양측 여자형 다분할 LDM의 특성해석 (Characteristics Analysis of Double Side Excitation Type Multi-separated LDM)

  • 산업의 발달에 따라 선형 직류 모터의 용용이 확대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 가동차석형 양측식 다분할 여자 LDM의 해석을 연구대상으로 하였다. 본 LDM의 구조에서 가동자는 큰 추력을 얻도록 영구지석 6개를 사용하였으며, 고정자는 철심의 포화를 억제 하도록 다 분할형 권선을 성층하였다. 또한 양측 여자 권선은 지그재그형으로 성 층하여 추력의 리플을 억제하고, 정추력을 발생할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 여기에 다 분할시 영구자석대 권선 폭의 비가 중요하므로 본 연구에서는 똑비를 1 : 1, 1 : 0.84 및 1 : 0.5의 3개 부분으로 나누어 해석하였다. 해석 방법은 복잡한 수치해석의 유한요소법 보다는 퍼미언스 및 자기저항 법을 이용하여 파라며터를 계산하였다. 제작된 실험장 치를 통하여 추력을 측정한 결과는 전 변위에 대해서 정추력이 발생함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 최근 각종 산업기기 및 자동화기기에는 회전자가 영구자석으로 구성된 브러시리스 전동기의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 회전자가 영구자석으로 이루어진 BLDC 전동기의 경우 회전자 위치 판별 센서는 필수 요소이다. 그러나 센서(엔코더, 레졸버등)를 사용할 경우 크기 증가, 비용 상승 등의 원인으로 작용한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 PM BLDC 전동기의 속도제어를 수행함에 있어 기존의 엔코더와 Hall-IC 3개를 이용하지 않고, 두개를 이용하여 회전자의 위치를 판별함과 동시에 속도 센서를 대신하여 사용할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 그 결과 성능은 동일하고, 구동회로의 크기와 제조 단가를 낮출 수 있는 효과를 얻었다.

  • A method for the time step analysis of single phase induction motors is proposed. The unknown variables in differential equations are the currents flowing through rotor bars. They are coupled with the distributed magnetic flux densities in the airgap instead of inductance matrix while applying Kirchhoff's and Faraday's induction laws. Two patterns for magnetic flux densities are necessary. One is given by ideal stator winding distribution. the other is produced by currents flowing a rotor bar with unit magnitude and is calculated by FEM. Formulated set of equations are solved for a simple three phase and single phase example model and the resultant speed torque curve is shown in this paper.

  • This paper describes a performance analysis of self-excited eddy current brake(SECB). Stator winding of SECB is connected by capacitor instead of voltage source, and SECB's braking force is generated by L-C resonance. SECB has wide range of driving and nonlinear inductance as well. Therefore, it is important to select capacitance based on the value of inductance. This paper discusses about the process of deciding capacitance and the change of resonance frequency based on the inductance change in each speed. Also the braking force was confirmed by the experimental model of SECB.

  • Design characteristics of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors are induced. In order to maximize the efficiency of the motor, the objective function is taken stator winding and core losses. And using Sequential Unconstrained Minimization Technique, the dimensions of the motor are obtained which minimize the objective function. Characteristics of the motor which is designed as above are compared with the conventional one.

  • A down-scaled simulator is developed to simulate typical faults in induction motor such as short-turn stator winding, broken rotor bar, dynamic and static air-gap eccentricity, bearing trouble, and mechanical unbalance. The simulator is used as an initial builder to develop design algorithm for real-time faults detecting system by processing an abnormal signal and characteristics in each fault.

  • This paper deals with the thrust calculations and the measurements of a cylindrical Linear Oscillatory Actuator (LOA) sing Transfer Relations Theorem (TRT), namely, Melcher's methodology. Using transfer relations derived in terms of a magnetic vector potential and a two-dimensional (2-d) cylindrical coordinate system, this paper derives analytical solutions for the magnetic vector potential, magnetic fields due to Permanent Magnets (PMs) and stator winding currents and the thrust. The analytical results are validated by non-linear Finite Element (FE) analyses. In particular, test results such as thrust and back-emf measurements are given to confirm the analysis.

  • The rotational loss is one of the most important problems for the practical use of the high power Flywheel Energy Storage System (FESS). This rotational loss is divided as the mechanical loss by windage and bearing and iron loss by hysteresis loop and eddy current in the part of the magnetic field. So, In this paper, a double-sided PMSM/G without the iron loss is designed by analytical method of the magnetic field and estimation of the back-EMF constant represented as the design parameter. This design model consists of the double-sided PM rotor with Halbach magnetized any and coreless 3-phase winding stator. The results show that the double-sided PMSM/G without iron loss can be applicable to the high power FESS.

  • This paper deals with the design of an 870 krpm class high-speed permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) applied to micro turbine system. Since space where the high-speed PMSG coupled with the micro turbine occupies in the system is strictly limited, the work described in this paper is motivated by the desire to make maximum output power of the generator considering the rotor and stator structures, winding methods and bearing system under restricted space.

  • Most of the loads in industrial power distribution systems are usually balanced and connected to three power systems. However, in the user power distribution systems, partial loads are single & three phase and unbalanced, generating voltage unbalance by the impedance mismatching. Voltage unbalance has detrimental effects on three-phase induction motors, including over heating, line-current unbalance, derating, torque pulsation, low efficiency, etc. This paper presents a scheme on operation states of a three-phase induction motor under the unbalanced voltages with harmonics components. Three-phase voltages applied to the stator winding of the studied induction motor are controlled by respectively adjusting not only fundamental but also harmonics components. Harmonic components at the voltage unbalanced factor(VUF) of the three-phase source voltages can then be examined the different values of VUF on machine's operation characteristics.
