Water deficit stress during early soybean[Glycine max (L.) Merrill] growth stage is the most important environmental factor limiting productivity. Eight soybean genotypes were grown in replicated pot under well-watered(control: near 0 bar) and drought(-5 and -10 bars) conditions. Soybean plants were subject to drought stress for 20 days at 10 days after seed emergence. Significant genotypic variation was observed for leaf area(LA) and total dry weight (TDW). At the end of water stress, LA and TDW of Hwanggeumkong and Paldalkong, which had large LA in the non-stressed control, were more sensitive to water stress than those of the other cultivars, while those of Suwon 93 with small LA were insensitive. Leaf proline and abscisic acid(ABA) contents increased after water stress. However, changes in proline and ABA contents were not consistently related to the changes in LA as affected by water stress. As the soil water potential decreased, the yield reduction of Hodgson 78 showing large decrease in LA and TDW in response to water deficit was severe when compared to that of Baegunkong with small decrease in LA and TDW. Relatively greater yield stability and higher average yield across soil water potential were observed in Baegunkong. Of specific interest was the small reduction in yield of Paldalkong in spite of its significant decrease in LA and TDW.
There has been the rapid change of paradigm with the overflow of terms related to computers such as information, digital, cyber, virtual world and the change of time concept on the ground that it is common to change the world into virtual time. This study is about cybercharacters working in air-broadcasting with rapidly-developing internet, The cybercharacters including 3D animation developed from 2D animation are know to be manufactured with use of electronic mediun and computers and to exist in electronics. Though the emergence of the cybercharacters has a lot of gflnetic roots according to their objectives, they have in common that they are made by 3D graphics and they work in the virtual space, The great traits of the cybercharaters lie in the extension of interfacial function and ecological growth. In the cyberspace the interface, the meeting point between a computer and its users is the most important, The cybercharacters as medium providing new ruman interface become effective with growing interest in virtual reality, The cybercharacters also keep the ecological traits, They can also bring about added value with infusion of image and development of the network, These cybercharacters can also play the important parts in the continually developing cyberspace, The successful birth of the cybercharacter are based on, the technological power. assistance of fund and the ctrltural background, The information-entertainment of the cybercharacters functions well with the accompinimene of these three things, The cybercharacters can make a subject which keeps single issue as a central point of the virtual realty, The cybercharacters can also be connected with equity of "Korean knowledge information society" in the cultural rule of the internet and sociocul tural identity, identity.

The development of information technology grows the society and allows the user to generate more information and the requirements. According to recent growing interest in digital convergence technologies, digital convergence can be utilized by a variety of methods as a new study. Electronic culture atlas would be digitized cultural information that represents a particular area on the map. In detail, spatial data like as point, line, and area can be used to represent the culture information. Using electronic culture atlas, also, it is possible to provide and utilize information which is associated with time, space(map) and subject(culture). Thus, electronic culture atlas could be used as a method for the humanities or area studies and spread research results by displaying on the culture atlas. In general, existing electronic culture atlas used bitmap image mostly as a base map. Using bitmap image, it is difficult to represent to provide three-dimensional information of specific area. Also, it happens problem such as breakage occurs during zoom-in operation. To solve this problems, we design and implement electronic culture atlas based on Google Earth which is three-dimensional map service.

Recently, wireless power transmission has attracted much interest and is the subject of much research in industry and academia. As its name implies, it is a technology which involves transferring power without wires. This paper presents the design of an ICT-based wireless power transmission system. The proposed system consists of a wireless transceiver unit and high-efficiency coil unit, which can increase both the transmission efficiency and the effective power distance. In particular, the wireless transceiver unit was designed to work with the ICT technique to enable real-time remote monitoring. Also, studies were done relating to the effect of reducing the standby power. The optimal frequency of IGBT devices used in industrial wireless power systems of 20[KHz] was utilized. The values of $23.9[{\mu}H]$ and $2.64[{\mu}F]$ were selected for L and C, respectively, through many field experiments designed to optimize the system design. In addition, an output current controlling algorithm was developed for the purpose of reducing the standby power. The results presented in this paper represent a 75[%] to 85[%] higher power transmission efficiency with a 10[%] increase in the effective power transmission distance compared with the existing systems. As a result, the proposed system exhibits a lower standby power and maintenance costs. Also, the designed wireless transceiver unit facilitates fault detection by means of user acquired data with the development of the ICT applied program.

The surface conductive layer (SCL) of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamonds has attracting much interest. However, neither photoemission electron microscopic (PEEM) nor micro-spectroscopic (PEEMS) information is available so far. Since SCL retains in an ultra-high vacuum (UHV) condition, PEEM or PEEMS study will give an insight of SCL, which is the subject of the present study. The sample was made on a Ib-type HTHP diamond (001) substrate by non-doping CVD growthin a DC-plasma deposition chamber. The SCL properties of the sample in air were; a few tens K/Sq. in sheet resistance, ${\sim}180\;cm^2/vs$ in Hall mobility, ${\sim}2{\times}10^{12}/cm^2$ in carrier concentration. The root-square-mean surface roughness (Rq) of the sample was ~0.2nm as checked by AFM. A $2{\times}1$ LEED pattern and a sheet resistance of several hundreds K/Sq. in UHV were checked in a UHV chamber with an in-situ resist-meter [1]. The sample was then installed in a commercial PEEM/S apparatus (Omicron FOCUS IS-PEEM) which was composed of electro-static-lens optics together with an electron energy-analyzer. The presence of SCL was regularly monitored by measuring resistance between two electrodes (colloidal graphite) pasted on the two ends of sample surface. Figure 1 shows two PEEM images of a same area of the sample; a) is excited with a Hg-lamp and b) with a Xe-lamp. The maximum photon energy of the Hg-lamp is ~4.9 eV which is smaller that the band gap energy ($E_G=5.5\;eV$) of diamond and the maximum photon energy of the Xe-lamp is ~6.2 eV which is larger than $E_G$. The image that appear with the Hg-lamp can be due to photo-excitation to unoccupied states of the hydrogen-terminated negative electron affinity (NEA) diamond surface [2]. Secondary electron energy distribution of the white background of Figs.1a) and b) indeed shows that the whole surface is NEA except a large black dot on the upper center. However, Figs.1a) and 1b) show several features that are qualitatively different from each other. Some of the differences are the followings: the two main dark lines A and B in Fig.1b) are not at all obvious and the white lines B and C in Fig.1b) appear to be dark lines in Fig.1a). A PEEMS analysis of secondary electron energy distribution showed that all of the features A-D have negative electron affinity with marginal differences among them. These differences can be attributed to differences in the details of energy band bending underneath the surface present in SCL [3].

This study investigated the effects of a nutrition education program which used children's books, on students' food preferences and eating behavior. The program used seven children's books on the subject of food and nutrition, and included diverse learning activities based on Multiple Intelligences. The subjects were divided into two groups: control and experimental. The control group took only the regular practical arts lessons, while the experimental group took the additional lessons of this program. The results were as followed. First, the food preferences of the experimental group increased for various foods, expecially fish, beans, vegetables, and seaweed, for which their preferences had been low, while their preferences for processed foodstuffs decreased. Second, the eating behavior of the experimental group improved more than that of the control group. Thus, this program had positive effects on the children's food preferences and eating behavior. Programs such as these can help children to participate in learning activities with greater interest, and to learn various subjects in books. In addition, this study suggests that children's books can be valuable materials in nutrition education.
As the industrial paradigm shifts and the manufacturing industry declines, many changes also take place in the region as well. In this regard, interest in industrial heritage as a facet of cultural heritage is on the increase. In this paper, the meaning of regional 'cultural contents' as industrial heritage is investigated within the scope of specific region. It is meant to move beyond the viewpoint of considering industrial heritage as only relating to industrial machinery and relevant landmarks from the past. The concept of industrial heritage is established more clearly through the review policy and case study analysis of existing research; the analysis is conducted to investigate the characteristics associated with it, and then to explore how best to utilize it. In particular, this paper attempts to focus on how it operates within these parameters using a spatio-temporal context as much as possible, and concentrating on the recognition and experience of the subject of industrial heritage as being traceable through human story. This research is based on the case of 'Sapporo' which focuses on modern history based on historical importance, and the 'Cheongju' case study, which contrasts the former by focusing on urban regeneration using a spatial lens. This paper identifies the possibility of regional development through the examination of past identity and diversity in the present, and highlights the features that could be linked to future usability and development. In addition, it proposes the possibility that the cycle of regional development could change in the process of the different stages of territorialization, de-territorialization and re-territorialization.
