The smaller diameter cone penetrometer has been widely used to estimate the characteristics of local area due to high vertical resolution. The half-bridge cirucits have been adopted to measure the mechnical strength of soil through the smaller diameter cone penetrometer due to the limitation of the areas for configuring the full-bridge circuit. The half-bridge circuit, however, is known as being easily affected to the temperature variation. The objective of this study suggests the temperature-compensated method in mini-cones. The diameter and length of the mini-cone is designed to 15mm and 56mm. The load cell of the mini-cone is extended about 54mm on the behind of the mini-cone to reflect the only temperature variation. The full-bridge circuit is installed to measure the temperature-compensated values in the mini-cone and the half-bridge circuit is also organized to compare the temperature compensated values with uncompensated values. The seasonal variation tests are performed to define the effect of temperature variation under summer and winter temperature condition. The densification tests are also carried out to investigate temperature effects during penetration. The measured mechanical resistances with temperature-compensated method show more reliable and reasonable values than those measured by thermal uncompensated system. This study suggests that the temperature-compensated method of the mini-cone may be a useful technique to obtain the more reliable resistances with minimizing the temperature effect.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the Energy and Transportation Technology Domain about Technology Home Economics textbook Contents of the 7th National Curriculum. 'Jackson's Mill Industrial Arts Curriculum Theory' was used for the content analysis criteria. The results of the study are as follows: First, the sub-systems 'input' and 'process' in contents of the textbooks was represented frequently. However, the 'output', the main contents in transportation technology, was not represented. Second, components of the knowledge, materials, energy and Capital are included in Inputs system. The highest frequency and intensity of the energy and materials were showed. Third, the frequency of the Productive Processes that showed the most. The highest frequency and intensity of Transporting/Moving in Productive Processes were showed. The rest of systems that require the ratio of the intensity values do not meet.
In this study, we investigate the effects of poor shimming on quantitative measurement of ratios of metabolite levels by proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy ($^1$H MRS). Coefficient of variation (COV) of metabolite ratios for point resolved spectroscopy (PRESS) and stimulated-echo acquisition mode (STEAM) spectra was evaluated from a phantom containing in vivo levels of metabolites using a conventional whole body 1.5T MR system and conventional acquisition and analysis protocol. A statistical P-value was also calculated from a linear regression for relationship of metabolite ratios. N-acetylaspartate (NAA)/ creatine (Cr) and NAA/ choline (Cho) had low COV values for the long and short TE spectra (29.1 and 27.5%; 23.8 and 12.6 %), whereas Cho/Cr and Cr/Cho had high COV values (50.0 and 68.6 %; 27.5 and 29.3 %). A linear relationship between NAA/Cr and Cho/Cr, and between NAA/Cho and Cr/Cho revealed the statistical significance in the long and short TE spectra, respectively (P < 0.0001 and P < 0.0001; P = 0.015 and P = 0.005). There was no significant relationship between Cho/NAA and Cr/NAA in the measurement (P = 0.159; P = 0.910). The present study suggested that NAA/Cr and NAA/Cho could be useful for data with poor shimming in $^1$H MR spectroscopy. In conclusion, statistical significance of metabolite ratios indicated that the Cr and Cho levels could be interpreted as a significant alteration factor in the long and short TE spectra, and then should be used with care to provide precise metabolite quantification.
The decreased fertility is frequently thought to be problem of cattle production. However, studies figure out that number of these problems is related to bull factors especially in artificial insemination setting. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the fertility status of bull by their estimated relative conception rate of cows that were inseminated by frozen semen from Korean proven bulls. Here we use the non-return rate (NRR) to access the bull fertility whereas, the NRR was define as the proportion of bulls that semen were used to inseminate cows and the number of cows that did not return for another service within 60 days. The data from 54,388 artificial inseminations (AI) were analyzed from 88 KPN semen. The NRRs of highest and lowest fertile bull were 83.81 and 51.33%, respectively. And mean NRR was 68.27%. In comparison to previously reported study, our data shows 17.38% higher NRR and the absolute value of difference in 50%>NRR and 50%
The purpose of this study was to examine the influential factors for the quality of life of 151 dental hygienists. Average score were job stress $2.84{\pm}0.60$, social support $3.97{\pm}0.52$ and quality of life $3.18{\pm}0.35$ In terms of the quality of life, there were significant gaps according to age, marital status, the type of workplace, education and economic status. In social support significant difference were found according to age, the type of workplace and work system. In job stress, economic status made significant differences to that. Among the sub-factors of the quality of life, the dental hygienists who worked in public dental clinics led a life of higher quality than those who worked in hospitals in terms of physical and psychological health. In terms of social relationships, the dental hygienists who received graduate-school education led a life of better quality than the college graduates. In terms of environments, the 30-34 age group led a life of better quality than the 25-29 age group, and those who worked in public dental clinics led a life of better quality than the others. Those who received graduate-school education led a life of better quality than the junior-college graduates and the college graduates, and the group whose annual income was between 30 and 39 million won led a life of higher quality than the others. In terms of the overall quality of life, the group that worked for five days a week was ahead of the other that worked for five days a week. As a result of analyzing what factors affected the quality of life, emotional support, material support were identified as the variables to have a significant impact on that.
This study was designed to investigate the optimum manufacturing condition of germanium-fortified yeast, and the binding properties of germanium (Ge) in germanium-fortified yeast. The nutritional optimum conditions were glucose 3.0 (w/v) %, yeast extracts 0.3 (w/v) % and peptone 0.5 (w/v) %, and the amounts of yeast cells were 67.4 mg/ml. And, the standard germanium-fortified yeast was produced under the condition at the ratio of yeast cell and germanium solution was 1 : 0.5 (50%), pH 6.5 and $35-40^{\circ}C$ during fermentation. In results of the identification, binding of germanium-protein showed structural difference between the inorganic Ge $(GeO_2)$ added during fermentation process and germanium-fortified yeast. Therefore, germanium-fortified yeast made by biosynthetic technology formed structurally safe organic germanium during fermentation process. Germanium-fortified yeast can be applied as a new functional material far the improvement of health, the prevention and treatment of chronic degenerative disease like cancer, and the enforcement of immune system.

Two bacteria were isolated from the continuously pesticide-used soil under plastic film house and upland condition. The degradation test of several pesticides by the selected bacteria, B59 and B71, were conducted. The degradation rates for 6 pesticides, procymidone, chlorothalonil, ethoprophos parathior, alachlor and pendimethalin, in medium by the isolates were 21.1% to 53.2% higher than non-inoculated medium. Under shaking culture condition, 90% to 95% of procymidone was degraded after 21 days treatment. Parathion was degraded in the range of 60% to 100% by B71 and B59, respectively. Otherwise 70% of alachlor was degraded by the two isolated bacteria during same period. The pH was not significantly affected for degradation of pesticides. The bacterial strains, B59 and B71 was identified as Acinetobacter sp. and as Pseudomonas sp. based on morphological, biochemical and physiological characteristics, and identity and similarity of automatic identification system, Biolog and MIDI.

Aircraft can often be exposed to a variety of environments and vibrations such as engine, hydraulic pump, aerodynamic force. These may cause cracking and destruction of the mechanical structure and sub-components by high-cycle fatigue. The axial piston type pump which is usually applied to the aircraft hydraulic pump can be necessarily accompanied by the fluid pulsation by continuous rotation of the axial piston. The fatigue crack was identified at the dampener fitting welding zone to prevent vibration damping during the running of aircraft equipped with this type of pulsation hydraulic pump. In order to understand the root cause of this matter, fracture and component analyses were carried out and also integral type dampener fitting was applied to prevent recurrence of the crack as a subject of design improvements. Structural integrity stress analysis, fatigue analysis, qualification test and aircraft system equipped test was conducted to verify the design validity in application to integral type dampener fitting. The test results were sufficiently satisfactory with the demand lifetime of the material from the various types of test as conducted and the subject of design improvement in this study could be objectively evaluated that shall be applied to the operational aircraft.
This study an analyzes the effects of the P/S ratio of dietary lipids and antioxidant vitamin supplements on serum lipids level and fatty acid profile, the degree of lipid peroxidation, and the antioxidant enzyme activities in the liver of rats treated with 7,12-dimethylbenz($\alpha$) anthracene(DMBA). P/S ratio of dietary lipids was made into 0.5, 1 and 2 by mixing palm oil, soybean oil, sesame oil and perilla oil at 10%(w/w) fat level and n-6/n-3 ratio was fixed to 4. Antioxidant vitamin of $\alpha$-tocopherol or $\beta$-carotene was supplemented in addition to vitamin mixture which was given at 1 % of the standard diet. female Sprague-Dawley strain rats, about 60 days old, were divided into three groups(LP : low P/S ratio(0.5), MP : medium P/S ratio (1.0), HP , high P/S ratio(2.0)) and each group was sub-divided into three groups(S ; standard, T ; tocopherol supplemented, C : carotene supplemented): Two weeks after feeding experimental diets, all groups were treated with a single dose of DMBA(2mg/100g BW) by gastric intubation and fed experimental diet for 9 week. The results were as follows ; 1) Serum total cholesterol(TC) level was not significantly influenced by diet but tended to be lower in HP groups compared to LP and MP groups. Triglyceride level was the highest in LP groups and the lowest in $\alpha$-tocopherol supplemented groups. 2) Thiobarbituric acid reactive substance(TBARS) level, representing lipid peroxidation in hepatic microsome, tended to be increased as the unsaturation of dietary lipids increases. $\alpha$-Tocopherol supplement significantly decreased TBARS level. 3) The activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glutathione peroxidase(GSHPx) in hepatic cytosol showed the tendency to be high with increasing P/S ratio of dietary lipids. SOD activity was not significantly influenced by antioxidant vitamin, but GSHPx activity was significantly increased in $\alpha$-tocopherol supplemented groups. In summary, high polyunsaturated fat diet was effective on reducing the serum level of total cholesterol and triglyceride, while it increased unsaturation and peroxidizability of serum fatty acid. With increasing P/S ratio of dietary lipids, lipid peroxidation was increased in the liver and antioxidant enzyme system was induced to inhibit lipid peroxidation against oxidative damage. $\alpha$-Tocopherol supplement was effective in lowering lipid peoxidation, but $\beta$-carotene supplement did not exhibit antioxidant effect. This paper aims to measure and evaluates the technical efficiency with two inputs and four outputs with the use of fuzzy DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) in Korean RCC(Rescue Co-ordination Center)/RSC(Rescue Sub-Center). Especially, this paper included not only the marine accident data which occurred for the analysis in particular but also the possibility data of a potential marine accident by an Environmental Stress value and analyzed the technical efficiency. And in this paper, asymmetrical triangular fuzzy number is presented about inputs/ outputs data and a procedure is suggest for it solution. The basic idea is to transform the fuzzy CCR model into a crisp linear programming problem by applying an alternative ${\alpha}-cut$ approach. Also this paper propose a ranking method for fuzzy RCC/RSC using presented fuzzy DEA approach. The result, when ${\alpha}-cut$ is 0.5, efficiency priority should be in order to YS, BS, MP, TS, JJ, PH, US, IC, SC, DR, GS, TA, WD RCC/RSC. Finally, Inefficiency TA, WD RCC/RSC have to benchmarking with reference sets.
