A objective quality assessment for the evaluation performance of a video transmission system as a basic step for construction of digital video transmission system between the spots and headquarter. Due to a limit of an analog video transmission system and the developments of various digital media and digital video standards, the need of introduce of a digital system are increased gradual1y, At this points. previously performance evaluations are performed and the quality assessment is the most important thing. We can be divided quality assessment method by the subjective quality assessment and objective quality assessment. The subjective quality assessment method has some problems which are required high cost and much time to evaluate the quality, And because existing objective quality assessment method such that PSNR are based on an analog form, the correlation with subjective data is very low. Therefore we design a new objective quality assessment method using Gabor wavelet transform reflecting HVS(Human Visual System), Designed objective quality assessment method is superior to other objective method such that PSNR or EPSNR In this paper, we proposed objective quality assessment using Gabor wavelet can be used for performance evaluation and verification of video transmission system.

Background: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of impartiality in providing public health services on subjective health happiness and the mediated effects of public health service quality. Based on this, this study intends to present policy implications to improve public health services. Methods: The research method is multiple linear regression analysis. The analysis of the mediating effects is performed by Baron & Kenny's test, Sobel-Goodman's test, and Bootstrap. Results: The impartiality of public health services and the quality of public health services are shown to have a statistically significant effect on subjective health happiness. Quality of public health service appears to be mediating the relationship between impartiality in providing public health care and subjective health happiness. Conclusion: To promote people's subjective health happiness, it is necessary to secure impartiality in providing public health services in the first place and improve the quality of public health services.

CRT디스플레이의 화질 평가에는 위도, 콘트라스트, addressability, 시청거리 등의 다양한 물리적 특성치가 사용된다. 그러나, 최종적인 CRT디스플레이 화질의 비교·평가는 물리적 특성치가 아닌 실제 사용자가 느끼는 화질 즉, 주관적 인지 화질에 의해 이루어진다. 본 논문에서는 4종류 CRT모니터의 SQRI(SQuare Root Integral) 값과 다수의 피험자에 의한 주관적 화질 평가 점수와의 상관성이 비교되었다. 그리고, 이러한 SQRI법의 주관적 화질 평가 척도로서의 타당성을 바탕으로 모니터의 다양한 물리적 특성치가 주관적 화질에 미치는 영향이 검토되었다.

인터넷을 통한 영상 서비스의 비중이 점점 높아지고 있다. 인터넷을 통한 스트리밍 형태로 제공되는 영상서비스는 전송 과정에서 품질이 저하될 수 있기 때문에 품질 평가 및 관리가 매우 중요하다. 현재 영상 서비스에 대한 품질 관리는 특정 파라미터들의 측정값에 기초한 객관적 방법이 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 영상 서비스의 품질은 사람이 체감하는 품질이기 때문에 본질적으로 주관적인 측정이 더 이상적이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 모바일 환경에서 주관적 방법이 가지는 한계점을 극복할 수 있는 영상 서비스 품질 관리 방안을 제안하고 이를 위한 시스템을 설계한다. 제안하는 방법은 향후 모바일 환경에서 영상 서비스를 보다 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

For the set up, management and repair of a mobile communication system, continuous estimation of speech quality is required. Speech quality measurement can be conducted by listener's judgement in a subjective test such as MOS (Mean Opinion Score) test. However, this method is laborious, expensive and time-consuming, it is advisable to predict subjective speech quality via objective measures. This paper presents a robust objective speech quality measure, PLP-CMS (Perceptual Linear Predictive-Cepstral Mean Subtraction), which can predict subjective speech quality in mobile communication systems. PLP-CMS has a high correlation with subjective quality owing to PLP (Perceptual Linear Predictive) analysis and shows a robust performance not being influenced by PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) channel effects due to CMS (Cepstral Mean Subtraction). To prove the performance of our proposed algorithm, we carried out subjective and objective quality estimation on speech samples which are variously distorted in a real mobile communication system. As a result, we demonstrated that PLP-CMS has a higher correlation with subjective quality than PSQM (Perceptual Speech Quality Measure) and PLP-CD (Perceptual Linear Predictive-Cepstral Distance).

Recently, we have many kinds of picture format and display, and resizing (scaling) of picture becomes important. In this processing, quality of picture depends on re-sizing method. For this, some methods to improve the PSNR have been proposed. However, subjective picture quality is more important. Especially, degradation caused by re-sizing, such as jaggy (aliasing) and ringing, should be reduced. To solve them, we have proposed the method using directional adaptive interpolation. To improve the performance of this method, we consider the shape analysis this time. In the proposed method, directional adaptive processing is applied for pure edge only. In the texture area and flat area, 8 tap re-sampling filter is used. As the results of processing, the reductions of jaggy and incorrect interpolated pixels are recognized. The subjective picture quality of proposed method is significantly better than 8-tap re-sampling which gives good PSNR.

동영상을 압축하는 방법에서 양자화 사용은 필수적이다. 양자화기는 동영상의 부호화율을 조정할 수 있고 화질을 제어할 수 있다. 특히, 동영상내 관심영역이 있는 경우에 관심영역에 좋은 화질을 제공해주면 주관적 화질이 개선될 수 있다. 이를 위하여 먼저 본 논문에서는 화면내 주관적 관심영역에 따라 동영상을 분류하는 방법을 제시한다. 또한, 동영상내 관심영역에 따라 화질을 차등적으로 제어하기 위한 양자화 계단 크기 할당방법을 제안한다. 관심영역에는 그렇지 않는 영역에 비하여 양자화 계단크기를 상대적으로 작게 할당함으로써 전체적으로 주관적 화질을 개선시킨다. 본 논문에 제시된 방법에 의해 양자화 계단의 크기를 차등적으로 적용함으로써 주관적 화질의 개선이 이루어졌으며 화면내에서 양자화 변수의 최대값과 최소값의 차이가 4$\sim$8이 주관적 화질개선에 가장 적절한 것으로 분석되었다.

본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 응용을 위한 동영상의 주관적 품질평가방법으로 널리 사용되는 DSCQS(Double Stimulus Continuous Quality Scale method) 및 ACR(Absolute Category Rating)방법을 비교분석하였다. 두 가지 방법을 비교 실험한 결과 MOS (Mean Opinion Score) 값의 경우 DSCQS와 ACR의 평가치가 매우 높은 상관도를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 DMOS (Difference Mean Opinion Score)값의 경우에는 DSCQS와 ACR 방법이 MOS 값의 경우보다 약간 낮은 정도의 상관도를 보였다. 이 같은 결과는 ACR 방식이 DSCQS에 필적하는 성능을 제공하며 많은 수의 영상을 평가 할 수 있는 효율적인 주관적 품질평가 방법임을 보여주고 있다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test the effects of aroma inhalation on subjective quality of sleep, state anxiety, and depression of mothers who underwent a Cesarean section delivery. Methods: This study was designed as a nonequivalent control group quasi-experimental study based upon data acquired through a pre-post test. The experimental group (n=33) was given general obstetric nursing care plus dry inhalation method using lavender essential oil, in which each mother put one drop on a tissue and breathe near it for 5 minutes before going to bed. Then they put 1~2 drops on their pillow for 6 nights. The control group (n=34) was only given general obstetric nursing care. Data were collected using a questionnaire for measures of subjective quality of sleep, state anxiety, and depression by self-report. ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, and ANCOVA with SPSS/Win12.0 were used to analyze the data. Results: There were significant differences in subjective quality of sleep (p<.001), state anxiety (p=.049) and depression (p=.029). Conclusion: The results suggest that aroma inhalation method can be an effective nursing intervention to improve quality of sleep and decrease anxiety and depression in postpartum mothers suffering from stress related to a Cesarean section delivery.

The quality of the automatic transmission shift for a wheel loader has been generally evaluated by driver's perception. However the subjective evaluation of the drivers is not always directly related to the shift quality. It is necessary to set up the method for an objective assessment of the shift quality. In this paper, a quantitative assessment method has been developed for the shift quality of the automatic transmission in a wheel loader. The indices for the evaluation were selected through the various tests like the acceleration and the turbine rpm as well as the subjective evaluation of the driver, and were validated by the correlation between subjective and objective assessments using a psychophysical power law. Based on this method, the shift quality of a wheel loader has been evaluated quantitatively under various shift conditions.
