Industrial reducer is in general use to Deck Crane. High-precision and high-efficient reducer is minimized the power-loss and energy-loss of a machine. So it contribute the price reduction and life extension. Reducer is usually using the Planetary gear reducer. Planetary gear reducer is composed the sun gear, planet gear, internal gear and casing. Industrial reducer's wear and breakage have a short-life. To solve this problem, it is using the profile-shifted-gear or tooth modification. This study was carried out the effect of addendum modification coefficient on tooth fillet bending strength to planetary reducer. Tooth fillet bending stress is calculate. And all parameter were expressed the function of addendum modification coefficient. And then stress concentration factor of tooth fillet curve was express the function of addendum modification coefficient using comparison between theory and finite element analysis.
This study was carried out to investigate the consolidation characteristics of the remolded clay by the oedometer and the constant rate of strain(CRS) consolidation tests. As the rate of strain increases, the settlement rapidly decreased. As the ratio of the sand in the specimen increases, its effect on the rate of strain to the settlement was reduced. As the effective stress increased, the void ratio decreased, while the rate of strain increased, it did not show a clear variation. The reduction of the void ratio was shown to be less than the oedometer test. The coefficient of vertical consolidation with effective stress showed very large variation around preconsolidation stress, but the rate of strain did not provide significant effects. The rate of strain with effective stress gradually decreased at all tests and mixed ratio of sand. The rate of strain at the constant rate of strain tests showed smaller than in the oedometer test. The coefficient of consolidation at the constant rate of strain tests showed much more increase than in the oedometer test. The ratio of the vertical coefficient of consolidation by the odometer and the constant rate of strain tests showed a large difference according to various tests method and mixing ratio. Therefore, it is recommended that careful attention should be paid to designing the soft ground improvement.

This paper assesses the prediction performance of explicit algebraic stress and heat-flux models for reduction of heat transfer coefficient in a strongly-heated vertical tube. Two explicit algebraic stress models and four explicit algebraic heat-flux models are selected for assessment. Eight combinations of explicit algebraic stress and heat-flux models are used in predicting the turbulent gas flows with intense heating, which yields the significant property-variation. The results showed that the two combinations of GS-AKN and WJ-mAKN predicted the Nusselt number and the axial wall temperature variations well and that the predictions of Nusselt number with WJ-combinations spread in a wider range than those with Gs-combinations. WJ is the explicit algebraic stress model of Wallin and Johansson and GS is the model of Gatski and Speziale and that AKN is the explicit heat-flux model of Abe, Kondoh and Nagano and mAKN is the modified AKN.
Residual stress measurements were made for cylindrical glass rods to compare experimental results with the calculated values obtained by Instant Freezing Model. According to the photoelastic measurements, the stress ratio of surface compression and center tension was increased from 1.4 to 2.0 as the heat-treatment temperature was lowered, the fictitious forzen temperature was found to be closer to the heat-treatment temperature and the fictitious coefficient was increased.

Size reduction of micro-aperture using additional deposition is presented in this study. PECVD process was used for additional deposition. Rate of deposition is different with deposition direction because corners of shadowmask membrane have a taper. Deposition into backside showed better than deposition into frontside with size reduction. Shadowmask membrane with two materials has stress because of the difference of a coefficient of thermal expansion The cantilever of membrane bend to opposite direction of deposition. Deposition to both frontside and backside could reduce inside stress.
Wind load and responses are the major factors which govern the design norms of tall buildings. Corner modification is one of the most commonly used minor shape modification measure which significantly reduces the wind load and responses. This study presents a comparison of wind load and pressure distribution on different corner modified (chamfered and rounded) Y plan shaped buildings. The numerical study is done by ANSYS CFX. Two turbulence models, k-epsilon and Shear Stress Transport (SST), are used in the simulation of the building and the data are compared with the previous experimental results in a similar flow condition. The variation of the flow patterns, distribution of pressure over the surfaces, force and moment coefficients are evaluated and the results are represented graphically to understand the extent of nonconformities due to corner modifications. Rounded corner shape is proving out to be more efficient in comparing to chamfered corner for wind load reduction. The maximum reduction in the maximum force and moment coefficient is about 21.1% and 19.2% for 50% rounded corner cut.
Usually, the cyclic shear stress ratio (CSR) for the assessment of liquefaction has been determined by performing ground response analysis or adopting simplified method suggested by Seed & Idriss with some modifications. In order to analyze the applicability of the CSR evaluation methods, the present study performed one-dimensional equivalent linear analysis and evaluated CSR based on design codes from FHWA, JRA, and KDS. The comparison of the CSR obtained from each code showed that the CSR from KDS showed the largest error with the analysis results. The reason is because KDS has an error, which defines the stress reduction coefficient applying the maximum acceleration at each depth, not the maximum cyclic shear stress mobilized in the soil.

Fiber-reinforced composites not only have a direction of thermal expansion coefficient, but also inevitably suffer thermal stress effects due to the difference between the manufacturing process temperature and the actual use temperature. The damage caused by thermal stress is more prominent in the case of thick composite laminates, which are increasingly applied in the aerospace industry, and have a great influence on the mechanical function and fracture strength of the laminates. In this study, the dimensional reduction and thermal stress recovery theory of composite beam structure having high slenderness ratio is introduced and show the efficiency and accuracy of the thermal stress comparison results between the 3-D finite element model and the dimension reduction beam model. Efficient recovery analysis study will be introduced by reconstructing the thermal stress of the composite beam section applied to the thermal environment by constructing the dimensional reduction modeling and recovery relations.
This paper presents a numerical analysis of the lubrication characteristics of condensed water molecules on a solid surface by conducting molecular dynamics simulations. We examine two models consisting of a simple hexahedral substrate with and without water molecules to reveal the lubrication mechanism of mono-layered water molecules. We perform a sliding simulation by contacting and translating a single asperity on the substrate under various normal loads. During the simulation, we measure the friction coefficient and atomic stress. When water molecules were interleaved between solid surfaces, atomic stress exerted on individual atom and friction coefficient were smaller than those of model without water molecule. Particularly, at a low load, the efficacy of water molecules in the reduction of atomic stress and friction is remarkable. Conversely, at high loads, water molecules rarely lubricate solid surfaces and fail to effectively distribute the contact stress. We found a critical condition in which the lubrication regime changes and beyond the condition, significant plastic deformation was created. Consequently, we deduce that water molecules can distribute and reduce contact stress within a certain condition. The reduced contact stress prevents plastic deformation of the substrate and thus diminishes the mechanical interlocking between the asperity and the substrate.

Sometimes open holes are required for the function and the weight reduction of structure and machinery. However, the serious stress concentration occurs because of the geometric discontinuity caused by the holes and cutting section. In this study, it is attempted to obtain the stress concentration coefficients of the inner surface of the hole boundary by changing the position and the shape of holes on the homogeneous isotropic plate. And the effects on the plate are investigated. The results show that the stress level becomes low and the distribution area widens the position of stress concentration changes as the ratio a/b increases and change to a circle. And as the ratio a/l decreases, the stress concentration reduces. As the plate with three holes. the stress $\sigma$$\_$x/ and $\tau$$\_$xy/ of hole 1,3 becomes high, especially $\sigma$$\_$x/ dominant and high.
