동슬래그 혼합 잔골재를 이용한 콘크리트의 물리적 특성 (Physical Properties of Concrete mixed with Fine Sand and Copper Slag)

  • Development of the construction industry generally exhausts natural aggregate. Hence it is problem to the lack of supply and quality deterioration, so the resource saving and protection of environment is made an effort through recycling by-product. This study presents that fundamental properties of concrete which used cooper slag as alternate sand of low fineness modulus and plan of cooper slag as concrete aggregate. Testing factors are concrete's slump, air contents, unit weight and compressive strength. The results of this study are as follows; (1) Concrete slump is generally satisfied with the condition but is inferior to the others in substitution rates 30%. Also air contents are 3.1-4.1% and go up according to increase substitution rate. (2) Unit weight increase in 1.1% as the mixing ratio of cooper slag argument 10%. (3) compressive strength of cooper slag concrete is similar to plain and especially higher 11-15% in W/C 45%, 50%. So it seems that aggregate mixed cooper slag is suitable to low water-cement ratio mixture.

  • In this paper, breakdown strength and time to breakdown are experimented under semiconducting layer/needle electrode in XLPE which is used for power cable insulator. Shape and scale parameters of obtained data are estimated using 2-parameters Weibull distribution. Life-time coefficient(n-value) using shape parameters for breakdown strength and time to breakdown tests is estimated. n-value of 1000 hour aged XLPE showed higher value than that of virgin XLPE. Increase of n-value is estimated by the stability due to removal of by-product and residue gas in XLPE by heating.

  • This study was performed to know effective control of crack occurred by hydration heat, restraint of multiplication of hydration heat, through mechanical test, strength test and crack control test using fluosilicate salt based anti-crack agent made from by-product during phosphoric acid manufacturing process. Mix proportions for experiment were modulated at 0.495 of water to cement ratio and addition amount of fluosilicate salt based anti-crack agent to $1.0\%$. Condensation time was late and compressive strength of hardened concrete cured at several days was executed to evaluate characteristics of crack control for concrete. It is ascertained that characteristics of crack control for concrete could be improved by an adequate addition of fluosilicate salt based anti-crack agent.

  • The use of the cement and increased with the recent development of the construction industry. If the cement is the environmental problems caused by generating a large quantity of CO2 and the production process. Accordingly, this study is the test to determine the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid resistance properties of the Light weight matrix product of blast furnace slag-based light. A result, the compression strength of the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid immersion showed alower strength than the Plain.

  • Admixtures for concrete placed underwater have been developed to the stage that they are now widely used. The use of this type of product allows concrete to be placed underwater with far less risk than was previously possible. One of the problems facing users of underwater concreting admixtures is how does one test such products in order to access their performance initially while minimizing the expense of carrying out site trials. This paper will introduce three categories of laboratory test for underwater concrete listed next : fluidity test, non-segregation test, strength test. Trial underwater concretes were ordinary Portland cement. Strength and workability development and segregation resistance properties of the concrete under the coexistence of some kinds of superplasticizer were studied for this laboratory tests.

  • In this study, we considered the characteristic of drying shrinkage from age of high strength concrete with garnet minute powder to be industry by-product. The factors of experiment are unit water content$(160kg/m^3)$, water-binder ratio(30, $35\%$), fine aggregate ratio(40, 42, $44\%$), admixture replacement ratio(0, 10, $20\%$), admixture type(garnet minute powder, fly ash, blast-furnace slag). We make a comparative study of shrinkage about concrete with a passage of age(1, 3, 7, 14, 28, 56, 91 days). As a result of experiment, we reach a conclusion as follow. In the same mix condition, as unit water content and fine aggregate ratio go up, the drying shrinkage ratio increase. In the drying shrinkage ratio according to admixture replacement ratio, it goes up when admixture replacement Ratio increase in case of fly ash and blast-furnace slag. But, drying shrinkage ratio decrease when admixture replacement ratio increase in case of garnet minute powder.

  • This application plan is hasty prepared with the actual condition in which the majority is reclaimed by the waste with the marine and the polysilicon sludge, that is the main raw material of the solar pannel support, does. In this research, by using OPC and Fly ash, the applicability as the blending material of the polysilicon sludge was analyze and it tried to contribute to the waste reduction afterward. The replacement ratio of the sludge was set to 5. 10, 15, 20(%) with the experiment based on the based test result and the air flow rate, liquidity, flexural strength, and compressive strength was measured. The liquidity was reduced in spite of as the replacement ratio of the sludge increased and the air flow rate increased.

  • Waste concrete powder(WCP) has been estimated with a great value-added material as by-product of waste concrete manufactured to fine and coarse aggregate for concrete, because it is able to utilized for cement clinker and concrete admixture. Experimental tests were performed as such plastic viscosity of paste, flow and compressive strength of mortar by surface area of WCP. As a result, flow and 28days compressive strength of mortar was decreased according to increased replacement ratio of WCP as compared to control mortar. Also, plastic viscosity of paste used WCP1 and WCP2 was decreased with increasing replacement ratio, but WCP3 was increased with increasing replacement ratio.

  • In the steel marking industry, most companies have adapted the continuous casting process, due to its economical benefit. Casting rolls are utilized for frictional drive and the transport of solidifying slap. Dimensional tolerances, mechanical stability, and surface condition of the casting rolls can affect both the surface and the internal quality of the product being cast. To overcome these problems, the industry now is focused on accelerating the rate of technological improvements. This study has been undertaken for the development of casting rolls overlaid materials (SAW FCW wire), with the addition of Vanadium and Molybdenum to the martensitic stainless steel, in order to increase tensile strength and hardness at elevated temperatures.
