Meat emulsions containing 0, 15, 30 and 45% of soy protein isolate(SPI), Na-caseinate(Na-CN) and their mixtures were prepared in order to determine the effect of these non-meat proteins on the physical properties and their sensory quality in emulsion type sausage. It was found that SPI was better fat stabilizer and better binder than Na-CN. The mixtures of SPI and Na-CN didn't exert any significant effect on emulsion stability. From the texture profile analysis by using Instron two-cycle compression tests, decrease in the substitution levels and increase in the ratio of SPI/Na-CN resulted in a significant increase in the textural values of hardness, adhesiveness, gumminess, chewiness. The finished products showed that the substituted product for 15 % meat protein had higher textural values than the unsubstituted product. The sensory quality evaluated for the final products showed no significant difference between the SPI substituted product for 15 % meat protein and the unsubstituted product. However, all of the substituted products for 15 % meat protein and some of those for 30 % substitution with SPI and 67 % SPI received higher scores than average.
A coercivity of barium ferrite (BaM) tape was found to be higher than the coercivity of BaM powder, This difference is in the range of 50 Oe to 600 Oe, which depends on substituted cations. physical properties of powder, and preparation conditions of the tape. The coercivity difference is attributed to both particle stacking and adsorption of organic solvent on particle surface. Regardless of substituted cations, the coercivity of longitudinally oriented BaFe tape was higher than that of BaM powder by a range of 100 Oe to 120 Oe, which is caused by particle stacking' During the active adsorption process on preparation of magnetic paint, where MEK (methyl ethyl ketone), TOL (toluene) and CHO (cyclohexanone) were used, chemisorption of solvents on the surface of substituted BaFe particle occurred to form polymeric compounds surrounding the particle. An increase in coercivity, caused by the solvent adsorption, was significant for Co-substutited BaM tape. Among these solvents CHO was the most effective one in increasing the coercivity of the Co-Ti substituted BaM tape.

A kinetic study on aminolysis of 2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl X-substituted-benzoates (2a-k) in 80 mol % $H_2O/_20mol%$ DMSO at $25.0^{\circ}C$ is reported. The Br${\emptyset}$nsted-type plot for the reactions of 2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl benzoate (2g) with a series of cyclic secondary amines curves downward (e.g., ${\beta}_1=0.25$, ${\beta}_2=0.85$ and $pK_a^o=10.3$), which is typical of reactions reported to proceed through a stepwise mechanism with a change in ratedetermining step (RDS). The Hammett plot for the reactions of 2a-k with piperidine consists of two intersecting straight lines, while the corresponding Yukawa-Tsuno plot exhibits an excellent linear correlation with ${\rho}_X=1.15$ and r = 0.59. Thus, it has been concluded that the nonlinear Hammett plot is not due to a change in RDS but is caused by stabilization of substrates through resonance interactions between the electron-donating substituent and the C=O bond. Substrates possessing a substituent at the 2-position of the leaving aryloxide deviate negatively from the curved Br${\emptyset}$nsted-type plot for the reactions of Y-substituted-phenyl benzoates (3a-i), implying that the steric hindrance exerted by the substituent at the 2-position is an important factor which governs the reactivity of Y-substituted-phenyl benzoates.
Second-order rate constants ($k_{Ox^-}$) have been measured spectrophotometrically for nucleophilic substitution reactions of 4-nitrophenyl X-substituted-cinnamates (7a-7e) and Y-substituted-phenyl cinnamates (8a-8e) with butane-2,3-dione monoximate ($Ox^-$) in 80 mol % $H_2O$/20 mol % DMSO at $25.0{\pm}0.1^{\circ}C$. The Hammett plot for the reactions of 7a-7e consists of two intersecting straight lines while the Yukawa-Tsuno plot exhibits an excellent linearity with ${\rho}_X$=0.85 and r=0.58, indicating that the nonlinear Hammett plot is not due to a change in the rate-determining step but is caused by resonance stabilization of the ground state (GS) of the substrate possessing an electron-donating group (EDG). The Br${\o}$nsted-type plot for the reactions of Y-substituted-phenyl cinnamates (8a-8e) is linear with ${\beta}_{lg}$ = -0.64, which is typical of reactions reported previously to proceed through a concerted mechanism. The ${\alpha}$-nucleophile ($Ox^-$) is more reactive than the reference normal-nucleophile ($4-ClPhO^-$). The magnitude of the ${\alpha}$-effect (i.e., the $k_{Ox^-}/k_{4-ClPhO^-}$ ratio) is independent of the electronic nature of the substituent X in the nonleaving group but increases linearly as the substituent Y in the leaving group becomes a weaker electron-withdrawing group (EWG). It has been concluded that the difference in solvation energy between $Ox^-$ and $4-ClPhO^-$ (i.e., GS effect) is not solely responsible for the ${\alpha}$-effect but stabilization of transition state (TS) through a cyclic TS structure contributes also to the Y-dependent ${\alpha}$-effect trend (i.e., TS effect).
Second-order rate constants (k$_{Nu–}$) have been measured for nucleophilic substitution reactions of Y-substituted phenyl benzoates (1a-i) with butane-2,3-dione monoximate ($Ox^-\;an\;\alpha$-nucleophile) and Z-substituted phenoxides in 80 mol% H$_2$O/20 mol% DMSO at 25.0${\pm}$0.1$^{\circ}C$. Hammett plots correlated with ${\sigma}^o$ and ${\sigma}^-$ constants for reactions of 1a-h with Ox$^–$ exhibit many scattered points. In contrast, the Yukawa-Tsuno plot results in a good linear correlation with ${\rho}_Y$ = 2.20 and r = 0.45, indicating that expulsion of the leaving group occurs in the rate-determining step (RDS). A stepwise mechanism with expulsion of the leaving-group being the RDS has been excluded, since Y-substituted phenoxides are less basic and better nucleofuges than Ox$^–$. Thus, the reactions have been concluded to proceed through a concerted mechanism. Ox$^–$ is over 10$^2$ times more reactive than its reference nucleophile, 4-chlorophenoxide (4-ClPhO$^–$). One might suggest that stabilization of the transition-state (TS) through intramolecular general acid/base catalysis is responsible for the ${\alpha}$-effect since such general acid/base catalysis is not possible for the corresponding reactions with 4-ClPhO$^–$. However, destabilization of the ground-state (GS) of Ox$^–$ has been concluded to be mainly responsible for the ${\alpha}$-effect found in this study on the basis of the fact that the magnitude of the ${\alpha}$-effect is independent of the nature of the substituent Y.
$LaMnO_3$ and A site substituted $La_{0.9}Sr_{0.1}MnO_3$(a=$5.33\AA$, c=$13.27\AA$), B site substituted $LaMn_{0.9}Cu_{0.1}O_3$(a=$5.52\AA$, c=$13.31\AA$) mixed oxides were prepared by Citrate sol-gel method. The powder X-ray diffraction patterns of these oxides were indexed with single phase hexagonal perovskite structures. According to the TRR result, oxygen stoichiometry of these oxides were oxidative nonstoichiometry as like $LaMnO_{3.16}$, $La_{0.9}Sr_{0.1}MnO_{3.10}$ and $LaMn_{0.9}Cu_{0.1}O_{3.14}$ Reduction reactions of un-substituted $LaMnO_3$ was two steps, but specific site(A site of B site) partially substituted $LaMnO_3$ oxides were procees to three reactions.
The rates and activation parameters for the halide exchange reactions of substituted benzenesulfonylbromides (R-C$_{6}$H$_4$SO$_2$Br, R=p-MeO, p-$CH_3$, p-H, p-NO$_2$) in dry acetone at two temperatures were determined. It was found that the nucleophilicity order of Cl->I-$\geq$Br- for strong electron withdrawing-, and mild electron donating group, and of I-$\geq$Cl->Br- for strong electron donating group, Hammett plots showed slightly convoked characteristics which is similar to the plots of substituted benzenesulfonylchlorides, but contrary to the concaved nature for the halide exchange reactions of substituted benzyl chlorides. The rate of halogen exchange between benzenesulfonylbromide and lithium bromide decreased in the order of solvent : ($CH_3$)$_2$CO>$CH_3$CN》MeOH. The rates and activation parameters were also compared with those already known in the substituted benzenesulfonylchlorides. Theses were explained in terms of the structural properties of the transition state, and discussed the reaction mechanisms.s.
Pysicochemical and sensory characteristics of health concerned funtional cookies using various levels of crude ingredients of resistant starch were investigated in this study. The 10% substituted group had significantly higher pH values compared to those of control. Spread factor of control group had significantly the largest value and the 30% substituted group had the lowest values(p<0.05). Results of sensory characteristics showed significantly higher hardness, crispness and yellowness with 20% substituted sample group at p<0.05. Acceptance test of cookies with 10% substituted sample groups showed higher savory taste, texture, and overall acceptability and they did not show significant differences with the 20% substituted groups.
In an attempt to examine the ability of benzisothiazole-based drugs to interact with $\beta$-adrenoceptors, a series of 1,2-benzisothiazole derivatives, which were substituted with various propanolamine or oxypropanolamine side chains in the 2 or 3 position, were synthesised and tested. The pharmacological activity of these compounds at the ,$\beta$-adrenoceptors was examined using isolated rat atria and small intestinal segments, which preferentially express the $\beta_{1}$- and $\beta_{3}$-adrenoceptor-mediated responses, respectively. None of these products showed any $\beta$-adrenoceptor agonistic activity. In contrast, the 2- and 3-substituted isopropyl, tert-butyl, benzyl, and piperonyl derivatives 2a-d and 3a-d elicited surmountable inhibition of the isoprenaline-induced chronotropic effects in the atria, suggesting competitive antagonism at the $\beta_{1}$recognition site. The $pA_{2}$ values revealed tert-butyl 3b and the isopropyl substituted piperonyl derivatives 3a to be the most effective. Remarkably, many of the 2-substituted propanolamines were less active than the corresponding 3-substituted oxypropanolamines. With the exception of compound 3b, none of these drugs antagonised the muscle relaxant activity of isoprenaline in the intestine, suggesting no effect on the $\beta_{3}$-adrenoceptors. These results confirm the ability of the benzisothiazole ring to interact with the $\beta$-adrenoceptors, and demonstrate that 2-substitution with propanolamine or 3-substitution with oxypropanolamine groups yields compounds with preferential antagonistic activity at the cardiac $\beta_{1}$adrenoceptors. The degree of antagonism depends strongly on both the nature of the substituent and its position on the benzisothiazole ring.
Quinazolinones, 2-substituted and 3-substituted, mainly synthesized by microwave irradiation, were subjected to anti-platelet aggregation and inhibition of superoxide anion generation assays. Interestingly, 2-phenyl-4-quinazolinone (4) exhibited significant inhibitory activities toward platelet aggregation and neutrophil activation, and it might therefore serve as a prototype lead compound.
