비순차 회분식 공정-저장조 망구조 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of Nonsequential Batch-Storage Network)

  • An effective methodology is .reported for determining the optimal capacity (lot-size) of batch processing and storage networks which include material recycle or reprocessing streams. We assume that any given storage unit can store one material type which can be purchased from suppliers, be internally produced, internally consumed and/or sold to customers. We further assume that a storage unit is connected to all processing stages that use or produce the material to which that storage unit is dedicated. Each processing stage transforms a set of feedstock materials or intermediates into a set of products with constant conversion factors. The objective for optimization is to minimize the total cost composed of raw material procurement, setup and inventory holding costs as well as the capital costs of processing stages and storage units. A novel production and inventory analysis formulation, the PSW(Periodic Square Wave) model, provides useful expressions for the upper/lower bounds and average level of the storage inventory hold-up. The expressions for the Kuhn-Tucker conditions of the optimization problem can be reduced to two subproblems. The first yields analytical solutions for determining batch sizes while the second is a separable concave minimization network flow subproblem whose solution yields the average material flow rates through the networks. For the special case in which the number of storage is equal to the number of process stages and raw materials storage units, a complete analytical solution for average flow rates can be derived. The analytical solution for the multistage, strictly sequential batch-storage network case can also be obtained via this approach. The principal contribution of this study is thus the generalization and the extension to non-sequential networks with recycle streams. An illustrative example is presented to demonstrate the results obtainable using this approach.

We assume that any given storage unit can store one material type which can be purchased from suppliers, internally produced, internally consumed, transported to or from other plant sites and/or sold to customers. We further assume that a storage unit is connected to all processing and transportation stages that consume/produce or move the material to which that storage unit is dedicated. Each processing stage transforms a set of feedstock materials or intermediates into a set of products with constant conversion factors. A batch transportation process can transfer one material or multiple materials at once between plant sites. The objective for optimization is to minimize the probability averaged total cost composed of raw material procurement, processing setup, transportation setup and inventory holding costs as well as the capital costs of processing stages and storage units. A novel production and inventory analysis formulation, the PSW(Periodic Square Wave) model, provides useful expressions for the upper/lower bounds and average level of the storage inventory. The expressions for the Kuhn-Tucker conditions of the optimization problem can be reduced to two sub-problems. 계절형 ARIMA-Intervention 모형을 이용한 한국 편의점 최적 매출예측 (Optimal Forecasting for Sales at Convenience Stores in Korea Using a Seasonal ARIMA-Intervention Model)

  • Purpose - During the last two years, convenient stores (CS) are emerging as one of the most fast-growing retail trades in Korea. The goal of this work is to forecast and to analyze sales at CS using ARIMA-Intervention model (IM) and exponential smoothing method (ESM), together with sales at supermarkets in South Korea. Considering that two retail trades above are homogeneous and comparable in size and purchasing items on off-line distribution channel, individual behavior and characteristic can be detected and also relative superiority of future growth can be forecasted. In particular, the rapid growth of sales at CS is regarded as an everlasting external event, or step intervention, so that IM with season variation can be examined. At the same time, Winters ESM can be investigated as an alternative to seasonal ARIMA-IM, on the assumption that the underlying series shows exponentially decreasing weights over time. In case of sales at supermarkets, the marked intervention could not be found over the underlying periods, so that only Winters ESM is considered. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - The dataset of this research is obtained from Korean Statistical Information Service (1/2010~7/2016) and Survey of Service Trend of Korea Statistics Administration. This work is exploited time series analyses such as IM, ESM and model-fitting statistics by using TSPLOT, TSMODEL, EXSMOOTH, ARIMA and MODELFIT procedures in SPSS 23.0. Results - By applying seasonal ARIMA-Intervention model to sales at CS, the steep and persisting increase can be expected over the next one year. On the other hand, we expect the rate of sales growth of supermarkets to be lagging and tied up constantly in the next 2016 year. Conclusions - Based on 2017 one-year sales forecasts for CS and supermarkets, we can yield the useful information for the development of CS and also for all retail trades. Future study is needed to analyze sales of popular items individually such as tobacco, banana milk, soju and so on and to get segmented results. Furthermore, we can expand sales forecasts to other retail trades such as department stores, hypermarkets, non-store retailing, so that comprehensive diagnostics can be delivered in the future.

빅데이터를 활용한 골프웨어에 관한 인식 연구 (A Study of Perception of Golfwear Using Big Data Analysis)

  • The objective of this study is to examine the perception of golfwear and related trends based on major keywords and associated words related to golfwear utilizing big data. For this study, the data was collected from blogs, Jisikin and Tips, news articles, and web $caf{\acute{e}}$ from two of the most commonly used search engines (Naver & Daum) containing the keywords, 'Golfwear' and 'Golf clothes'. For data collection, frequency and matrix data were extracted through Textom, from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017. From the matrix created by Textom, Degree centrality, Closeness centrality, Betweenness centrality, and Eigenvector centrality were calculated and analyzed by utilizing Netminer 4.0. As a result of analysis, it was found that the keyword 'brand' showed the highest rank in web visibility followed by 'woman', 'size', 'man', 'fashion', 'sports', 'price', 'store', 'discount', 'equipment' in the top 10 frequency rankings. For centrality calculations, only the top 30 keywords were included because the density was extremely high due to high frequency of the co-occurring keywords. The results of centrality calculations showed that the keywords on top of the rankings were similar to the frequency of the raw data. When the frequency was adjusted by subtracting 100 and 500 words, it showed different results as the low-ranking keywords such as J. Lindberg in the frequency analysis ranked high along with changes in the rankings of all centrality calculations. Such findings of this study will provide basis for marketing strategies and ways to increase awareness and web visibility for Golfwear brands.

메인 메모리에서 선반입을 사용한 확장된 R-Tree 색인 기법 (An Extended R-Tree Indexing Method using Prefetching in Main Memory)

  • 최근 메인 메모리 기반에서 R-Tree의 성능을 개선하기 위해 캐시를 고려한 색인 구조들이 제안되었다. 이들 색인 구조의 일반적인 캐시 성능 개선 방법은 엔트리 크기를 줄여 펜-아웃(fanout)을 증가시키고 하나의 노드에 더 많은 엔트리를 저장함으로써 캐시 실패를 최소화하는 것이다. 그러나 이러한 방법은 갱신시 줄어든 엔트리 정보를 복원하는 추가 연산으로 갱신 성능이 떨어지고, 노드간 이동시 발생하는 캐시 실패는 여전히 성능 저하의 큰 문제가 되고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 메인 메모리에서 R-Tree에 선반입을 적용한 확장된 메인 메모리 기반 R-Tree 색인 기법인 PR-Tree를 제안하고 평가하였다. PR-Tree는 R-Tree의 근본적인 변형없이 노드 크기를 선반입에 최적화되도록 확장하고, 노드간 이동시 자식 노드를 선반입하여 캐시 실패를 최소화하였다. PR-Tree는 실험에서 R-Tree보다 검색 연산에서는 최대 38%의 성능 향상을 보였고, 갱신 연산에서는 최대 30%의 성능 향상을 보였고, 또한 노드 분할 연산에서는 최대 67%의 성능 향상을 보였다.

종합병원 환자 당뇨식의 찬반에 대한 심층적 분석 (The Indepth Analysis of Plate Waste for DM Diet Served in General Hospital)

  • The purpose of this study was to : (a) examine diabetic patients' sensory evaluation and food preferences, (b) analyze the portion sizes & plate wastes, (c) investigate the factors affecting plate wastes, and (d) determine the nutritional & mometary values of the plate wastes. A questionnaire for determining food preference and sensory evaluation was developed. Thirty-three diabetic patients who were hospitalized in Sanggye Paik hospital in Seoul were studied. Serving sizes and plate wastes were weighed by using an electric scale, and the CAN-Pro program was used to evaluate the nutritional value or the food consumed. The data were analyzed using the SAS package program for descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and the Pearson correlation. Using a five-point Likeu-type scale, the temperature s[ore ranged from 3.1 to 3.3 (1 : very poor, 5 : excellent), the preference store was 3.0-3.2 (1 : very dislike, 5:very like), the taste score was 2.9-3.2 (1 : very poor, 5 : excellent), and the amount of food served score was 2.8-3.0 (1 : too little, 5 : too much). Serving sizes were considered insufficient by patients because most of the DM diet was low in calories. Average plate waste for the DM diet was 26.2% of the total served, by weight, and was lower than that for patients consuming a normal diet, which was 30.3%, found in previous research. Those subjects who had been previously hospitalized and who wished to participate in a campaign for food waste reduction produced less plate waste than other groups (p<.05). Plate wastes of the DM diet were negatively correlated with taste, temperature, and preference, and were positively correlated with the amount served: however, these results were not statistically significant. It was found that diabetic patients consumed adequate levels of energy, protein, Ca, Fe, Vitamin B$_1$, Vitamin B$_2$, and niacin, but inadequate levels of Phosphorus, Vitamin A and Vitamin C. The plate wastes were calculated to be 26.2% of the total cost (₩ 3,489), which is ₩9l5. This represents a significant wastage of resources from the hospital. The results of this study could assist foodservice managers in both controlling food wastage, and improving the quality of hospital food services.

실시간 JPEG 입력 버퍼 아키텍처 (A JPEG Input Buffer Architecture for Real-Time Applications)

  • USB 카메라를 이용하여 PC 화상 회의를 할 때 image sensor에서 읽어드린 동화상을 USB를 통해서 PC로 전송하게 되는데 이 때 USB의 전송 속도의 제한 때문에 동화상의 압축이 필요하다. 동화상의 압축을 위해서는 많은 양의 메모리가 필요하므로 외부 메모리를 사용하는 것이 일반적이다. 동화상 압축 알고리즘은 여러 가지가 있지만 JPEG을 사용할 경우 동화상 프레임을 모두 저장할 필요는 없으며, JPEG 압축 엔진으로 일정한 속도로 들어오는 데이터와, JPEG에서 사용되는 데이터의, 순서의 불일치를 해결해주는JPEG 입력 버퍼만이 필요하다. JPEG 입력 버퍼는 읽고 쓰는 순서가 차이가 많이 나므로 double buffering을 사용하는 것이 일반적이지만 이 논문에서는 double buffering을 사용하지 않고 칩 안에 내장 되는데 문제가 없는 적은 메모리 요구량으로 구현하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 메모리 아키텍처를 사용하면 별도의 외부 메모리가 필요하지 않으므로 부품 감소에 의한 전체적인 비용 절감이 가능하다.

경구담낭조영술의 지방식에 관한 비교평가 (The Assessment of Gallbladder with Various Fatty Meal in Oral Cholecystography)

  • However, technical advances in ultrasono imaging have had a remarkable impact on the study of biliary system oral cholecystography is a contrast of the gallbladder which is very frequently performed even with the application of Extra Shock Wave Lithotripsy(ESWL) in clinical use. Oral GB requires a stringent preparation if it is to be fully successful and a considerable amount of time to complete all its procedures and its objects of the radiographs. 1) to obtain a firm diagnosis of the presence of gallstones. 2) to essess function of the gallbladder that is, its ability to concentrate and store bile. After a times sequence of X-ray exposures taken in various positions to show the gallbladder to be satisfactorily filled, the patient is given a fatty meal, for instances two eggs or a cup of milk. The gallbladder which is drained by the cystic duct stores and concentrates the bile and is stimulated to contrast and excrete the bile by hormone "cholecystokinin" secreted in the intestinal mucosa. To evaluate the effect of the fatty meal which caused the gallbladder to constrict and empty, and by so doing the contrast medium passes through the cystic and bile ducts which are shown in radiographs exposed from 15-30 minutes after the variety practice of fattymeal, such as soft-boiled 2 eggs, raw 2 eggs, 100g of peanuts, and 200ml of milk. If the concentration of the opaque medium in the gallbladder is adequate, then not only the size, shape and position of the gallbladder will be shown from firms taken at intervals, the rate of concentration of the opaque medium and of the emptying of gallbladder has been measured and analyzed.

확대에 최적화 된 영상 축소 방법 (Image Downscaling Method Optimized for Future Magnification)

  • 영상이나 동영상을 저장하거나 전송할 때 저장 공간의 크기나 네트워크 대역폭을 고려하여 고해상도 윈본 영상을 축소하여 저장, 전송하고 최종적으로 영상을 디스플레이 하는 과정에서 영상을 확대하는 경우가 실제 응용에서 빈번히 나타난다. 기존 연구들에서는 이런 경우 확대 영상의 화질을 개선하기 위해 영상 확대 과정을 개선하기 위한 연구가 많이 진행되었다. 본 논문에서는 이런 상황에서는 고해상도 원본 영상이 존재한다는 점에 착안하여 영상 확대 과정 대신 영상을 축소하는 과정을 개선함으로써 최종 확대 영상의 화질을 개선하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 특히 실제 하드웨어나 소프트웨어에서 널리 적용되는 선행 보간법, 삼차 보간법 등에서 확대 영상의 화소가 작은 영상의 화소값들의 선형 조합으로 나타난다는 점에 착안하여 영상 확대 과정을 선형 변환으로 모델링하고 최적 축소 영상을 만틀기 위한 역변환을 얻는 방법을 제안한다. 또한 역변환 과정의 계산량을 줄이기 위해 역변환과정을 간단한 필터 커널로 근사하는 방법을 제안한다. 결과적으로 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법으로 축소한 영상을 확대 복원하였을 때 기존에 사용되던 방법에 비해 상당한 화질 개선 효과가 있는 것을 실험적으로 확인하였다.
