In recent years, as there is growing concern with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), the strategic direction of business management is changing from maximizing shareholders wealth to maximizing stakeholders value. ESG is reshaping a corporation's supply chain management strategies. The purpose of this study is to explore the ESG challenges in supply chain management. As a result of network text analysis and topic modeling analysis on 3226 news articles, 'Suppliers', 'Sustainability', 'Shared Growth' 'Carbon Neutral', 'Safety and Health', 'Responsible Business Alliance', 'Supply Chain Due Diligence Law' were identified as the main issue. Since ESG initiatives in the supply chain are not limited to the efforts of individual firms, future research should focus on figuring out what difficulties and challenges exist in the diffusion of ESG practices along multi-tiered supply chains, and how to overcome them.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore areas that have been studied extensively in previous studies related to franchising as a platform for global distribution. Furthermore, franchising is a strategic distribution method that gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to replicate an established business model. In addition, franchisees benefit from the use of established branding and receive support from the franchisor. Research design, data, and methodology: This study used the Preferred Reporting Items Systematics Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method to analyse data from 2003 to 2023 in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. Results: A total of 79 articles were identified and analysed to see trends and related themes such as product distribution, business distribution, business strategy, emerging market, and franchising relationship. Also, publication trends by year related to franchises are also presented. Conclusions: Overall, the research trend related to franchising as a global distribution is well seen, and every year, many researchers begin to explore the topic of franchising as a method of distribution that can be explored from various aspects either quantitatively or qualitatively. Lastly, limitations and recommendations are made to provide guidance for future studies related to the topic broadly and deeply in enriching the findings.

Background: Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems are becoming more widespread in organizations. Consequently, their effectiveness has become a core topic for researchers. This paper evaluates the performance of the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series 18001 specification in certified companies in Iran. Methods: The evaluation is based on a comparison of specific criteria and indictors related to occupational health and safety management practices in three certified and three noncertified companies. Results: Findings indicate that the performance of certified companies with respect to occupational health and safety management practices is significantly better than that of noncertified companies. Conclusion: Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series 18001-certified companies have a better level of occupational health and safety; this supports the argument that Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems play an important strategic role in health and safety in the workplace.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyze Trade Structure after Korea and Colombia FTA, and identify its problems and suggest measures that can be taken by the government and corporations to reinforce economic cooperation. Design/methodology/approach - To improve the level of contribution of the study, an empirical analysis is necessary. However, due to limited data access, the study will approach the topic of trade relations between Korea and Colombia with various statistics and literature. Findings - First, there is an urgent need for changes in import-export goods between Korea and Colombia, as trade is focused on specific items. Second, although foreign direct investment from Korea to the Colombia is centered in manufacturing and wholesale & retail, there should be different investment strategies by industries. Third, it is necessary to reinforce commercial cooperation. Research implications or Originality - The Free Trade Agreement between Korea and Colombia entered into force in 2016. Under the agreement, both countries will eliminated all tariffs within ten years after it takes effect. Reinforcing economic cooperation with Colombia is extremely important for Korea in terms of entering and dominating Colombian market. However, there is still a lack of research on the Colombia, and corporations that aim to enter Colombian market face difficulties due to lack of information. This study analyzes the recent trends of problems of trade between Korea and Colombia and suggests solutions for boosting trade to provide proper strategic guidelines for Korea that are planning to expand to Colombian market.

This study aims to contribute to the initial research on on-device AI in an environment where generative AI-based services on mobile and other on-device platforms are increasing. To derive success strategies for generative AI-based chatbot services in a mobile environment, over 200,000 actual user experience review data collected from the Google Play Store were analyzed using the LDA topic modeling technique. Interpreting the derived topics based on the Information System Success Model (ISSM), the topics such as tutoring, limitation of response, and hallucination and outdated informaiton were linked to information quality; multimodal service, quality of response, and issues of device interoperability were linked to system quality; inter-device compatibility, utility of the service, quality of premium services, and challenges in account were linked to service quality; and finally, creative collaboration was linked to net benefits. Humanization of generative AI emerged as a new experience factor not explained by the existing model. By explaining specific positive and negative experience dimensions from the user's perspective based on theory, this study suggests directions for future related research and provides strategic insights for companies to improve and supplement their services for successful business operations.

Korea achieved its highest ever defense export performance in 2022. Defense exports are the most effective way to promote the defense industry by exporting Korea's weapons to foreign countries. In addition, to continuously supply excellent weapon systems, a solid defense industry must be established. So defense industry exports are an important issue at the national level, the Korea government is actively supporting policies for the Presidential office as a control tower. In particular, the topic of entry into the defense industry export big4 is being raised in Korea. As an innovative defense export promotion plan, this paper presents a strategic plan of joint research and development that export customized to the needs of purchasing countries and securing cutting-edge technology that can possess world-class weapon systems. In other words, in order to secure cutting-edge technology, the military must break away from existing methods and boldly select cutting-edge technology, provide sufficient budget support, and grant autonomy to development agencies. A rapid acquisition system must also be introduced so that this technology can be applied to advanced weapons in a timely manner. Export joint research and development is intended to promote flexible technology transfer excluding ultra-sensitive core technologies and to form strategic partnerships, taking into account the purchasing country's willingness to possess cutting-edge technology. Through this, we have helped Korea's defense industry exports enter the world's big4 through groundbreaking new strategy.

The recent patent wars in the information technology (IT) industry demonstrate the strategic importance of IT patents in the industry. In this paper, we adopt the lens of real options to study the value of IT patents for IT firms. Specifically, we examine the relationship between IT patents and firms' market performance. We also consider the moderating effect of the innovation orientation of firms' patent portfolios (exploitative vs. explorative). Based on a large panel dataset consisting of 697 firms in US IT industries, our results suggest that the impact of IT patents on firm value (as measured by Tobin's q) is positive and significant. Further, we find that this impact varies, depending on the innovation orientation of firms' patent portfolios. IT patent portfolios with higher levels of an exploitative orientation are associated with higher firm value, compared to those with a lower exploitative orientation. This study highlights the value of employing real options theory as the underlying mechanism in understanding the impact of patents on firm valuation. Future researchers can adopt the real options lens to identify and empirically examine the role of other factors that may affect the value of patents and other investments exhibiting real option characteristics. While our paper answers some questions about the value of patents in the IT industry, it also raises a number of additional new questions. As such, we hope that it will generate more research on this important topic.

The development of environmentally friendly products and services has become a trend, and the development and utilization of eco-friendly textiles with economic value is gaining attention as a new business model. Analyzing and identifying trends and developments in eco-friendly textiles can provide important information and insights for various stakeholders such as companies, governments, and consumers to help them achieve sustainable growth. For this study, we collected and analyzed data from newspaper articles mainly covering the textile and fashion sector from 2000 to June 2023. A total of 12,331 articles containing the keyword 'eco-friendly textiles' were collected, and after performing morphological analysis on the extracted data, Latent Dirichlet Allocation and Dynamic Topic Modeling analysis were performed to identify topics by year. The results of the study are expected to provide strategic guidance and insights for the sustainable development of the textile industry, thereby helping to promote the research, development, and commercialization of eco-friendly textiles.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between consumer reviews and managerial responses, aiming to explore the necessity of webcare for efficiently managing consumer reviews. We intend to propose a methodology for effective webcare and to construct a webcare model using machine learning techniques based on an audiobook platform. In this study, we selected four audiobook platforms and conducted data collection and preprocessing for consumer reviews and managerial responses. We utilized techniques such as topic modeling, topic inconsistency analysis, and DBSCAN, along with various machine learning methods for analysis. The experimental results yielded significant findings in clustering managerial responses and predicting responses to consumer reviews, proposing an efficient methodology considering resource constraints and costs. This research provides academic insights by constructing a webcare model through machine learning techniques and practical implications by suggesting an efficient methodology, considering the limited resources and personnel of companies. The proposed webcare model in this study can be utilized as strategic foundational data for consumer engagement and providing useful information, offering both personalized responses and standardized managerial responses.

This study aims to analyze policy changes over time by conducting a textual analysis of the basic plan for activating convergence research and development. By examining the basic plan for convergence research development, this study looks into changes in convergence research policies and suggests future directions, thereby exploring strategic approaches that can contribute to the advancement of science and technology and societal development in our country. In particular, it sought to understand the policy changes proposed by the basic plan by identifying the relevance and trends of topics over time. Various analytical methods such as TF-IDF analysis, topic modeling (LDA), and network (CONCOR) analysis were used to identify the key topics of each period and grasp the trends in policy changes. The analysis revealed clustering of topics by period and changes in topics, providing directions for the convergence research ecosystem and addressing pressing issues. The results of this study are expected to provide important insights to various stakeholders such as governments, businesses, academia, and research institutions, offering new insights into the changes in policies proposed by previous basic plans from a macroscopic perspective.
