This research aims to analyze and compare the objective and subjective evaluation criteria for home appliances. In addition, this research examined the correlation between those evaluation criteria. Furthermore, consumers are divided by the level of the differences between those criteria; consumer groups whose subjective evaluation level for the quality of home appliances is greater than objective evaluation level, consumer groups whose subjective evaluation level is almost the same, and consumer groups whose subjective evaluation level for the quality of home appliances is lower than objective evaluation level, and this study investigated the differences those three groups by the socio-demographic characteristics and consumers' behavior in the stage of purchase. Results of this research could be summarized as follows. First of all, there were statistically significant between the level of the objective and subjective evaluation in the quality of home appliances. Second, when consumers purchased the expensive home appliance, imported-brand home appliance, home appliances in department store, the level of subjective evaluation level for the quality of home appliances is higher than objective evaluation level. Third, the level of satisfaction for the price, quality, AS, overall satisfaction, and the level of willingness to repurchase were higher in consumer groups whose subjective evaluation level was higher than objective evaluation level.

Assessment of the safety of ship's transit in the narrow channel consist of the maneuvering safety determined by the chance of running aground, the maneuvering difficulty determined by ship's workload and master's subjective evaluation. To examine the relation between master's subjective evaluation and maneuvering safety, this utilizes a real-time and full-mission shiphandling simulator in the Korea Marine Training & Research Institutes(KMTRI). The vessel chosen was 60,000-ton, Panamax-type ship. The findings regarding master's subjective evaluation were as follows: -Relation between master's subjective evaluation and common logarithms of stranding probability is linear. -Stranding probability with more than 0.001 is master's subjective evaluation with more than 5.

Workload assessment is one of the important elements of the human factors evaluation for the nuclear power plants in operation. This paper describes a further study upon the additional elements of the workload which elements should be considered in the subjective workload assessment. We have tried to predict the burden of the work and to improve the work through a comparison of the objective workload and the subjective workload in the previous studies in nuclear power plants. However, there is a restriction to perform a precise assessment because of the limitations of the method itself. The objective workload assessment is performed by relative comparison using the quadrant analysis with objective workload and subjective workload because there were no clear criteria of objective workload assessment. And the subjective workload assessment is performed by NASA-TLX (NASA Task Load Index) which includes six evaluation dimensions of subjective workload. NASA-TLX is difficult to grasp the other aspects that could influence on the subjective workload because the analysis relies on predetermined assessment items. We conduct a factor analysis between the factors that affect the workload and the assessment adopted from ISO 10075 and NASA-TLX. At the same time, this study suggests other evaluation elements which can be added for subjective workload assessment except for evaluation elements of NASA-TLX.

This study was to identify dimensions of subjective knowledge and to test the structural model of the effect of subjective knowledge on information search and evaluation rules for apparel products. A questionnaire was administered to 668 females living in Seoul, Taejon, and Cheongju, and the data were analysed by using LISREL 8. The results of this study were as follows: First, consumers' subjective knowledge regarding apparel products consisted of five factors; Style knowledge, Fashion Knowledge, Store Knowledge, Fabric/Management Knowledge, and Brand knowledge. Those factors were influenced by the experience related with apparel products. Second, the subjective knowledge influenced information searches. That is, internal search was significantly influenced by fashion knowledge and store knowledge, while external search was significantly influenced by fashion knowledge and fabric/management knowledge. Third, the subjective knowledge had indirect effects on evaluation rules via search activities (e.g., internal and external), suggesting that the internal search was mediated in relationship between subjective knowledge and compensatory rule, while the urtemal search was mediated in the relationship between subjective knowledge and noncompensatory rule. Therefore, this study implies that subjective knowledge plays an important role to explain consumers' decision making processes such as information search and evaluation.

Conventionally the subjective assessment for measuring the human sensibility is always performed after an experiment or a stimulus is terminated. This aftermath method can not. exactly, reflect the human sensibility which is produced at the moment of the presentation of the stimulus. In the present study, a new real-time subjective assessment system is developed. The system is composed of two parts: the sensibility input part and the sensibility evaluation part. The sensibility input part gets the values, which are recorded on the input board using pen-mouse, from the evaluation of each subject on his/her own subjective sensibility for the stimulus. The sensibility evaluation part displays the level of the pleasantness and arousal on one and two dimension in real time. An experiment on the design of the input board that any subject can easily and exactly evaluates one's own sensibility is also included in this study. The system can be used for evaluating the human subjective sensibility in real time, and, also, can be applied to other subjective assessment tests that require real time evaluation.

The purpose of this study is to explore the accuracy and reliability of subjective evaluation instruments in evaluating sensibility of similar fabrics, Kendall's coefficient of concordance W (agreement among subjects) and Spearman rank correlation coefficient (reproducibility after 1 week) were used to evaluate which one is more efficient. Eight kinds of linen-like silk fabrics finished with polyurethane resin were used, Subjective evaluation instruments such as rating scale method, contrasting method against a control, rank ordering method, paired comparison and Quad analysis were used, 'Stiffness and Pliability' and 'Preference of summer fabric' were estimated, From the result of subjective stiffness and pliability, which are effective on objective properties of fabric, the rating scale method in Kendall's coefficient of concordance W and Quad analysis in Spearman rank correlation coefficient were given the highest score, From the result of subjective preference of summer fabric, which are effective on individual sensibility, contrasting method against a control in Kendall's coefficient of concordance W and Quad analysis in Spearman rank correlation coefficient revealed the highest score, Regarding the accuracy, reliability and efficiency, Quad analysis was an efficient method for subjective evaluation of linen-like silk fabrics.

There have been various studies to find out the correlation between subjective and objective evaluation ride comfort in vehicle. To be proper, subjective evaluation considers the signal pattern of vibration generated by vehicle. In this study, driving test is carried out to extract the correlation between subjective evaluation by subjects and vibration signals measured on the seat when a test vehicle is passing over test bumpers, which have two sorts of width change and height change respectively. A unique reference bumper is used to be compared with the relative comfort of test bumpers.

Recently, need for the development of the quantification of subjective evaluation is growing for the production of high-touch and high-tech textile products. In this study, Fuzzy theory is utilized for the evaluation of the wear comfort of the various blouses. Result of a new evaluation method and factor scores, validity of the new evalution technique adopted fuzzy theory was crosschecked with the results of fator analysis and factor scores. As results, fuzzy theory was proved to be adequate methodology to objectify the subjective evaluation of the adequacy of clothing which is worn. When DUNCAN'S multiple comparion among median of the fuzzy composite score were compared with the results of factor score, the sensitivity of the test methods tends to increase. Therefore, it is suggested that fuzzy weighted checklist is an alternative evaluation scale for the subjective comparison of the textile products. In addition, individual median of fuzzy composite score value should be treated by statistical for the sensitive analysis of subjective evalution.

For the comfortable housing life, an urban environment should give comfort and pleasantness to people living in house and in city. There are lots of environmental conditions in city affecting house and life and most of all the noise pollution have been become factor that makes people's life hard without need to say. Recently researches have been performed to create comfortable urban environment and a study on the evaluation of urban environmental sounds is now undergoing. This study aimed to analyse the subjective characteristics through the subjective evaluation to the sounds measured with physical parameters and eventually to find out evaluation method for urban environmental sounds. Vocabularies applied to previous studies were used for the subjective evaluation and sound sources recorded in specific places were presented with picture at the same time.

The subjective-type evaluation can estimate the high-recognition ability, but has the problem of the objectivity and reliability of the evaluation, and the difficulty of Korean language processing. To solve the problem, this paper designs and implements a subjective-type evaluation system using syntactic and case-role information. This system can reduce the time and endeavor for evaluation and provide the objectivity of the evaluation. The system results the 75% success rate to the instructor evaluation and gets the better precision and recall than the word extraction evaluation system. We expect that this system will become a basis of the research on the subjective-type evaluation.
