This study is to explore whether the relationship among financial markets changed according to financial development. For this study, data analysis was conducted through analytic methods incorporated structural breaks such as Zivot and Andrews'(1992) unit root test Gregory and Hansen's(1996a,b) cointegration test, etc. In study results, it was found that dynamic relationship between stock price and interest rate was changed from negative to positive after the structural break(Oct 1999). It may be resulted from the fact that asset substitutability between stock and bond was increased since stock investment became popularized The negative relationship between stock price and exchange rate was reinforced after the structural break(the foreign currency crisis). Also, the negative relationship between interest rate and exchange rate was strengthened after the structural break(Oct. 1999).

In the present study, the influence of car body structures to the noise and vibration characteristics has been sought. The numerical modal analysis for the body-in-white is employed to predict the vibratory response of structure, and then followed by the experimental modal testing to confirm the validity of the model. Using the results of numerical simulations with the designated modal parameters, the optimal structural configuration has been deduced. Special interests have been paid to the sensitivity of sound quality to the structural integrity. Since the structural integrity has a close relationship to the structure-born noise, the substantially low frequency range, which is far below the frequency range almost barely sensible by human auditory organ but still quite influential to overall impression, is especially examined. The subjective assessment agrees with the objective evaluation by means of traditional sound measures as well as psychoacoustic metrics.
The purpose of this study is to highlight the importance of relationship marketing which has been developed as an alternative way of handling marketing in family restaurants. This study focused on the consumers' behavior - mainly their switching behavior and loyalty toward relationship marketing activities exercised by from family restaurants. 269 usable questionnaires were collected from customers patronizing three family style restaurants in Seoul. Several statistical methods were used including descriptive analysis, reliability test, covariance analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and covariance structural analysis. The result drawn from empirical test proved that relationship marketing activities actually are the significant determinants of relationship quality and thus to the customers' behaviors toward the restaurants they patronize. Managerial implications can be drawn from the result findings that restaurant companies can identify the activities of relationship marketing to continue the long-term relationship with their customers. Also restaurant companies can use the activities of relationship marketing as differentiating strategies, and allocate their resources into the activities of relationship marketing.
For performance-based design using nonlinear static analysis, it is required to predict the inelastic behavior of structural members accurately. In the present study, a nonlinear numerical analysis was peformed to develop the method describing the moment-curvature relationship of structural wall with boundary confinement. Through the numerical analysis, variations of behavioral characteristics and failure mechanism with the arrangement of vertical reinforcement and the length of boundary confinement were studied. According to the analysis, the maximum moment-carrying capacity of structural walls with adequately confined boundary elements is developed at the moment the unconfined concrete reaches the ultimate compressive strain. Walls with flexural re-bars concentrated on the boundaries fails in a brittle manner. As vortical re-bars in the web increases, the brittle failure is prevented and a ductile failure occurs. Based on the findings, moment-curvature curves for walls with a variety of re-bar arrangement were developed. According to the proposed relationships, deformability of the structural walls wth boundary confinement increases as the compressive strength of the confined concrete increases compared to the applied compressive force.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship between self-directed learning, online class environment, and learning satisfaction of general high school students. 219 12th grade students in Sejong B High School responded to the survey questionnaire. For data analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation models were implemented. Results are as follows. First, there was a moderate or higher correlation between self-directed learning, online class environment, and learning satisfaction. Second, the model fit of the structural model among variables was good. Self-directed learning had an effect on the online class environment, and the online class environment had a positive effect on learning satisfaction. However, self-directed learning had no statistically significant effect on learning satisfaction. The researcher found the implication that learners' online class satisfaction showed a synergistic effect when students' self-directed learning ability and educators' excellent class environment are created. Also, the researcher proposed to analyze online learning satisfaction by comprehensively considering the individual, family, and school factors of various learners.

The structural behaviors of a arch composed of flexible membrane are investigated. The membrane is considered as thin shell with internal pressure during FEM analysis by using ABAQUS. In the paper, a wind load and uniformly distributed vertical load are considered. As a vertical load, snow loads including applied over all and half of the structure are introduced. The ends of arch are fixed to the ground. Load-Deflections relationship, buckling mode of the structure are presented.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the structural properties of plain knit fabrics on the subjective perception of textures, sensibilities, and preference among consumers. This study, then, aimed to provide useful information with respect to planning and designing knitted fabrics by predicting the subjective characteristics analyzed according to their structural properties. For this purpose, we employed statistical analysis tools, such as factor and regression analysis and an adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference system(ANFIS), thereby combining the merits of fuzzy and neural networks and presupposing a non-linear relationship. Through factor analysis, we also categorized the subjective textures into 'roughness', 'softness', 'bulkiness' and 'stretch-ability' with R2=70.32%: and categorized the sensibilities into 'Stable/Neat', 'Natural/Comfortable' and 'Feminine/Elegant' with R2=68.12%. We analyzed subjective textures, sensibilities, and preference with ANFIS, assuming non-linear relationships; consequently, we were able to generate three or four fuzzy rules using wool/rayon fiber content and loop length as input data. The textures of roughness and softness exhibited a linear relationship, but other subjective characteristics demonstrated a non-linear input-output relationship. Compared with linear regression analysis, the ANFIS exhibited had higher predictive power with respect to predicting subjective characteristics.

In this study, a geometric nonlinear analysis formulation for spatial frames is developed using the 3D stability functions. For the formulation, the relationships of local and global coordinate systems in force, deformation, and the initial and current configurations of a frame are derived. The force-deformation relationship in global coordinate system is derived as well. The developed formulation is verified in each derivation by reducing the derived equations into 2D equations. The gradual plastification of connections and critical sections can be implemented effectively to this formulation for the complete second order inelastic advanced analysis of spatial frames.

To evaluate seismic performance of bridges, two procedures far capacity spectrum method are presented. The capacity spectrum procedures include the reduction factor-ductility-period relationship in order to construct the inelastic demand spectra from the elastic demand spectra. Application of the procedures is illustrated by example analysis. Maximum displacements estimated by the procedures are compared to those by inelastic time history analysis for several artificial earthquakes. The results show that the maximum displacements estimated by the procedures are, on overall, smaller than those by the inelastic time history analysis
This paper investigates the relationship between the structural characteristics of a virtual CoP and the measures of social network analysis. Several implications were developed by the results of the study First, the study, based on reviews of both the CoP and SNA literature, identified specific structural measures of SNA; connectedness, geodesic distance, and density. Second, the formal CoP investigated in this study showed greater development that the classic, informal CoP in terms of the structural dimension of a CoP. The results show that those measures of social network analysis provide an illuminating way to better understand the structural properties of CoP's. Implications of the study with some suggestions for future research are provided.
