This study investigated the capacity evaluation of composite beam of the end-reinforced concrete, the center steel with attached main-bar of stud-bolt welting and flange with main parameter, such as shear span depth ratio (a/d=1.5, 2.5, 3.5), reinforcing method, reinforcing length, and steel main-bar ratio. The test results are summarized as follows: As the RC section becomes longer, the capacity ratio of Vsrc, test/Vsrc, the gradually decreased, with the tendency of decrease being remarkably more than a/d=3.5. The reinforcing method showed superior result both vertically and horizontally. And, capacity increase ratio displayed tendency that main-bar fixing length is obvious in 0.15L, and underestimate experimental value usually in Vsrc, Eq(3)~(5) equation. The capacity estimation was proposed equation by regression analysis with change of shear span depth ratio and main-bar fixing, steel main-bar ratio.
In the preceding study, a series of results was presented according to factors like as attaching method of main bar, shear span to depth ratio, reinforcing method for different types of region among various factors, which could determine the properties of composite beams. Based on these results, this study was planned to investigate the structural behaviors of according to attaching method of main bar for composite beams(end-reinforced concrete(RC), center-steel concrete (SC)) varying ratio of tensile bar to steel mainly. Consequently, there were little difference according to attaching method of main bar. And as the ratio of tensile bar to steel increase, the efficiency of strength was high, but ductile capacity of beams could deteriorate. Therefore, to maximize the structural properties of composite beams, it was considered that the ratio of tensile bar to steel should be limited.

It is recognized that reinforcement corrosion is the main distress behind the present concern regarding concrete durability. In this study, to confirm corrosion of reinforced concrete affected by thickness of cover, kinds of surface coating, measured electric potential, ratio of corrosion area, weight reduction, corrosion velocity of steel bar under environment of complex deterioration. The results showed that an increase in age also increases corrosion of steel bar. Ratio of corrosion area is largely related to ratio of weight reduction. as well, corrosion of steel bar by thickness of cover is superior to l0mm thick than 20mm thick. It showed that an increase in thickness of cover prevent steel bar from deteriorating. The results of this study showed that corrosion velocity was affected by thickness of cover, kinds of surface coating. data on the development of corrosion velocity made with none, organic B, organic A, inorganic B, and inorganic A is shown.

Because of the different flexural rigidity between longitudinal and transverse direction, orthotropic plate theory may be suitable for describing the behavior of composite deck. The ratio of flexural rigidity between longitudinal and transverse direction affects the live load moment. Because of the ratio of flexural rigidity of concrete unfilled steel grid deck has a direct relationship with main bearing bar spacing, it is concluded that the study for the distribution factor which is effected by main bearing bar spacing and aspect ratio is needed. In this study, evaluate the live load moment of concrete unfilled steel grid deck using the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification and presents the distribution coefficient equation for concrete unfilled steel grid deck.

This paper aims at investigating the effect of steel ratio and the magnitude of edge-ratio on the mechanical characteristics of reinforced concrete ring sector plate. The influence of steel bars was taken into account by coupling stiffness matrix of the steel bar element with that of the concrete plate element without dealing with separate element of steel bar and by establishing the composite stiffness matrix, which leads to the desirable result which does not increase th number of element could be obtained. Through case studies with 6 cases various steel ratios in ring sector plate supported at four edges and 4 cases with different open angles, the influence of the steel ratio was examined. A numerical analysis to find out the effect of the steel ratio d ue to above mentioned cases was carried out by 4 boundary conditions ; all edges clamped (B.C-1), all edges simply supported (B.C-2), curvilinear two edges clamped and other edges free (B.C-3) and curvilinear two edges simply supported and other edges free(B.C-4). The main results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. The effect of steel ratio on the magnitude of lateral deflection and x-directional bending moment at the center of sector plate and the midpoint of outer and inner curvilinear edges is almost the same up to $30^{\circ}$ of open angle. Beyond $30^{\circ}$ of the angle, the larger the angle, the greater the effect of ratio. 2. In design works using balanced steel ratio, the effect of steel bar can be ignored. But for larger open angles, especially greater than $90^{\circ}$, it proves desirable to consider the effect of steel bar. 3. The effect of the arc length of center circle/straight edge on lateral deflection and bending moment is remarkable in B.C-2. For larger open angle, the effect is also noted except for B.C-3 which turn out hardly affected. 4. The effect of the radius of curvature/straight side length on lateral deflection and x-directional bending moment is noted in B.C-2. As open angle increases, B.C-1 and B.C-3 almost agree and B.C-2 approaches B.C-4.

In this study, the problem of strengthening of reinforced concrete (RC) columns by a central steel section with minimum amount is taken up. For this purpose, RC columns with central reinforcing elements such as a steel bar, a steel H section and a steel pipe were taken up. To certify the effect of this way of reinforcing, experimental study using specimens of RC columns of shear span ratio of 2.5 was carried out. The variables which are considered to affect the behavior of RC columns subjected to axial load and cyclic shear load are the magnitude of axial load, tie ratio and main bar ratio. As the results of this study, the effect of a central reinforcing element for making higher the earthquake resistant properties of RC columns were observed.

Generally, reinforced concrete is one of the most commonly used structural materials and it prevents corrosion of steel bar by high pH of interior, But, as time elapsed, reinforced concrete structure become deteriorated by many of combined deterioration factors and environmental conditions. And, there are large number of deteriorate mechanism of the reinforced concrete structure and it acts complexly. It is recognized that steel bar corrosion is the main distress behind the present concern regarding concrete durability. In this study, to institute combined deterioration environments, established acceleration condition and cycle for combined deterioration environments has a resemblance to environments which are real structures placed. After that to confirm corrosion properties of reinforced concrete due to permeability with covering depth and types of surface cover under combined deterioration environments, measured carbonation velocity coefficients, chloride ion diffusion coefficients, water absorption coefficients, air permeability coefficients and electric potential, corrosion area ratio, weight reduction, corrosion velocity of steel bar. The results showed that an increase in age also decrease carbonation velocity coefficients, increase Chloride ion diffusion coefficients and increases water absorption coefficients. As well, an increase in age also increases corrosion of steel bar. Data on the development of corrosion velocity of steel bar with types of surface cover made with none, organic B, organic A, inorganic B, and inorganic A is shown. As well, permeability and corrosion velocity of steel bar with covering depth is superior to 10mm than 20mm. And it is confirmed permeability and corrosion properties of steel bar are closely related.

In this study, analyzed the effective width of concrete unfilled composite steel grid deck which has different shear connector details from that of composite bridge. The effective width of concrete unfilled composite steel grid deck according to effective width calculation method, load size and main bearing bar spacing-span ratio was evaluated. As a result of analysis, it is analyzed that the effective width is calculated to be nearly equal to the actual effective width by idealizing the stress shape as a trapezoidal shape. In addition, shear hole penetration reinforcing bars applied to increase the shear strength is shown to increase the effective width. From the results of the analysis of the effective width according to main bearing bar spacing-span ratio, proposes the correction factor that can calculate the effective width ratio of the unfilled steel composite steel grid deck.

In recent years, conskderable interest has developed in the fatigue strength of reinforced concrete members subjected to cyclic loading for the wide-spread adoption of ultimate strength design poecedures, the higher strength materials and the new recognition of the effect of repeated loading on structures such as bridges, concrete pavementes and offshore structures. In this study, a series of experiments is carried out to investigate the fatigue characteristics of deformed bars and underreinforced simply supported beams. The 69 reinforcing bar specimens with grade SD30 and designation of D16, D22, D25, and 24 beam specimens with D16 bars are prepared for this study. From these series of tests, it is found that I) a decrease of the bar deameter result in increased fatigue life, ii) the fatigue life of the bars embedded as main reinforcement within a concrete is more than that of bars in the air. iii) the fatigue strength at 2$\times$106 cycles of beams with steel ratio of 0.61% and 1.22% is 64.5% and 63.2% of the yielding strength, restectively. It is concluded that the low steel ratio has no significant effect on fatigue strength of underreinforced beams and the fatigue life of underreinforced concrete beams can be predicted conservatively by the fatigue life lf reinforcing bar.
