주조 스테인리스강 CF8M의 43$0^{\circ}C$ 열화거동에 관한 연구 (II) -저사이클 피로특성 평가- (A Study on the 43$0^{\circ}C$ Degradation Behavior of Cast Stainless Steel(CF8M)(II)-Evaluation of Low Cycle Fatigue Characteristics-)

  • A thermal aging is observed in a primary reactor cooling system(RCS) made of a casting stainless steel when the RCS is exposed for long period at the reactor operating temperature, 290~3300C An investigation of effects of thermal aging on a low cycle fatigue characteristics included a stress variations caused by a reactor operation and trip, is required. The purpose of the present investigation is to find an effect of a thermal aging of the CF8M on a low cycle fatigue life. The specimen of CF8M are prepared by an artificially accelerated aging technique holding 300 and 1800hr at 4300C respectively. The low cycle fatigue tests for the virgin and two aged specimens are performed at the room temperature for various strain amplitudes($\varepsilon$ta), 0.3, 0.5, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.5% strain. Through the experiment, it is found that the fatigue life is rapidly reduced with an creasing of the aging time. The experimental fatigue life estimation formulas between the virgin and two aged specimen are obtained and are proposed to a analysis purpose.

  • This paper presents a comparison of the failure mechanism for high power converted white LEDs(3W) with the commercially available YAG:Ce and silicate phosphor. We carry out the normal aging life test for 10,000 hours, the high temperature aging test for 8,000 hours, the high temperature and humidity aging test for 8,000 hours and the current aging testing for 5,000 hours. The optical and electrical parameters of LEDs were monitored, such as lumen, correlated color temperature (CCT), chromaticity coordinates(x, y), thermal resistance, I -V curve and spectrum intensity. The stress induced a luminous flux decay on LED in all experiments and causes a failure. So we try to find out what's a main failure mechanism for a high power LED.

  • Our knowledge about their long-term performance in an outdoor environment is still very limited. The electrical stress caused the surface of these insulators to become degradation. In order to evaluate leakage current patterns caused by surface aging on polymeric insulators, we utilized the combined aging test facility and leakage current monitoring system. And we get the continuous leakage current values from each sample. After completing the 3000h combined aging cycle test, leakage current measurement were conducted for these samples and carried out harmonics analysis for its data.

  • The microstructure, electrical properties, and DC-accelerated aging behavior of the Zn-Pr-Co-Cr-Y-Er (ZPCC-YE) varistors were investigated for different amounts of erbium oxide ($Er_2O_3$). The microstructure consisted of zinc oxide grain and an intergranular layer ($Pr_6O_{11}$, $Y_2O_3$, and $Er_2O_3$-rich phase) as a secondary phase. The increase of $Er_2O_3$ amount decreased the average grain size and increased the sintered density. As the $Er_2O_3$ amount increased, the breakdown field increased from 5094 V/cm to 6966 V/cm and the nonlinear coefficient increased from 27.8 to 45.1. The ZPCC-YE varistors added with 0.5 to 1.0 mol% $Er_2O_3$ are appropriate for high voltage, with high nonlinearity and stability against DC-accelerated aging stress.

  • Polymeric composite insulators have been in use for outdoor insulation. However, our knowledge about their long-term performance in a outdoor environment is still very limited. Especially, these insulator are subjected to the environmental stress such as ultraviolet radiation. Hence, in this paper. the influence of UV radiation on the aging of the shed materials was evaluated. For the aging evaluation, these insulators studied by experiment methods such as contact angle measurement. oxidation induced time. SEM/EDX, FTRI-ATR, tracking test for the different insulator samples. With the increased UV exposure time, samples are shown to exhibit degradation comparable to those of new ones

  • Peroxynitrite and 4-hydroxynonenal (4-HNE) are highly reactive molecules which are generated under oxidative stress condition and during aging. Many proteins in living organism are modified by them and consequently associated with various diseases including cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. We hypothesize that peroxynitrite and 4-HNE modified serum proteins are also associated with aging process. To establish information on peroxynitrite and 4-HNE adducted proteins for aging study, we used proteins methods, 2D-PAGE and MALD-TOF MS, to identify modified proteins from young (70month) and old (25-month) rat serum.   • Aging is defined as physiological dysfunction of the body and a key risk factor for human diseases. During the aging process, cellular senescence occurs in response to various extrinsic and intrinsic factors such as radiation-induced DNA damage, the activation of oncogenes, and oxidative stress. These senescent cells accumulate in many tissues and exhibit diverse phenotypes, such as resistance to apoptosis, production of senescence-associated secretory phenotype, cellular flattening, and cellular hypertrophy. They also induce abnormal dysfunction of the microenvironment and damage neighboring cells, eventually causing harmful effects in the development of various chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases. Thus, pharmacological interventions targeting senescent cells, called senotherapeutics, have been extensively studied. These senotherapeutics provide a novel strategy for extending the health span and improving age-related diseases. In this review, we discuss the current progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms of senotherapeutics and provide insights for developing senotherapeutics.

니켈계 합금 용접부의 미세조직 및 기계적 특성에 대한 장기 열적 시효의 영향 (Effect of long-term thermal aging on the microstructural and mechanical characteristics of nickel-based alloy weldment)

  • To investigate the effect of long-term thermal aging on the microstructural and mechanical characteristics of weldment made of nickel base alloy and its weld metal, an accelerated heat treatment was applied to simulate the process of long-term thermal aging in the operating condition of nuclear power plant. A representative nickel-based weldment with Alloy 600 and Alloy 182 was fabricated and heat-treated at $400^{\circ}C$ for 1,713 h and 3,427 h to simulate the thermal aging for the period equivalent to 15 and 30 years in operating pressurized water reactors, respectively. The microstructural and mechanical characteristics were analyzed by using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and Vickers microhardness measurement. Changes were observed in precipitation behavior and microhardness of each specimen, and these changes were mainly attributed to the change in precipitated morphology and residual stress across the weld during the thermal aging process.

  • The primary insulation system used in an oil-filled transformer is kraft paper, wood, porcelain and oil. Modern transformers use paper that is chemically treated to improve its tensile strength properties and resistance to aging caused by immersion in oil. But these insulation papers are mainly aged to thermal stress. Over the course of the insulation paper and oil's life it is exposed to high temperatures, oxygen and water. Its interaction with the steel of the tank and core plus the copper and aluminium of the windings will eventually cause the chemical properties of the oil to decay. High temperature have an effect on mechanical strength of cellulous paper using the layer insulation. We made two aging cell in which thermal aging tests of insulation papers and mineral oil are conducted. It is measured dielectric strength, number of acid, moisture, etc. of insulation paper and oil aged in the aging cells.

피부 섬유아세포에서 밤나무 잎 추출물의 항산화 및 항노화 효능 (Antioxidant and Anti-aging Effects of Extracts from Leaves of Castanea crenata Siebold & Zucc. in Human Dermal Fibroblast)

  • 현재 식품공전에 식품원료로 사용이 가능한 것으로 등록된 국내 산림지역 자생 식물을 식품산업에 활용하고자 국내 자생식물 45종을 선별하였고, 본 연구팀의 선행연구에서 45종의 항산화 활성을 평가한 결과, 다른 종들과 비교하여 우수한 항산화 활성을 보인 밤나무 잎을 본 연구에서 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 hydrogen peroxide로 산화적 스트레스를 유도한 상태에서 밤나무 잎 추출물의 세포 보호효과, 세포내 항산화 효과 및 항노화 효과를 관찰하였다. 세포 보호효과를 측정한 결과 밤나무 잎 추출물의 농도 유의적으로 세포를 보호하는 효과를 확인하였고, 특히 $100{\mu}g/mL$에서는 양성대조군으로 사용한 항산화 물질인 ascorbic acid 수준까지 세포를 보호하는 효과를 나타내었다. $H_2$-DCFDA 염색을 통한 세포내 항산화 효과를 확인한 결과, 형광현미경과 형광흡광도 측정에서 모두 밤나무 잎 추출물이 농도 유의적으로 세포내 ROS를 저감을 확인하였고, 세포 보호효과와 마찬가지로 농도 $100{\mu}g/mL$에서는 ascorbic acid와 비슷한 수준을 보였다. SA-${\beta}$-galactosidase 염색을 통하여 관찰한 세포노화 억제 효과는 ROS 생성 억제 효과와 유사한 경향으로 밤나무 잎 추출물의 농도 유의적으로 세포노화 억제를 관찰되었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 밤나무 잎 추출물은 산화적 스트레스로 인한 세포노화를 억제하는 효능을 보였으며, 이는 천연물에서 유래한 항산화 및 항노화 활성 첨가제로 활용도가 매우 넓을 것으로 판단된다.
