Performance of the mobile devices greatly depends on the efficient resource management because they are usually resource-restricted. In particular, the dynamic storage allocation algorithms very important part of the mobile device's operating system and OS-like software platform. The existing dynamic storage allocation algorithms did not consider application's execution style and the type, life-time, and characteristics of memory objects that the application uses. Those algorithms, as a result, could not manage memory efficiently Therefore, this Paper analyzes the mobile application's execution characteristics and proposes anew dynamic storage allocation algorithm which saves the memory space and improves mobile application's execution speed. The test result shows that the proposed algorithm works 6.5 times faster than the linked-list algorithm[11], 2.5 times faster better than the Doug. Lea's algorithm[12] and 10.5 times faster than the Brent algorithm[14].

This paper describes an analysis of the stability and performance of a large-capacity flywheel energy storage system (FESS) supported by active magnetic bearings. We designed and manufactured the system that can store up to 5kWh of usable energy at the maximum speed of 18,000 rpm. In order to analyze the stability of the systems accurately, we derived a rigid body rotor model, flexible rotor model using finite-element method, and a reduced-order model using modal truncation. The rotor model is combined with those of active magnetic bearings, amplifiers, and position sensors, resulting in a system simulation model. This simulation model is validated against experimental measurements. The stability of the system is checked from the pole locations of the closed-loop transfer functions. We also investigated the sensitivity function to quantify the robustness of the systems to the disturbances such as mass imbalance and sensor noises.
A simplified dilutor for cock spermatozoa at ambient temperature was achieved by adjusting the 5% concentration of fructose in isotonic saline. Motility of cock spermatozoa was arrested completely for maximum 6 hrs without affection the survivability of spermatozoa by employing this sugar. To study the effect of high concentration of fructose on fertility, sperm were inseminated with or without fructose at different hrs. Fructose from semen samples was removed by centrifugation. High fertility obtained in the hens inseminated with fructose free sperm (washed). In addition, washed sperm maintained the 85.00% fertility for 6 hrs in winter season ($17-21^{\circ}C$) and 82.67% fertility for 3 hrs in summer season ($31-35^{\circ}C$). Whereas control groups showed 47.33 and 25.33% fertility in winter and summer season respectively. No significant difference was found in percent motility and live counts between the control and washed experimental groups during winter season. However, these measures differed significantly in summer. Washing of cock spermatozoa more than once, high speed centrifugation and more duration for centrifugation proved harmful to fertility. It may be concluded that fructose (5%) can be used as a motility or metabolic inhibitor of spermatozoa for short-term storage of cock semen at ambient temperatures.

Silicon nitride cantilevers integrated with silicon heaters and piezoelectric sensors were developed for the scanning probe microscope (SPM) based data storage application. These nitride cantilevers are expected to have better mechanical stability and uniformity of initial bending than the previously developed silicon cantilevers. Data bits of 40 nm in diameter were recorded on PMMA film and the sensitivity of the piezoelectric sensor was 0.615 fC/nm, meaning that indentations less than 20 nm in depth can be detected. For high speed operation, $128{\times}128$ cantilever array was developed.

Recently, the need for slim type optical disk drive(ODD) has increased with popularization of lightweight notebook. Because of its lightweight and small structure, slim type ODD has low structural stiffness and it is weak to high-speed disk vibration. In this paper, Finite Element(FE) Model of slim type ODD is constructed and verified by experimental modal analysis. Additionally, sensitivity analysis is performed about structural parameters. As a result of sensitivity analysis, improved characteristic is verified by experiments using a sample of new model.
The use of medical imaging in hospitals is being gradually increased as it is of utmost importance in treatment and diagnosis of patients. With the drastic increase of the usage of medical imaging in hospitals per day necessitates more speedy and accurate systems for precise diagnosis and the treatment. Hence the modality and development of network infrastructure are also need to be improved day by day and this trend may be continued. Thus there is a great need improvement of PACS concerned. In this paper, by using the computational grid technology, we design a medical image storage system that improve the compression speed, and implement a prototype as a part of PACS. We also demonstrate the performance improvement from experimental results of the prototype.
In liquids NMR, $^{1}H$ is the most widely observed nucleus, which is not the case in solids NMR. The reason is due to the strong homo-dipolar interactions between the hydrogen atoms which mask the useful chemical shift information. Therefore we must remove the strong homo-dipolar interactions in order to get structural information, which can be investigated by the isotropic chemical shift. There are two ways of obtaining it. One is the ultra-fast MAS of ca. 70 kHz spinning speed, which has become available only recently. The other way is devising a pulse sequence which can remove the strong homo-dipolar interaction. In the latter way, MAS with a moderate spinning rate of a few kHz, is enough to remove the chemical shift anisotropy. In this report, 1D-CRAMPS and 2D MASFSLG techniques are utilized and their results will be compared. This kind of highresolution $^{1}H$ NMR for solids, should become a valuable analytical tool in the understanding and the developing of a new class of hydrogen storage materials. Here ammonium borane $-NH_{3}BH_{3}$, whose hydrogen content is high, is used as a sample.

Storage air heater(SAH) is a general purpose facility that is used to simulate the high altitude condition of supersonic ground test facility, thurst compensation test of rocket engine nozzle and gas turbine engine combustor test. SAH in KARI is built to simulate the total temperature of the supersonic ground test facility which has a wide flight envelope from altitude 0km, Mach 2 to altitude 25km, Mach 5 and operates up to 1300K, 3.5MPa. In this paper, we introduces the SAH in JAXA which is model of SAH in KARI and summarizes the design process and manufacture of ours.
Memcached, commonly used to speed up the data access in big-data and Internet-web applications, is a system software of the distributed-cache mechanism. But it is subject to the severe challenge of the loss of recently uncommitted updates in the case where the Memcached servers crash due to some reason. Although the replica scheme and the disk-log-based replay mechanism have been proposed to overcome this problem, they generate either the overhead of the replica synchronization or the persistent-storage overhead that is caused by flushing related logs. This paper proposes a scheme of backing up the write requests (i.e., set and add) on the Memcached client side, to reduce the overhead resulting from the making of disk-log records or performing the replica consistency. If the Memcached server fails, a timestamp-based recovery mechanism is then introduced to replay the write requests (buffered by relevant clients), for regaining the lost-data updates on the rebooted Memcached server, thereby meeting the data-consistency requirement. More importantly, compared with the mechanism of logging the write requests to the persistent storage of the master server and the server-replication scheme, the newly proposed approach of backing up the logs on the client side can greatly decrease the time overhead by up to 116.8% when processing the write workloads.

As high-definition television(HDTV) broadcasting becoming more generalized, there have been many researches and developments about a large storage capacity and a fast data transfer rate in optical disk drives (ODD). Pickup actuators must have high flexible mode frequencies and large gain margins. Flexible modes are caused by the flexibility of moving parts in the actuator and a servo bandwidth is limited by them. As a result, the system becomes unstable for high-speed operations in high density reading and recording. In this paper, we suggest improved modeling method in considering of the bonding layer. And, the flexible mode frequency of actuator is improved by Design of Experiments of lens holder. The Magnet circuit is designed considering the relation with the moving part. Through improving the yoke design, the magnetic flux is changed and the DC tilt is reduced. Consequently, we designed an actuator which has a high flexible mode frequency and a large gain margins.
