According to the statistics of maritime accidents statistics that have occurred in Korea over the past five years, maritime accidents caused by fishing boats have increased every year from 1,646 in 2016 to 2,100 in 2020. In particular, of the 378 capsizing accidents that have occurred in the past five years, 252 capsizing accidents of fishing boats account for a high proportion of 66.7%, therefore, it is urgent to come up with countermeasures. In this study, to determine the cause of the capsizing accident of fishing boat No. 66 poongsung, data such as stability and seawater inflow routes were collected, and the effects of waterproof, additional wood decks, and windbreakers on stability on were quantitatively analyzed. Additional decks, windbreakers, and waterproof installed in No. 66 poongsung cause initial list, deteriorate stability, and fail to meet fishing boat structural standards. In addition, it was analyzed that the stability was weakened due to the characteristics of the hull shape of No. 66 poongsung. To estimate the stability at the time of the accident, the stability at the time of the working in the fishing ground condition, amount of seawater inflow according to the change in sea conditions, hull oscillation situation, and change in stability due to the hull factor were calculated. As a result, the minimum GoM was satisfied at the time of working in the fishing ground, but it could not be restored at the maximum wave height of 4 m, and the minimum GoM was not satisfied at the maximum wave height of 4 m owing to the influence of seawater inflow and oscillation due to the hull list. However, the minimum GoM was satisfied if additional decks and windbreakers installation was excluded among the factors affecting the stability of No. 66 poongsung.

The proportion of single-person households has been steadily increasing, and the young account for the highest proportion at 35.9% among all single-person households. However, research on young single-person households has been relatively recent. Research on single-person households has mostly focused on all single-person households or elderly single-person households, and comparative research between different age groups is lacking. Therefore, this study categorizes all single-person households into young, middle-aged, and elderly groups to investigate the differences in the factors that affect their residential satisfaction and to analyze how these residential environment factors affect life satisfaction through the mediating effect of residential satisfaction. The 2020 Seoul Survey Urban Policy Index Survey data were analyzed using a structural equation model to investigate the impact of each factor. First, a finding is that various residential environment factors directly affect residential satisfaction and life satisfaction. Next, it was found that residential satisfaction directly affects life satisfaction in the models of young and middle-aged single-person households. Through this, it was confirmed that there are differences in residential environment factors that affect residential satisfaction and that residential satisfaction plays an important mediating role. Finally, it was found that the factors that affect the residential and life satisfaction of young single-person households are more diverse compared to other age groups. This study provides policy implications that age group differences should be considered first in order to improve the residential and life satisfaction of single-person households. In particular, for young single-person households, it is necessary to consider more diverse alternatives to improve their residential and life satisfaction.
This study is to verify the mediated effects of attitudes toward old people and dementia in the influence of elderly couples in the aging society amid the rapidly changing family structure and functions due to the combination of individualization, marital status and divorce rate. In order to carry out such research purposes, data were collected from students of elementary, middle and high schools in Gwangju, through self-subscribed questionnaire. For statistical analysis, the SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs were used and frequency, percentages, technical statistics, correlation, factor analysis, structural model validation, and the Sobel-Test were performed. The results of this study are as follows. First, family intimacy, elderly awareness, and elderly care were the highest among elementary school students, followed by middle school and high school students (P.<.001). Also, in religion, the family intimacy of teenagers with religion was higher than those without religion (p.001). Second, family intimacy directly affected elderly people's attitudes toward dementia and elderly care, old people's attitudes toward dementia and attitudes toward dementia directly affected elderly care. Third, family intimacy (parent-child) was found to be 7.8% for older adults, 20.2% for family intimacy and attitudes toward dementia, and 34.1% for elderly care (p.<.001). Fourth, it has been verified that the absolute value of attitudes toward dementia and elderly people's awareness of elderly people and attitudes between family intimacy and elderly care has been higher than 1.96 and thus acts as a mediating role. These findings are intended to contribute to the welfare of senior citizens' education to improve the quality of life for senior citizens through the resolution of conflicts between generations, as well as the resolution of positive stimulus, by developing various programs such as family friendship, elderly awareness, culture with parents, and various experiences to improve attitudes toward dementia in early adolescence.
This study aimed to develop and validate the Classroom Problem Behavior Scale - Elementary School Version (CPBS-E) measure which is unique to classroom problem behavior exhibited by Korean elementary school students. The focus was on developing a universal screening instrument designed to identify and provide intervention to students who are at-risk for severe social-emotional and behavioral problems. Items were initially drawn from the literature, interviews with elementary school teachers, common office discipline referral measures used in U.S. elementary schools, penalty point systems used in Korean schools, 'Green Mileage', and the Inventory of Emotional and Behavioral Traits. The content validity of the initially developed items was assessed by six classroom and subject teachers, which resulted in the development of a preliminary scale consisting of 63 two-dimensional items (i.e., Within Classroom Problem Behavior and Outside of Classroom Problem Behavior), each of which consisted of 3 to 4 factors. The Within Classroom Problem Behavior dimension consisted of 4 subscales (not being prepared for class, class disruption, aggression, and withdrawn) and the Outside of Classroom Problem Behavior dimension consisted of 3 subscales (rule-violation, aggression, and withdrawn). The CPBS-E was pilot tested on a sample of 154 elementary school students, which resulted in reducing the scale to 23 items. Following the scale revision, the CPBS-E was validated on a sample population of 209 elementary school students. The validation results indicated that the two-dimensional CPBS-E scale of classroom problem behavior was a reliable and valid measure. The test-retest reliability was stable at above .80 in most of the subscales. The CPBS-E measure demonstrated high internal consistency of .76-.94. In examining the criterion validity, the scale's correlation with the Teacher Observation of Classroom Adaptation-Checklist (TOCA-C) was high and the aggression and withdrawn subscales of the CPBS-E demonstrated high correlations with externalization and internalization, respectively, of the Child Behavior Checklist - Teacher Report Form CBCL-TRF). In addition, the factor structure of the CPBS-E scale was examined using the structural equation model and found to be acceptable. The results are discussed in relation to implications, contributions to the field, and limitations.
The Chinese counterfeits has begun to gain great attention recently because of the drastic increase in its volume. The consumption of counterfeit harms to manufacturer who spend millions of dollars to create and develop new product. The counterfeits in Chinese can cause international dispute and lower national reputation. The purpose of this study were to examine if the buyers of counterfeits tend to care more about interpersonal relationship than non-buyers among Chinese. Data were gathered by surveying Chinese consumer living in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou metropolitan area using convenient sampling, and 480 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. In analyzing data, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, structural equation modeling with AMOS were conducted. The results of this study were follows, first, attitude toward counterfeits was classified into three factors such as interpersonal relationship, perception, and involvement. It is general belief that attitudes toward counterfeits were correlated with on brand attachment, however this study show that the buyers of counterfeits tended to purchase counterfeit goods as more alternatives of genuine(original) product than non-buyers. Perhaps, the buyers of counterfeits tended to have lower consumer ethics than non-buyers because they value counterfeit high. It is generally accepted that both a producer and a buyer violate the laws, but they are rather generous for buyer. The results of this study suggest consumers' attitude towards counterfeit need to be changed, following consumer education and strict law enforcement. Based on these results, global brand marketing strategies for luxury goods were suggested.
Purpose: The dynamic behavior of a bridge structure under seismic loading depends on many uncertainties, such as the nature of the seismic waves and the material and geometric properties. However, not all uncertainties have a significant impact on the dynamic behavior of a bridge structure. Since probabilistic seismic performance evaluation considering even low-impact uncertainties is computationally expensive, the uncertainties should be identified by considering their impact on the dynamic behavior of the bridge. Therefore, in this study, a global sensitivity analysis was performed to identify the main parameters affecting the dynamic behavior of bridges with I-curved girders. Method: Considering the uncertainty of the earthquake and the material and geometric uncertainty of the curved bridge, a finite element analysis was performed, and a surrogate model was developed based on the analysis results. The surrogate model was evaluated using performance metrics such as coefficient of determination, and finally, a global sensitivity analysis based on the surrogate model was performed. Result: The uncertainty factors that have the greatest influence on the stress response of the I-curved girder under seismic loading are the peak ground acceleration (PGA), the height of the bridge (h), and the yield stress of the steel (fy). The main effect sensitivity indices of PGA, h, and fy were found to be 0.7096, 0.0839, and 0.0352, respectively, and the total sensitivity indices were found to be 0.9459, 0.1297, and 0.0678, respectively. Conclusion: The stress response of the I-shaped curved girder is dominated by the uncertainty of the input motions and is strongly influenced by the interaction effect between each uncertainty factor. Therefore, additional sensitivity analysis of the uncertainty of the input motions, such as the number of input motions and the intensity measure(IM), and a global sensitivity analysis considering the structural uncertainty, such as the number and curvature of the curved girders, are required.

The purpose of this study is to present the necessary success factors and strategies for high-tech social ventures and stakeholders in the related ecosystem by empirically identifying factors that affect their sustainable performance. Based on prior research, the dimensions of three performance factors were presented: core technology competency, core business competency, and social mission orientation. Then, such sub-dimensions such as technology innovation orientation, R&D capability, business model, customer orientation, social network, and social mission pursuit were derived. For empirical analysis, a survey was conducted on domestic high-tech social ventures, and the significance of the hypothesis was tested through PLS-structural equation analysis of the collected 243 valid data. As a result, it was found that the technology innovation orientation was embedded as an abstract organizational and cultural characteristic in the high-tech social venture, which is a research sample, and thus did not significantly affect the dependent variable. In other words, aiming for the latest cutting-edge technology alone cannot affect performance, and it is a result of proving the need for substantial influencing factors that can strengthen it. On the other hand, the business model had a significant effect only on social performance, which is presumed to be the limitation of measurement tools developed for social enterprises, and the results of additional multi-group analysis to determine the cause also supported the basis for this estimation. Excluding the previous two performance factors, R&D competency, customer orientation, social network, and social mission pursuit were all found to have a significant positive (+) effect on social and economic performance. This study laid a foundation for related research by identifying high-tech social ventures emerging in the ecosystem of a social economy and expanded empirical research models related to the performance of existing social enterprises and social ventures. However, in the research method or process, there were limitations such as factor derivation or verification for balance of dual performance, subjective measurement method, and sample representativeness. It is expected that more in-depth follow-up studies will continue by supplementing future limitations and designing improved research models.
The software industry is a high value-added industry in the knowledge information age, and its importance is growing as it not only plays a key role in knowledge creation and utilization, but also secures global competitiveness. Among various SW available in today's business environment, Open Source Software(OSS) is rapidly expanding its activity area by not only leading software development, but also integrating with new information technology. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to empirically examine and analyze the effect of factors on the switching behavior to OSS. To accomplish the study's purpose, we suggest the research model based on "Push-Pull-Mooring" framework. This study empirically examines the two categories of antecedents for switching behavior toward OSS. The survey was conducted to employees at various firms that already switched OSS. A total of 268 responses were collected and analyzed by using the structural equational modeling. The results of this study are as follows; first, continuous maintenance cost, vender dependency, functional indifference, and SW resource inefficiency are significantly related to switch to OSS. Second, network-oriented support, testability and strategic flexibility are significantly related to switch to OSS. Finally, the results show that willingness to secures SW competitiveness has a moderating effect on the relationships between push factors and pull factor with exception of improved knowledge, and switch to OSS. The results of this study will contribute to fields related to OSS both theoretically and practically.
The rapid advancement of the 4th Industrial Revolution and the ongoing effects of COVID-19 significantly accelerated the adoption of smart work practices, especially in the financial sector. This study aimed to empirically investigate the impact of smart work on job satisfaction among employees in this industry. Specifically, the study examined the effects of time flexibility and workplace flexibility (as quantitative elements of smart work) and work autonomy (as a qualitative element) on job satisfaction. Additionally, the study explored the impact of technostress factors, including techno-overload, techno-invasion, and techno-complexity. Using data from 250 valid survey responses collected from financial sector employees, the study employed structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS to analyze the relationships. The findings revealed that time flexibility and work autonomy positively influenced job satisfaction, with work autonomy being the most significant predictor. Conversely, techno-overload and techno-invasion negatively affected job satisfaction. However, workplace flexibility and techno-complexity did not show a significant relationship with job satisfaction, possibly due to the already established norms in the financial sector, where remote work and high-level technology usage were standard practices. A critical aspect of the study was the examination of work-life balance as a mediating factor. The analysis confirmed that work-life balance mediated the relationship between work autonomy, techno-overload, techno-invasion, and job satisfaction. This suggested that maintaining a balance between work and personal life was crucial for enhancing job satisfaction in smart work environments, particularly in the financial sector. Effective management of technostress was essential to preserving this balance and improving overall employee satisfaction. These findings contributed to the academic understanding of how smart work practices and technostress impacted job satisfaction. They offered practical insights for financial sector organizations seeking to optimize smart work environments by emphasizing the importance of work-life balance and carefully managing technostress factors.
With the advancement of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, the maritime sector is actively developing technologies and policies related to autonomous ships. This study aims to identify and prioritize various factors influencing the adoption of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) by conducting surveys among experts and professionals in the maritime industry. To achieve this, relevant factors related to the adoption of autonomous ships were examined through a review of previous research, and survey questions for pairwise comparison using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) were developed based on the insights of industry experts. The pairwise comparison items were categorized into four main factors at the highest level, with each factor further subdivided into sub-factors to establish their priorities. The survey results, which distinguish between shipowner and non-shipowner groups, reveal that, among the main factors-economic, legal and policy, safety and security, and technical-the shipowner group prioritized economic factors, though the difference from safety and security factors was relatively minor. In contrast, the non-shipowner group rated safety and security factors as the highest priority, with economic factors ranked lowest. Further analysis of the sub-factors across both groups indicated that, for economic factors, the increase in operational profit was most critical; for legal and policy factors, regulations related to structural equipment were paramount; for safety and security factors, the risk of equipment and machinery failure was key; and for technical factors, accident response technology was most significant. This study provides strategic insights for stakeholders by systematically analyzing decision factors for adopting MASS through AHP analysis. The findings enable companies to establish efficient resource allocation and investment strategies, while policymakers can utilize the results to guide policy and regulatory directions. Moreover, the study contributes to the existing body of knowledge by solidifying the framework of determinants for MASS adoption, incorporating commercial considerations alongside technical and legal factors. The results not only offer fundamental information for future research but also provide a rationale for informed decision-making in the shipbuilding and maritime industries regarding MASS adoption and operation.
