times}900um^2$, the total power consumption is $79.58{\mu}W$, and the FOM (Figure of Merit) is 6.716fJ / step.
We propose a methods which is reducing direction estimation error of sound source in the reverberant and noisy environments. The proposed algorithm divides speech signal into voice and unvoice using VAD. We estimate the direction of source when current frame is voiced. TDOA (Time-Difference of Arrival) between microphone array using the GCC-PHAT (Generalized Cross Correlation with Phase Transform) method will be estimated in that frame. Then, we compare the peak value of cross-correlation of two signals applied to estimated time-delay with other time-delay in time-table in order to improve the accuracy of source location. If the angle of current frame is far different from before and after frame in successive voiced frame, the angle of current frame is replaced with mean value of the estimated angle in before and after frames.

For The Purpose of Pursuing the Simplest Sampling, a Motion Compensated Block Compressed Sensing with Smoothed Projected Landweber (MC-BCS-SPL) has been Studied for an Effective Scheme of Distributed Compressive Video Sensing with all Compressed Sensing (CS) Frames. However, Conventional MC-BCS-SPL Scheme is Very Simple and so it Does not Provide Good Visual Qualities in Reconstructed Wyner-Ziv (WZ) Frames. In this Paper, the Conventional Scheme of MC-BCS-SPL is Modified to Provide Better Visual Qualities in WZ Frames. That is, the Proposed Agorithm is Designed in such a way that the Reference Frame may be Adaptively Selected Based on the Temporal Correlation Between Successive Frames. Several Experimental Results show that the Proposed Algorithm Provides Better Visual Qualities than Conventional Algorithm.
A pollen analytical study of sediment sequences collected from Yongneup moor (sampling point: $38^{\circ}$12'57.4" N, $120^{\circ}$7'30.2" E) was conducted to understand the vegetation history in the mountainous region of the central Korean peninsula. Carbon dating was carried out to measure five successive samples obtained from the bottom at a depth of 180 cm to the surface. The Yongneup moor sediment revealed four main local pollen zones; that is, four past vegetation phases as follows: Local pollen zone I: Quercus-Pinus zone; estimated age, 5,900-4,800 calibrated years (cal) before present (BP); vegetation type, cool-temperate central/montane deciduous broad-leaved forest. Local pollen zone II: Pinus-Abies-Quercus zone; estimated age, 4,800-3,400 cal BP; vegetation type, cool-temperate northern/alti-montane mixed coniferous and deciduous broad-leaved forest. Local pollen zone III: Quercus-Pinus-Abies zone; estimated age, 3,400-400 cal BP; vegetation type: cool-temperate central/montane deciduous broad-leaved forest. Local pollen zone IV: Pinus-Quercus zone; estimated age, 400-present cal BP; vegetation type, cool-temperate central/montane mixed deciduous broad-leaved and coniferous forest. It was confirmed that subalpine coniferous forests had expanded to the mountainous region of the central Korean peninsula during the period from 4,800-3,400 cal BP and thereafter deciduous forests dominated by Q. mongolica were established. Notably, secondary forests dominated by P. densiflora developed in the lower part of the mountainous region of the central Korean peninsula about 400 cal BP due to human interference.
