중등학교 환경교과 선택현황에 기초한 환경교육 확산방안 (The Spreading Strategy of Environmental Education Based on the Status of Selecting Rate of Environment Subject in Secondary School)

  • This study aims to explore the ways in spreading and maturing of environmental Education(EE) in secondary school. To deal with this issue, researchers investigate the actual conditions of EE and grope for the ways in spreading and maturing of EE. According to investigation, the selecting rate of environment subject in secondary school is about 3%(compared selecting rate of other subject matters) in 2003. Based on the result, this study suggests followings. First, sequencing strategy of EE curriculum will be expected very efficaciously. Secondly, there is need to empasize daily experiences of EE beyond the formal subject matter. Thirdly and ultimately, thers is need to reform school curriculum centered EE. Moreover, there is need to empasize teacher education for the environment not only pre service but also in-service teacher training.

2009 개정 초등 수학 6학년 교과서 및 교사용 지도서의 STEAM 관련 교과 내용 분석 (An Analysis of 2009 Revised Elementary Mathematics 6th Grade Textbooks and Teacher's Manuals Based on STEAM-related Subject Contents)

  • 2009 개정 초등 수학 6학년 교과서와 교사용 지도서를 대상으로 수학적 지식 외에 어떤 STEAM 관련 교과의 내용을 포함하고 있는지 단원별, 학기별, 수학내용 영역별로 분석하였는데 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 단원별, 수학내용 영역별 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 전체적으로 스토리텔링 자료가 제일 많았고, 기술공학, 자연과학, 사회 교과 내용 순으로 많이 분석되었으나, 문화, 체육, 음악, 미술 관련 교과 내용은 매우 적었다. 둘째, 학기별 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 수학 6-2 교과서가 수학 6-1 교과서보다 61개가 많았으며, 스토리텔링을 제외한 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 수학 6-2 교과서에서는 107개, 수학 6-1 교과서에서는 39개로 수학 6-2 교과서에서의 개수가 수학 6-1 교과서에서 보다 약 2.7배 많았다. 셋째, 수학 6-1 교사용 지도서는 수학 6-1 교과서에서 STEAM 관련 교과 내용이 부족한 단원들을 잘 보완하지 못했으나, 수학 6-2 교사용 지도서에서는 수학 6-2교과서에서 부족한 단원들을 비교적 잘 보완한 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 수학 6-1, 6-2 교과서와 교사용 지도서에서 수학이외의 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수가 단원별, 수학내용 영역별, 학기별로 차이가 심하므로 다양한 STEAM 자료의 개발이 요구된다.

  • Aim of this research is suggesting a satisfied studying space for lecturer, student and curriculum by abstraction of improvement plan which based on investigation and analysis of the space that teacher is using in lecturer and study support facility in school which managed in 'Department system'. This research focused on analyse of teacher's laboratory, teacher's room, and common room in middle and high school which managed and designed by 'Department system' and registered on 'Seoul office of education' and designed in management of department system between 2009 and 2012. With these process, a conclusion of this research is as in the following. Firstly, plan of teachers' private place which is efficient and stable is required through to get out of module which can cover subject band and grade band. Secondly, we have to focus on size of teachers' convenience facilities for convenience or official usage, movement radius, and improvement of working environments. Thirdly, 'Subject type teachers' laboratory' which organized by teachers who teach same subject is more efficient than 'Task type laboratory' which organized by teachers who working on same task for management of school. In fourth, 'Task type teachers' laboratory' arranged regardless with teachers' class room to teach, and it makes lack of connectivity between teacher and class room.

2015 개정 교육과정 과학과 교과역량에 대한 초등교사의 인식과 적용 실태 분석 (Analysis of Teachers' Perception and Application Status of Science Subject Competencies of 2015 Revised Curriculum in Elementary Schools)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze field application of science subject competences of the 2015 revised curriculum for the second year of application. For this purpose, a survey with 133 elementary school teachers, and in-depth interviews with 10 teachers were conducted. According to the results, elementary school teachers had a positive awareness toward the science subject competence, which is a characteristic of the 2015 revised science curriculum, and teachers were applying the science subject competence to their own classes. This tendency was stronger in teachers in science-leading schools than in teachers in regular schools. Teachers wanted support for applying science subject competencies to their classes. To support this, it is necessary to provide the curriculum materials focused on science subject competencies, reinforce teacher training on competence-related curriculum, and activate the professional teacher community.

A Review of Teachers' Pedagogical Content Knowledge and Subject Matter Knowledge for Teaching Earth System Concepts

  • During the last three decades, earth science has been re-conceptualized as an interdisciplinary discipline entitled Earth System Science (ESS), which is based on knowledge of the physical earth system and human impact on the earth. While there is increasing effort to teach earth as a system in K-12 education, teachers' preparedness of to teach earth system is still in its infancy. This article focuses on reviewing the literature of teachers' knowledge of earth systems and of how teachers' knowledge of subject matter affects their teaching practice and pedagogical content knowledge (PCK). First, the study investigated a literature of PCK in general as well as in science teaching. Then this study duscuss what teachers' subject matter knowledge (SMK) is and what it means to be in teaching earth system science. Third, a literature of teachers' knowledge of earth system was reviewed. Finally, a number of suggestions and implications are made as to what teacher education program should do to better prepare future teachers to teach earth systems.

환경교육 담당자 양성 체제의 개선 (Training System of Environment Education Teacher : Problem and Prospect)

  • This attempts to find out training system of environment education teacher in Korea. The results are summarized as follows. The primary and secondary school have focused on environment education and the environment course was designated as a subject, but only 12% of the 2741 middle school chose the environment subject in 1998. The environment education course is not popular among students. The environment education is an interdisciplinary subject, which is composed of natural science, social studies, earth science, and medical science, that is why the subject is so unsystematic and complicated that appropriate teaching methods and contents for school classes are not able to be developed. Moreover, material and manuals in environment education for students and teachers are limited. While the contents of environment education is composed of field experience learning and experiment learning, but lecture-centered instruction is emphasized in school because of materials, time and experts. Over 300 environmental education teachers are annually produced, but the ratio of employment low. is, Therefore, a retraining program for environment education teacher needs to be developed.

초등학교 실과교과에서 안전교육에 관한 연구 (A Study on Elementary School on Safety Education in the Subject of Practical Arts)

  • The purpose of this study was to research elementary school on safety education in the subject of practical arts. The subject of practical arts of an elementary school have positive attitude about safety education and must prevent an accident to be able to happen during a class of a practical course previously. Safety education has further an interest on subject of practical arts of practice and must induce an aggressive interest of teachers in order to be able to prevent an accident previously. As the above results, to raise the perceptions of elementary school teachers on safety education in the subject of practical arts, it is necessary to search for ways to induce teachers' active interest in safety education and help them experience safety education in the subject of practical arts at teacher training centers.

도서관 활용수업에 대한 사서교사의 자기평가 분석 (An Analysis on Teacher Librarians' Self-reported Appraisals about School Library-based Instruction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 도서관 활용수업을 운영한 사서교사의 자기평가 결과에 나타난 성과와 한계를 분석하고 현실적인 활성화 방안을 제안하는 것이다. 분석 결과 도서관 활용수업의 계기는 주로 교과 교사의 학습 자료 요구이고, 사서교사의 교육적 역할은 정보 탐색 및 접근과 정보 종합 및 표현에서 이루어지고 있다. 기존 연구와 비교하여 본 연구에서 나타난 도서관 활용수업의 추가적인 제한 요소는 수업에서의 사서교사 역할 제한, 교과교사의 수업권 보호 심리와 수업 공유에 대한 거부감 그리고 다수의 동일 교과 교사와의 협력의 어려움과 교과 교실제 등이다. 사서교사들이 생각하는 도서관 활용수업의 활성화 방안은 동료교사와 친밀감을 형성하고, 학교 교육과정협의회와 동료장학 및 교사의 공개수업에 적극적으로 참여해야 한다는 것이다.

한국과 일본의 초등 예비 교사의 과학과 교육 과정 운영에 대한 인식 비교 연구 (Pre-service Elementary School Teacher's Perception of Science Curriculum Use in Korea and Japan)

  • This study investigated pre-service elementary school teacher's perception of science curriculum use in Korea and Japan. Ninety four pre-service elementary teachers in Korea and fifty three pre-service elementary teachers in Japan are participated in this study. As the result, four patterns were revealed. First, science isn't perceived as an important or interesting subject by the pre-service elementary teachers in both countries. Second, the perception of Korean pre-service teachers about the objectives of science subject is relatively negative. Third, in the case of Korea, the perception about the effectiveness of science subject content and level, and the amount of learning is shown to be more negative than those of Japan. Finally, in both countries, the science majors and the non-science majors have negative perceptions about the inclusion of the perspectives and methods of assessment and the preparation of teaching and learning plan in curriculum.

  • 본고는 학교도서관에서 사서교사가 실시하는 협동수업의 효과적인 수행을 위한 연구에 초점이 있다. 협동수업은 학교도서관을 활용하여 일반 교과 (국어, 영어. 사회, 과학, 국사 등)의 수업을 교과 교사와 사서교사가 협동으로 실시하는 수업이다. 본고는 학교 교육의 중심축인 교육 과정과 교과 수업을 위한 기반 이론인 교수설계 이론 등을 바탕으로 한 협동수업의 모형 개발과 실천 방법을 이론-모형-지원에 의한 3단계로 제시한다.
