전통지역의 형태 마감재별 경관 색채 특성 - 스웨덴 스톡홀름시의 실례를 대상으로 - (Townscape Color Character by Form Finishes of the Traditional Area - Focusing on Stockholm, Sweden -)

  • 연구의 방법에 있어서, 주변경관에 영향을 주는 경관구성 중 건축의 색채 설계 자료로서 건축 각 부위의 벽, 지붕, 창문, 출입문 상태를 수집하였다. 또한 3배색 이미지 맵을 활용해서 색채의 경향을 분류하였다. 도시경관의 구성요소인 지역별 주요거리의 각 대상지역에 사용되어진 색채의 성질을 색상, 명도, 채도로 나타낸다. 각 대상지역 사용 색채 경향의 특성을 찾아내고 분석한다. 본 연구에서는 경관 관리 측면에서 비교적 색채의 배경이 잘 되어 있는 스웨덴 스톡홀름시의 실례를 대상으로 경관 색채 특성을 파악하였으며, 특히 경관 색채의 배경을 만들어 가는 마감재의 색채 사용에 대한 실태를 조사하였다. 관찰조사를 한 대상 지역은 각각의 8개 지역과 주 거리 이름의 색채 사용에 대한 자료를 수집하여 색채를 성분별로 분류하였다. 마감재에 있어서 지붕의 강판 종류와 적벽돌 종류, 아스팔트 슁글 종류, 도료 종류, 타일기와 종류 등의 색채 사용의 경향을 조사하여 분석하였다.

도시가로 경관에 있어 환경조형물의 이미지 및 시각적 선호도 분석 (An Analysis on the Image and Visual Preference of the Environmental Sculpture in Urban Streetscapes)

  • The purpose of this paper is to discover the Image and Visual Preference of the Environmental Sculpture in Urban Streetscape. For this, the analysis was preformed by the data obtained from questionnaires and from the photos of the environmental sculptures scene. The landscape image was analyzed by the factor analysis algorithm. The level of visual preference was measured by a slide simulation test, and this data was analyzed by multiple regression. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: The visual preference of the environmental sculpture has been evaluated to average 4.03 on a scale of 7 Landscape slides No. 11 and No.5 were ranked more highly for visual preference. Factors formulating the landscape image were found to be 'beauty', 'orderliness', 'emotion', and 'formation'. By using the control method for the number of factors, T.V., were obtained as 63.0%. For all experimental landscape slides, the factor of orderliness was found to be the main factor determining the visual preference. The 4 factors for visual preference were analyzed by regression as follows: Visual Preference = 3.996 + 0.341(FS1) + 0.595(FS2) + 0.222(FS3) + 0.011(FS4), R-Square = 0.520.

도시이미지 향상을 위한 도시디자인의 평가체계 설정에 관한 연구 (Establishment of the Evaluation System of Urban-Design for the Improvement of an Urban-Image)

  • Regarding urban design in this 21st century, cities pursue human-oriented urban design through which nature, cities, and human beings are unified and interact with one another. For such urban design maintenance, it is needed to conduct systematic analysis and synthesis on various and complex factors of cities expressing urban images. Also, it is necessary to secure methods to evaluate those cities based on urban users' visual information. Thereupon, this study aims to suggest urban design evaluation methods which accept human behavior or needs and also allow us to figure out desirable images. For this, the study established the construction system of the most basic urban design components that form cities through literature review and expert evaluation. And it examines correlation among those factors with statistic means. Through this, the study suggests a new urban design evaluation system and evaluation process divided into experts and users so as to reflect user behavior or needs.

시선추적 실험에 따른 가로공간요소의 관심영역 분석 (An Analysis of AOI(Area of Interest) based on the Eye-Tracking Experiment according to Streetscape Elements)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze characteristics of street elements when pedestrians have a view in the street. The research was utilized eye-tracking experiment and two times survey before and after experiment. The experiment is composed as follows. The data collection was conducted two days period from March 30 to 31, 2017. There were 43 participants who were all male and undergraduate students. In the data recording, the stimulus image was presented 65 seconds on a 23-inch monitor. Prior to analyzing data, the images were represented into five elements of AOI(area of interest). The fixation rate was divided by a period such as 'fixation time' and 'fixation count' parameters. The results were additionally obtained by linking analysis with the area ratio of AOI, time series analysis, and questionnaire. First of all, both building signs and advertisement standing boards draws attentions in participants. From a comparison between fixation rate and survey, the data have negative perspective view. Second, the advertisement standing boards are more eye-catching than other elements regardless of AOI size. It shows the priority of elements what should be developed in the environment. Third, the pavement is rarely seen in the fixation rate. Fourth, the trees are not a long frequency but viewed as a positive element. People want to keep the natural site in the street. In summative research, this method of extracting eye movement data would be provided a foundation data for developing streetscape plan based on scientific factors.

지구단위계획상의 경관계획요소에 대한 심리적 반응 (The Psychological Reaction of Landscape Design Elements on the District Unit Plan(DUP))

  • The purpose of this study is to extract landscape design elements regulation of the District Unit Plan(DUP) in new town areas, and to find out characteristics in terms of urban design elements in comparison with the psychological and physical aspects. For this purpose, we reviewed urban design elements and design elements in terms of the landscape by DUP and analyzed the activation of landscape on the selected case-area by interviewing experts such as planners, public officials, and professors in the department of urban planning and landscape, as well as the university students. The analysis framework for the case-study consists of 4 components: the section of region, street, building, open space, etc. The new development areas in Daejeon Metropolitan City was chosen as the case study area, because they have been developed by DUP regulations. As a result of this study, we can extract characteristics of landscape. The results indicate that `skyline design',`view corridor design',`landscape design',`street furniture design' and `building design(form, height, color, and elevation)' are the key planning and design factors influencing differences in the landscape preference. This research identifies that there are no detailed planning and design guidelines adopted within the four case study areas in Daejeon for regulating the characteristics of skyline, planting and street furniture while detailed guidelines established for density, building height and site layout. Considering their significant correlation with the level of landscape preference, this study suggests that detailed planning and design guidelines for the characteristics of skyline, rooftop and streetscape should be established in future DUP.

도로경관 설계를 위한 감성요인 추출 방법에 관한 연구 (Abstraction Method of Sensibility Factors for Streetscape Design)

  • 경제성장과 함께 삶의 질이 향상됨에 따라 도로 계획 및 설계분야에서도 기능 중심의 설계에서 이용자들의 시각 및 심리적 특성인 감성을 고려한 경관 중심의 설계로 변화하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 다양하게 조사된 감성형용사들을 개인의 감성인지 특성 차이를 최소화 하면서 객관적이고 합리적인 추출 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 먼저 어의구별법(Semantic Differential)의 5점 척도에 의해 조사된 감성형용사를 바탕으로 기존 연구에서 사용한 요인분석과 본 연구에서 제안하는 판별분석을 통해 감성형용사를 추출하고 상관 분석을 통해 대표적인 감성형용사를 추출한 후 수량화 I 모형을 구축하였다. 그리고 구축된 수량화 모형을 이용하여 만족도를 예측한 후 실제 관측 만족도와의 쌍체비교 검증을 통하여 판별 및 상관분석에 의한 방법이 실제 관측 만족도와 가장 유사한 것으로 분석되어 연속적인 도로경관 설계시 판별 상관분석에 의해 적용가능한 감성요인을 파악하는 것이 적합한 방법임을 확인할 수 있었다.

Identifying Environmental Factors near Construction Sites Affecting Pedestrian Safety

  • Construction projects in urban areas often disrupt pedestrian paths and expose pedestrians to risks by forcing them to detour onto roadways. Despite rising pedestrian fatalities and injuries near construction sites, most research predominantly focuses on the safety of on-site workers, with limited studies addressing pedestrian safety. This study aims to fill this gap by identifying environmental factors that cause discomfort to pedestrians, potentially leading to hazardous impacts. A total of 252 photos of streetscape areas near construction sites, including seven environmental factors (i.e., traffic cones, fences, barrier walls, materials, heavy equipment, roads, and sidewalks), were collected and evaluated by 41 participants using a 5-point Likert scale. The survey findings indicate that barrier walls enhance pedestrians' perception of safety. Conversely, it is observed that traffic cones, materials, and heavy equipment have adverse effects on pedestrian safety. These results underscore the need for enhanced safety measures targeting these high-risk factors to create pedestrian-friendly construction sites. This study contributes to developing more proactive pedestrian safety management strategies and ultimately reduces pedestrian injuries.

울산광역시(蔚山廣域市) 공원(公園)·녹지(綠地) 및 도시경관(都市景觀)의 주민평가(住民評價) (A Study on the Residents' Evaluation of Open Spaces and Cityscape in Ulsan City)

  • This study aims to evaluate the Ulsan city residents' perception and satisfaction with open spaces and cityscape after consideration in the side of getting primary data for the city open spaces policy and Green Plan for Ulsan city. In this study, low data was gathered by questionnaires survey with stratified random sampling method. Questionnaires were designed by several sets of variables such as behavioral patterns, satisfactions for open spaces and user's demographic variables. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation and regression analysis. The main results of this study can be summarized as follows : 1. In overage the residents were slightly satisfied with park open spaces. There were good and poor park open spaces. in the perceptions of citizens as follows : 'nearby mountain and open spaces', 'rail side green area' were high satisfactory, and 'riverside', 'green qualities' were low in satisfaction. 2. In overage the residents were slightly satisfied with cityscape. There were good and poor cityscape in the perceptions of citizens as follows : 'nearby forest in and open spaces', 'night scape of an urban center' were high satisfactory, and 'streetscape', 'appearances of high-rise buildings' were low in satisfaction. 3. As a results of regression analysis predictable variables for satisfaction with Park and Open spaces were : 'open spaces by the public', 'open spaces by neighbor', 'grande open spaces', 'open spaces of residence'. 4. As a results of regression analysis predictable variables for satisfaction with cityscape were : 'Central Business District(C.B.D) and nearby mountain and open spaces', 'residence and streetscape', 'riverside and park green open spaces'.

가로경관이미지와 간판밀도와의 상관관계에 관한 연구 - 상업지역 연도건물의 간판 점유밀도를 중심으로 - (A Study on the correlation between a streetscape image and a signboard density - Focused on roadside buildings occupation density of signboard in the business area -)

  • 변화함이 있는 상업지역의 가로이미지는 연도건물의 정면이 만드는 파사드(Facade)에 의해서 맞은 영향을 받는다. 그러나 연도건물의 정면의 무분별하고 무절제한 광고간판의 난립으로 가로경관의 이미지가 혼란스러워지고 그 가로이미지를 상실하는 것이 현실정이다. 그러므로 가로경관 이미지를 형성하는데 많은 영향을 주는 연도건물의 간판에 대한 연구가 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구는 연도건물 정면의 간판 점유밀도의 조사와 분석을 통하여 현재 번화함이 있는 상업기역의 간판의 점유밀도 차이에 따른 가로경관 이미지를 알아내고, 그 지역 가로이미지에 특성을 부여하기 위해서 정면간판의 점유밀도를 어느 정도로 하는 것이 바람직한 것인가를 제안하는 것을 중심으로 연구하였다. 연구범위는 보행자나 차량의 통행량이 많은 번화한 상업지역의 가로를 연구대상으로 선정 하였다. 선정된 상업지역의 가로가 연도건물의 정면면적대비 간판의 점유밀도의 차이에 따라서 가로이미지가 어떻게 느껴지는지를조사 분석하였다. 우선, 가로이미지를 추출하기 위해서 경관이미지를 평가할 때 사용하는 형용사들을 사용하여 조사 분석한 결과 크게 2인자로 나뉘는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그 중 하나의 인자는 '인지성(認知性)의 이미지'이며 다른 하나는 '정감성(情感性)의 이미지'라고 명명하였다. 또 번화함이 있는 상업지역의 가로에서 인지성의 이미지가 높은 가로는 간판점유밀도가 $20{\sim}30%$정도이고 정감성의 이미지가 높은 가로는 간판점유밀도가 $50{\sim}60%$인 것을 갈 수 있었다 또, $30{\sim}50%$상이 점유밀도에서는 인지성과 정감성의 이미지를 동시에 느낀다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 번화함이 있는 상업지역의 가로에서 '인지성'과 '정감성'의 이미지가 조성되도록 간판점유밀도에 따른 파사드 안을 제시할 수 있으며 이러한 안을 바탕으로 상업지역의 가로경관의 이미지를 보다 구체적으로 특성화 할 수 있는 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

가로경관 조명설계를 위한 건축물 외관유형과 경관조명방식과의 상관관계모델 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Development of The Relationship Model of Building Facades and Exterior Lighting for Streetscape Design)

  • For lighting design in such diverse structures, we need lots of considerations, such as use and characteristics of the structure, harmony with its surroundings, and the function and type of lighting to be installed. The structural characteristics is determined by its shape and several vertical and horizontal factors based on the shape, which can be focused on at day time by shading, the surface structure, the quality of the surface and the color. On the other hand, they can be at night hidden in the darkness or enforced strongly by the effect of the lighting. In this paper, correlation between the ways of lighting and building facade types according to vocabularies for sensitivity is explored based upon an analysis of building facades for small-scale commerce which plays an important role in cityscape lighting design. It is considered that categorization of types of building facades, presented in this article, and the classification system of exterior lighting methods can be useful in planning lighting. And the process of the study is thought to be able to present a method about the exterior lighting planning. Furthermore, computer simulation on the bases of the correlation model of the lighting methods related to vocabularies for sensitivity about the building facade types is expected to be data and means which can be a great help for designers to predict various results quickly.
