전동력설비의 운전에 의해 발생되는 자계의 측정과 해석 (Analysis and Measurement of the Magnetic Fields Cause by Operation of Electromotive Installations)

  • 본 논문은 유도전동기의 운전조작시에 발생되는 자계변화특성에 대하여 기술하였다. 본 측정시스템은 자기적분형 자계센서, 증폭기, 능동형 적분기로 이루어졌으며, 교정실험에 대한 측정계의 주파수대역과 감도는 각각 20[Hz]~0.234[mV/$\mu$T]이다. 유도전동기의 기동과 정상운전중에 발생하는 자계성분을 측정하였으며, 고조파 성분을 고속 푸리에 변환기법으로 분석하였다. 유도전동기의 직입기동시에는 단일성 펄스자계가 강하게 발생하였으며, 이의 피크치는 정상상태의 값보다 5배이상 크게 나타났다. 이러한 긴 과도시간과 강한 자계의 세기는 전동기의 큰 인덕턴스와 동특성에 기인된다. 유도전동기의 정상운전시에는 유도전동기의 극수에 의존하는 기본파에 대한 분조파의 자계성분이 관측되었다. 또한, 자계의 분조파 성분은 전동기의 토크 변동으로 불균일한 회전토크로 인해 생기는 맥동전류와 전압플리커에 의해서 발생하는 것으로 생각된다. 인버터구동형 유도전동기에서는 직입기동에 비하여 많은 고조파 성분이 발생되고 있었으며, 특히 전동기의 구동주파수가 낮을수록 맥동토크에 의한 전류변화로 고조파 성분은 더욱 증가하였다.

Statistical process control of dye solution stream using spectrophotometer

  • The need for statistical process control to check the performance of a process is becoming more important in chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This study illustrates the method to determine whether a process is in control and how to produce and interpret control charts. In the experiment, a stream of green dyed water and a stream of pure water were continuously mixed in the process. The concentration of the dye solution was measured before and after the mixer via a spectrophotometer. The in-line mixer provided benefits to the dye and water mixture but not for the stock dye solution. The control charts were analyzed, and the pre-mixer process was in control for both the stock and mixed solutions. The R and X-bar charts showed virtually all of the points within control limits, and there were no patterns in the X-bar charts to suggest nonrandom data. However, the post-mixer process was shown to be out of control. While the R charts showed variability within the control limits, the X-bar charts were out of control and showed a steady increase in values, suggesting that the data was nonrandom. This steady increase in dye concentration was due to discontinuous, non-steady state flow. To improve the experiment in the future, a mixer could be inserted into the stock dye tank. The mixer would ensure that the dye concentration of the stock solution is more uniform prior to entering the pre-mixer ow cell. Overall, this would create a better standard to judge the water and dye mixture data against as well.

  • The purpose of This paper is the optimal design of a single-phase LSPM(Line-Start Permanent magnet Motor). A single-phase LSPM has a permanent magnet in the rotor that is same as induction motor. For that reason, the transient characteristics are very different from an induction motor Therefore, we need the PM design to consider a transient and steady- state characteristics. In this paper, we designed a single-phase LSPM that has a high power and a good starting characteristics, and analyzed the performance of designed LSPM by varying each parameters. Finally, we examined and compared the simulation results and the prototype motor's characteristics.

  • In 22.9kV underground distribution system, power cables are provided with multiple-point ground in which each neutral line of the distribution cable(A, B, C phases) and three-wire common grounded at every connecting section. But in such grounding methods, circulating current flows between the neutral wire and grounding wire. And power loss due to circulating current also occurs in all conductors. Therefore it is getting necessary reducing circulating current in underground distribution system. This paper presents improved grounding method to overcome such problems. The proposed grounding method eliminates circulating current in the neutral line effectively and is verified that there is no electrical problem or any ineffectiveness of operating protection systems. These analyses are carried out by EMTP/ATPDraw to compare each grounding methods in steady and transient state. This grounding method suggested in this paper can be applied on real distribution system after field tests considering elimination of circulating current was implemented.

  • Amoving aeration-membrane (MAM) bioreactor was employed for the production of 2$\mu$g/mL of tissue type Plasminogen Activator (tPA)in serum free medium from normal human fibroblast cells. This system could maintain high cell density for long periods of steady state conditions in perfusion cultivation. Under normal operating condition, shear stress was as low as 0.65 dynes/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at the agitation speed of 80 rpm. Even though cell density gradually decreased with increasing agitation speed, tPA production increased linearly with increasing shear stress within a moderate range. This culture system allowed production of 2$\mu$g tPA/mL while maintaining a high cell denisty of 1.0$\times$107 viable cell/mL.

외부가압 공기윤활 저어널베어링의 안정성에 관한 해석 (An Analysis of the Stability of Externally Pressurized Air-Lubricated Journal Bearings)

  • The threshold of instability for a rigid rotor supported in externally pressurized airlubricated circular or non-circular journal bearings of finite length is theoretically analyzed. The analysis is performed for a bearing having one feeding plane, no recess volume, which is assumed to be a line source, and is based on a first order perturbation of journal center motion about steady state position. And then linearized system dynamic analysis is carried out. Numerical results are given, showing the threshold of instability as a function of supply pressure ratio, feeding parameter and load. It is shown that the region that 2-lobe bearing is more stable than circular bearing exists and whirl ratio of 2-lobe bearing is less than that of the other types of bearing.

Loss Minimization Control for Induction Generators in Wind Power Systems Using Support Vector Regression

  • In this paper, a novel algorithm for increasing the steady state efficiency during light load operation of the induction generator that integrated with a wind power generation system is presented. The proposed algorithm based on the flux level reduction, where the flux level is estimated using Support-Vector -Machines for regression (SVR) for the optimum d-axis current of the generator. SVR is trained off-line to estimate the unknown mapping between the system's inputs and outputs, and then is used online to calculate the optimum d-axis current for minimizing generator loss. The experimental results show that SVR can define the flux-power loss accurately and determine the optimum d-axis current value precisely. The loss minimization process is more effective at low wind speed and the percent of power saving can approach to 40%.

  • The paper deals with the design and evaluation of a new static-exciter for generator excitation systems to improve the steady-state and transient stabilities. It increases or maintains the generator field current by boosting the field voltage in the case of an input AC line voltage drop during and immediately after a fault. The validity of the proposed excitation system is verified with computer simulation. The simulation results of the stability analysis on the generator with the proposed exciter is better than that of a conventional static exciter and a conventional AC exciter. Also, this proposed exciter can be simply implemented and controlled by modern power electronics technology.

입구 안내익 영향으로 인한 원심 압축기 성능특성 시험연구 (Experimental Study on the Effect of Inlet Guide Vane of a Centrifugal Compressor)

  • This paper reports an experimental investigation on a centrifugal compressor with the adjustable inlet guide vane. The compression system is composed of a radial impeller, a vaneless diffuser, and an IGV. The results have shown that surge line on the performance map is affected by the amount of prewhirl and the prewhirl has an effect on transient region between rotating stall and surge. The surge lines have been shifted toward the lower flow region with the increased positive prewhirl and the higher flow region with the increased negative prewhirl. During the unsteady performance test, it was also found that the transient region was reduced with the increased negative prewhirl, and weak signals of rotating stall were detected just before surge as the positive prewhirl was increased.

매트릭스 블록선형유동에 관한 이중공극 모델 (Dual-Porosity Models with Linear Flow Pattern)

  • 본 연구에서는 이중공극매체(정상류의 이중공극매체와 부정류의 이중공극매체)내에 중요한 수직구조대(단충이나 균열대)가 존재할 때, 이 수직구조대내에 위치하는 양수정으로부터 양수에 따른 이중공극매체의 균열단위내 선형유동에 대한 이론을 다루었다. 이때 수직구조대는 무한소 또는 일정 너비를 가지며, 수직구조대의 수리전도도는 매우 크고, 비저유율은 매우 작은 것으로 가정한다. 이와 같은 선형유동의 경우에 양수정과 관측정에 대한 이론곡선이 제시되었다. 양수정의 이론곡선은 우물저장효과와 미소한 두께의 우물손실효과를 고려한 곡선이며, 관측정의 경우는 선원해(line source solution)에 의한 이론곡선이다.
