고압용 코롬질화박막형 압력센서의 제작과 그 특성 (The Fabrication of Chromium Nitride Thin-Film Type Pressure Sensors for High Pressure Application and Its Characteristics)

  • This paper describes the fabrication and characteristics of CrN thin-film type pressure sensors, in which the sensing elements were deposited on SuS. 630 diaphragm by DC reactive magnetron sputtering in an argon-nitride atmosphere(Ar-(10%)N$_2$). The optimized condition of CrN thin-film sensing elements was thickness range of 3500$\AA$ and annealing condition(300$\^{C}$, 3 hr) in Ar-10%N$_2$ deposition atmosphere. Under optimum conditions, the CrN thin-films for strain gauges is obtained a high resistivity, ρ=1147.65 $\mu$Ωcm, a low temperature coefficient of resistance, TCR=186ppm/$\^{C}$ and a high temporal stability with a good longitudinal, 11.17. The output sensitivity of fabricated CrN thin-film type pressure sensors is 2.36 mV/V, 4∼20nA and the maximum non-linearity is 0.4%FS and hysteresis is less than 0.2%FS.

Experimental Study on Impact Loads Acting on Free-falling Modified Wigley

  • The characteristics of an impact load and pressure were experimentally investigated. Drop tests were carried out using a modified Wigley with CB = 0.56. The vertical force, pressures, and vertical accelerations were measured. A 6-component load cell was used to measure the forces, piezo-electric sensors were used to capture the impact pressure, and strain-gauge type accelerometers were used to measure the vertical accelerations. A 50-kHz sampling rate was applied to capture the peak values. The repeatability of the measured data was confirmed and the basic characteristics of the impact load and pressure such as the linearity to the falling height were observed for all of the measurements. A simple formula was derived to extract the physical impact load from the measured force based on a simple mass-sensor-mass diagram, which was validated by comparing impact forces with existing data using the mathematical model of Faltinsen and Chezhian (2005). The effects of the elasticity of the model and change in acceleration during the water entry were investigated. It is interesting to observe that the impact loads occurred and reached peak values at the same time duration after water entry for all drop heights.

비접촉 진동측정 시스템을 이용한 블리스크의 진동분석 (Vibration Analysis of Bladed Disk using Non-contact Blade Vibration System)

  • The blade vibration problem of bladed disk is the most critical subject to consider since it directly affects the stable performance of the engine as well as life of the engine. Especially, due to complicated vibration pattern of the bladed disk, more effort was required for vibration analysis and test. The research of measuring the vibration of the bladed disk, using NSMS(Non-intrusive stress measurement) instead of Aeromechanics testing method requiring slip ring or telemetry system with strain gauge, was successful. These testing can report the actual stresses seen on the blades; detect synchronous resonances that are the source of high cycle fatigue (HCF) in blades; measure individual blade mis-tuning and coupled resonances in bladed disks. In order to minimize the error being created due to heat expansion, the tip timing sensor is installed parallel to the blade trailing edge, yielding optimal result. Also, when working on finite element analysis, the whole bladed disk has gone through three-dimensional analysis, evaluating the family mode. The result of the analysis matched well with the test result.

  • 최근 컴퓨터 기술의 발달로 공공 분야에서 구조물 감시 시스템의 중요성이 대두 되고 있다. 현재 구조물 감시 시스템은 감지 능력, 데이터 처리, 피해의 양, 구조물의 상태 예상을 기본 목적으로 하여 운영된다. 기존 감시 시스템은 센서의 측정으로 얻은 데이터를 유선을 통해 기지노드로 전송한다. 유선으로 연결된 감시 시스템에는 많은 초기 설치비용, 네트워크 전송 케이블의 유실 문제와 같은 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 전송 장치, 센싱 보드, 무선 장치로 구성된 무선 네트워크 환경에서 동작하는 무선 감시 시스템을 구성하였다. 구현된 시스템은 하중에 따른 변화를 실시간으로 감시하므로 구조물의 안전성 향상에 기여한다.

FFT analysis of load data during field operations using a 75-kW agricultural tractor

  • Analysis of load data during field operations is highly important for optimum design of power drive lines for agricultural tractor. Objective of the paper was to analyze field load data using FFT to determine frequency and the energy levels of meaningful cyclic patterns. Rotary tillage, plowing, baling, and wrapping operations were selected as major field operations of agricultural tractor. An agricultural tractor with power measurement system was used. The tractor was equipped with strain-gauge sensors to measure torque of four driving axles and a PTO axle, speed sensors to measure rotational speed of the driving axles and an engine shaft, pressure sensors to measure pressure of hydraulic pumps, an I/O interface to acquire the sensor signals, and an embedded system to calculate power requirement. In rotary tillage, calculated frequency was decreased as travel speed increased. In baler operation, calculated frequency was increased as PTO speed was increased. The calculated peak frequency levels and expected levels were similar. Results of the study would provide information on power utilization patterns and on better design of power drive lines.

스트레스 모델을 이용한 터빈 축계의 비틀림 응력 예측 (Torsional stress prediction of turbine rotor train using stress model)

  • Torsional interaction between electrical network phenomena and turbine-generator shaft cause torsional stress on turbine-generator shaft and torsional fatigue fracture on vulnerable component, but the prediction of the torsional stress is difficult because the torsional stress is occurred instantly and randomly. Therefore continuous monitoring of the torsional stress on turbine-generator shaft is necessary to predict the torsional fatigue, but installing the sensors on the surface of the shaft directly to monitor the stress is impossible practically. In this study torsional vibration was measured using magnetic sensor at a point of turbine-generator rotor kit, the torsional stress of whole train of rotor kit was calculated using rotor kit's stress model and the calculated results were verified in comparison with the measured results using strain gauge at several point of turbine-generator rotor kit. It is expected that these experiment results will be used effectively to calculate the torsional stress of whole train of turbine-generator rotor in power plants.

Nd:YAG Laser 직접 각인을 이용한 Carbon 스트레인 센서 (Carbon strain sensor using Nd: YAG laser Direct Writing)

  • Nd:YAG Laser를 이용하여 polyimide film에 탄화(carbonization)를 진행하여 Carbon을 생성하여 저가의 센서를 간단한 제조과정으로 만들었다. 이를 통하여 유연한 저가형 압저항 센서의 특성에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 기존에 많은 연구들이 Polyimide에 $10.6{\mu}m$의 파장을 가지는 $CO_2$ laser를 이용하여 carbonization을 하여 센서를 제작하였다. 본 논문에서는 polyimide film에 $1.064{\mu}m$의 파장을 가지는Nd:YAG laser를 이용하여 carbonization(탄화공정)을 진행하였다. 또한 Nd:YAG laser를 사용하여 polyimide film위에 직접 탄화시키며 carbon을 생성하는 최적의 전력밀도($W/cm^2$)과 속도(scan rate) 조건 조합을 찾아 해상도를 높였다. $CO_2$ laser를 사용하였던 기존의 선행연구에서는 carbon생성의 최소 선폭이 $140{\sim}220{\mu}m$의 길이를 가졌지만, 본 연구에서는 카본의 생성되는 선폭이 $35{\sim}40{\mu}m$으로 축소시켰다. 이번 연구에서 제작된 센서의 초기 면저항은 $100{\sim}300{\Omega}/{\square}$ 이였다. 곡률 반경 21 R 로 인장을 하였을 때 저항이 30% 줄어들었고, 이를 통하여 계산된 게이지 팩터는 56.6이였다. 본 연구는 압저항 센서를 제조하기 위한 단순하고, 매우 유연하고 저렴한 공정을 제공한다.

광섬유 격자센서를 이용한 철도 판형교의 증속 실험 (Monitoring of a Steel Plate Girder Railroad Bridge with Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors)

  • 본 연구는 광섬유 브래그 격자 (fiber Bragg grating, FBG) 센서를 이용하여 보강이 실시된 철도판형교의 수직처짐을 산정하고 이를 통해 교량의 정적 및 동적 거동을 모니터링 하는데 목적이 있다. 7개의 센서로 다중화(multiplexing)된 FBG 센서 2쌍을 지간 12.9 m인 철도 판형교의 상부와 하부 플랜지의 표면에 부착하였다. 이렇게 수평 배치된 FBG 센서로부터 직접 곡률을 측정하고 기하학적인 처짐-곡률관계와 회귀분석을 통해 교량의 처짐을 유추하였다. FBG 센서의 정확도를 검증하기 위해 교량의 중앙 지점에 기존의 전기식 변형률 센서와 처짐계를 설치하였다. 교량의 거동을 측정하기 위해 열차 재하실험과 증속실험을 실시하였다. 증속실험은 열차의 속도를 10 km/h 에서 90 km/h까지 10 km/h 씩 증가시키며 교량의 동적 거동을 분석하였다. 측정 변형률을 비교한 결과 FBG 센서와 전기식 센서가 최대오차 7%이내의 우수한 상관관계를 보였으며, 본 연구에서 제안된 실험법으로 유추된 최대처짐을 처짐계를 이용한 결과와 비교하였을 때 5% 이내의 오차를 보였다. 따라서 철도판형교의 안전성 평가를 위한 처짐 모니터링 시 FBG 센서의 적용성이 우수하다고 판단된다.

Pre-processing of load data of agricultural tractors during major field operations

  • Development of highly efficient and energy-saving tractors has been one of the issues in agricultural machinery. For design of such tractors, measurement and analysis of load on major power transmission parts of the tractors are the most important pre-requisite tasks. Objective of this study was to perform pre-processing procedures before effective analysis of load data of agricultural tractors (30, 75, and 82 kW) during major field operations such as plow tillage, rotary tillage, baling, bale wrapping, and to select the suitable pre-processing method for the analysis. A load measurement systems, equipped in the tractors, were consisted of strain-gauge, encoder, hydraulic pressure, and radar speed sensors to measure torque and rotational speed levels of transmission input shaft, PTO shaft, and driving axle shafts, pressure of the hydraulic inlet line, and travel speed, respectively. The entire sensor data were collected at a 200-Hz rate. Plow tillage, rotary tillage, baling, wrapping, and loader operations were selected as major field operations of agricultural tractors. Same or different farm works and driving levels were set differently for each of the load measuring experiment. Before load data analysis, pre-processing procedures such as outlier removal, low-pass filtering, and data division were performed. Data beyond the scope of the measuring range of the sensors and the operating range of the power transmission parts were removed. Considering engine and PTO rotational speeds, frequency components greater than 90, 60, and 60 Hz cut off frequencies were low-pass filtered for plow tillage, rotary tillage, and baler operations, respectively. Measured load data were divided into five parts: driving, working, implement up, implement down, and turning. Results of the study would provide useful information for load characteristics of tractors on major field operations.
