Czochralski법으로 Er2O3이 첨가된 Near Stoichiometric 조성 LiNbO3 단결정의 성장 및 특성변화 (Growth and Variance of Properties Er2O3 Doped Near Stoichiometric LiNbO3Single Crystals by the Czochralski Method)

  • Czochralski법을 이용하여 Er$_2$O$_3$가 첨가된 near stoichiometric조성의 LiNbO$_3$ 단결정을 Z-축의 방향으로 직경 15~20mm, 길이 25-30 mm의 크기로 성장시켰다. X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD)을 이용하여 격자상수를 조사하였고, Fourier Transform-Infrared Spectrophotometer (FT-IR)을 통하여 흡수밴드를 관찰하였다. 또한 Electron Probe Micro Analysis (EPMA)를 이용하여 결정 내에 Er의 분포를 확인하였다.

  • In order to meet stringent future emission regulations, especially to reduce Particulate Matter (PM) and NOX, stoichiometric diesel combustion technology with a piezo group-hole nozzle injector is being researched for reduction harmful emissions. A new nozzle layout, namely a group-hole nozzle, which has one group of small orifices with a wide spray included angle was investigated to improve the efficiency of stoichiometric diesel combustion. From this point of view, the group-hole nozzle suggested by Dense Co. is an attractive candidate method applicable to stoichiometric diesel combustion. The group-hole nozzle concept is to reduce the injector nozzle hole diameters without sacrificing spray penetration by closely locating two holes. Experimental studies have proven that the spray from group-hole nozzles have similar spray penetration to that of a single hole with equivalent overall nozzle hole area, but the spray drop sizes (SMD) are reduced, aiding vaporization and mixing.

  • Micro-pulling down$({\mu}-PD)$법을 이용하여 직경 $0.8{\sim}1.0mm$, 길이 $30{\sim}35mm$의 ZnO가 첨가된 near-stoichiometric $LiNbO_3$, 단결정을 성장하였다. 성장된 결정의 결정구조를 powder x-tay diffraction(XRD) patterns으로 확인하였고, electron probe micro analysis(EPMA)를 이용하여 결정내 Zn 이온들이 균일하게 분포되었음을 확인하였다. 또한 2 mol% 이상의 ZnO 첨가시 $OH^-$ 흡수밴드의 특성이 크게 변화함을 관찰함으로써 ZnO 첨가량에 일치한 역치(threshold)가 존재함을 확인하였다.

금속티타늄분말의 질화반응과 산화반응에 관한 연구 (A Study on Nitridation and Oxidation Reaction of Titanium Powder)

  • The nitridation kinetics of titanium powder were studied by isothermal and non-isothermal (dynamic) methods in high purity nitrogen under I atm pressure. For the comparison with nitridation, the oxidation kinetics of titanium powder were also studied in dry oxygen at I atm pressure. An automatic recording electrobalance was used to measure the weight gain as a function of time and temperature. For the reaction with nitrogen, the nitride was formed at over $700^{\circ}C$. The reaction with nitrogen followed the parabolic rate law, and the activation energy was calculated to be 31 kcal/mol in the isothermal method (above $900^{\circ}C$). The non-stoichiometric TiNx has been synthesized by the nitridation at a proper temperature and time, followed by the homogenizing treatment above $1100^{\circ}C$. In comparison with the stoichiometric $TiN_{1.0}$ and the non-stoichiometric TiNx ($TiN_{0.5}$ and $TiN_{0.65}$), the hot oxidation characteristics of the former is superior to that of the latter. However, both non-stoichiometric nitrides make little difference in the hot oxidation characteristics.

인상 육성한 $Bi_12GeO_20$ 결정내의 $Bi_4Ge_3O_12$석출상 (Exsolution of $Bi_4Ge_3O_12$ in $Bi_12GeO_20$ Crystals Grown by Pulling Method)

  • Various crystal defects such as voids, inclusions dislocations, stacking faults and precipitates were observed in the Czochralski-grown Bi12GeO20 crystals. Particularly, precipitates were found in the whole crystals. The phase of these precipitates was identified as Bi4Ge3O12 by EPMA and transmission electron microscopy. The precipitates were produced by pulling rapidly from a non-stoichiometric charge. During the pulling of Bi12GeO20 crystals, the melt composition of stoichiometric charge was changed Bi-deficent with gradual volatilization of Bi2O3. Precipition of the second phase may have been affected by an abrube thermal stress. By adding excess Bi2O3 into the stoichiometric batch, the precipitation of Bi4Ge3O12 was suppressed. At a pulling speed of 2 mm/hr, clear and precipitate from crystals of Bi12GeO20 were grown from the melt of the Bi2O3 excess charge.

  • Titinium carbide $(TiC_x)$ was produced by self-propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS) method. The morphology and non-stoichiometric number of the SHS product were observed by scanning electron microscopy and neutron diffractometry, respectively. Tubular titanium carbide with hole inside was formed with different non-stoichiometric number (x), which value increased with combustion temperature.

  • 본 연구에서는 MONOS 플래시 메모리의 blocking oxide/trapping nitride, trapping nitride/tunneling oxide 계면 트랩을 구하기 위해 C-V 방법을 도입하였고, stoichiometric 조건을 만족하는 nitride와 silicon rich nitride를 trapping layer로 갖는 MONOS capacitor를 제작하여 각각의 interface trap 특성을 비교분석하였다. 보고에 따르면 silicon rich nitride는 stoichiometric nitride에 비해 다수의 shallow trap이 존재한다고 보고되고 있는데, 본 연구를 통해 이의 정량화가 가능함을 보였다.

  • Micro-pulling down법을 이용하여 $Nd_2O_3$가 첨가된 crack 등의 결함이 없는 화학양론조성의 $LiNbO_3$ 단결정을 직경 1 mm, 길이 30∼35 mm의 크기로 성장시켰다. Electron probe micro analysis를 이용하여 결정 내에 $Nd_2O_3$가 균일하게 분포되어있음을 확인하였다. 성장된 결정의 $Nd_2O_3$ 첨가에 따른 흡수 band를 관찰하였고 $Nd_2O_3$ 첨가량 변화에 따른 형광특성의 변화를 측정하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 사용되고 있는 산소센서의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 방법을 광역공연비센서처럼 공연비를 추정할 수 있는 방법을 연구한다. 그 방법으로 신경회 로망을 사용한 배기가스의 공연비 추정기(estimator)를 구성한다. 그리고 이 추정기 를 이용한 공연비 제어기를 설계하고 실제 MPI엔진에 적용하여 그 성능을 알아 보겠다.

용액연소합성에 의한 나노크기 물라이트 분말의 제조 (Preparations of Nano-scale Mullite Powder from Solution Combustion Synthesis)

  • In this study, the solution combustion method was employed to synthesize stoichiometric mullite, and hence the attrition process was employed to prepare ultrafine mullite particles with nano size. The thermal decomposition behavior and partial pressure of equilibrium species of both oxidizer and fuel were considered during solution combustion process. The synthesized product was mullite phase with 40 nm crystalline size, and the alumina contents of the product by TEM/EDS quantity analysis was 3.12$\pm$04 mole. The result showed that the synthesized mullite was almost close to the it's stoichiometric composition. For attrition process, the dispersion behavior of the mullite suspension was controlled and was comminuted with the condition of 800 rpm for 4 hours using 0.3 mm zirconia ball media. As a result of comminution, the mean particle size was 80 nm.
