  • A design of a subscale solid propellant rocket motor was conducted to do the similitude experiments for the large scale rocket motor. One of the main factor to subscale was the mach number of the solid propellant flume through a nozzle exit The analysis of the flume flow was done to obtain the mach number for the large and subscale rocket motor. The flume shapes on the non dimensional axises by the nozzle exit diameter was matched each other. The propellant grain of a subscale solid rocket motor was designed by the profile of pressure vs time obtained by the mach number of the flume shape. Some analyses of the theoretical solution were compared with the results of the ground static test.

  • The main purpose of this study was to develop and validate a scale for measuring situation\ulcornerspecific anxiety that consumers experience while shopping for ready\ulcornerto-wear clothes. A 92 five-point items, Likert type scale, entitled the RMCCAS(The Ready\ulcornerMade Clothes Consumer Anxiety Scale) was developed and administered to 354 female college students. Data collected were subjected to a series of statistical analysis: item analysis, factor analysis, estimation of validity and reliability and descriptive statistics. A second-order factor analysis conducted to 15 factors obtained from a first-order factor analysis yieled three factors; Fitness of Fashion and Design to indiviuality and time(scale 1), Reliance on Price and Quality including Suitableness of Material and Color(scale 2), and Practicality in Dressing and Maintaining(scale 3). Obtained concurrent validity of the RMCCAS subscales with the trait anxiety were .056(subscale I), .082(subscale 2), .033(subscale 3), and .050(total scale). that with state anxiety were .421(subscale I), .217(subscale 2), .198 (subscale 3), and .407(total scale); that with the CP AS were. 721(subscale 1), .789(subscale 2), .570(subscale 3), and .841(total scale). All of the obtained coefficients of Cronbach alpha, split\ulcornerhalf reliability, and test-retested reliability over an interval of. 8 weeks were above .80. Besides, descriptive data from the RMCCAS satisfactorily supported conditions required for the normal distribution of obtained scores. In conclusion, a close exa:nination of validity, reliability, and descriptive statistics of the RMCCAS indicates that three subscales including the scale have a resonable scaling-prop\ulcornererties. Further research is suggested for obtaining norms for more representative target samples and for tapping the possibility of using subsea Ie 2 as a unidimensional measure .

  • This paper describes the results of cold flow test and hot firing tests of an uni-element coaxial swirl injector and hot firing tests of a subscale combustor, as to the development effort of coaxial swirl injector for high performance liquid rocket engine combustor. A major design parameter for coaxial swirl injector is the recess number of a bi-swirl injector. The results of hot firing tests of the uni-element injector combustor and the sub-scale combustor are analyzed to investigate the effect of the recess number influencing on the combustion performance and pressure fluctuation. The test results of a cold flow test of the unielement combustor shows that it was shown that the change in recess number has significant effect on mixing characteristics and efficiency, while the effect of recess number on atomization characteristic is not The results of a series of firing tests using unielement and subscale combustor show that the recess length significantly affects the hydraulic characteristics, the combustion efficiency, and the dynamics of the liquid oxygen/kerosene bi-swirl injector. As a point of combustion performance, combustion efficiencies are 90% for unielement combustor and 95% for subscale combustor. The difference in the characteristic velocities between the unielement combustor and the subscale combustor may be caused by the difference in thermal loss to the combustor wall and the relative lengths of the combustion chamber. For a mixed type coaxial swirl combustor, the pressure drop across the injector increases as recess number becomes larger. The low frequency pressure fluctuation observed in unielement combustor can be related to the propellant mixing characteristics of the coaxial bi-swirl injector. The effect of the recess number on the pressure fluctuation inside the combustion chamber is more significant in un i-element combustor than the subscale combustor, of which the phenomena are also observed in time domain and frequency domain.

  • In this paper, we present the results of the numerical analysis employing CONWEP, LS-DYNA FSI(Fluid Structure Interaction), AUTODYN FSI, LS-DYNA ALE(Arbitrary Lagrange Eulerian) and combination of CONWEP and LS-DYNA ALE for blast door fracture and wave propagation through the tunnel by the external explosion. We compared the numerical analysis results with the subscale test data and selected combination of CONWEP and LS-DYNA ALE method as adequate data generation method for the FRM(Fast Running Model) software development. It is expected to save much time and costs by using the numerical simulation data for the various test conditions.
