Purpose: This article focuses on the reviewing the papers published in the Journal of the Korean Society for Quality Control (JKSQC) and the Journal of the Korean Society for Quality Management (JKSQM) since 1965, in the area of design of experiments. In this paper, moreover, some other contents of another statistical quality control areas is included. Methods: The reviewed articles are classified into the three main categories: theory and application of experimental designs, response surface methodology and mixture experiments, and roust designs. Some omitted papers in the other areas of reviewing works are also included in this paper, and the contents and relationships of the published articles are examined and summarized in each sub-field. Results: We summarize the reviewed papers in the chronological road-maps for each sub-field, and outline the relations of the connected papers. We provide comments on the contents and the contributions of the reviewed papers. The future direction of the research in the theory and application areas of experimental designs can be provided by the contents of this research. Conclusion: The diverse topics on the improving the quality in the various industry fields are studied and published on the theory, methodology and the empirical application in the fields of designs of experiments. We can see that the Korean Society for Quality Management (KSQM) has tremendously contributed on the improvement of quality in the manufacturing and service industries by publishing the reviewed articles in this paper.

Purpose: This research reviews the papers, published in the Journal of the Korean Society for Quality Control (KSQC) and the Journal of the Korean Society for Quality Management (KSQM) since 1965, in the area of statistical methods. The literature review is performed in the four fields of the statistical methods and we categorize the published articles into the several sub-areas in each field. Methods: The reviewed articles are classified into the four main categories: probability model and estimation, Bayesian analysis and non-parametric analysis, regression and time series analysis, and application of data analysis. We examine the contents and relationships of the published articles of the several sub-areas in each category. Results: We summarize the reviewed papers in the chronological road-maps for each sub-area, and outline the relations of the connected papers. Some comments on the contents and the contributions of the reviewed papers are also provided in this paper. Conclusion: Various issues are employed and published on the research of the application statistical methods for past 50 years, and many worthy works are achieved in the theory and application areas of statistical methods for improving quality in the manufacturing and service industries. The future direction of the research in the statistical quality management methods also can be explored by the contents of this research.

Methods and Material: The PubMed database was used for retrieving data on 'cancer biology.' Articles were downloaded from the years 2000 to 2011. The articles were classified chronologically and transferred to a spreadsheet application for analysis of the data as per the objectives of the study. Statistical Method: To investigate the nature of growth of articles via exponential, linear, and logistics tests. Result: The year wise analysis of the growth of articles output shows that for the years 2000 to 2005 and later there is a sudden increase in output, during the years 2006 to 2007 and 2008 to 2011. The high productivity of articles during these years may be due to their significance in cancer biology literature, having received prominence in research. Conclusion: There is an obvious need for better compilations of statistics on numbers of publications in the years from 2000 to 2011 on various disciplines on a worldwide scale, for informed critical assessments of the amount of new knowledge contributed by these publications, and for enhancements and refinements of present Scientometric techniques (citation and publication counts), so that valid measures of knowledge growth may be obtained. Only then will Scientometrics be able to provide accurate, useful descriptions and predictions of knowledge growth.

In this study, the major tendencies of divorce as represented in articles of Korea's major daily newspapers from the 1940's to the 1990's were explored. The method used for this study was content analysis, and 1,741 articles related to divorce were selected for analysis from the Chosun and Donga. The main categories and subcategories were classified as attitude toward divorce(negative, accepting, neutral), present condition of divorce(statistics, survey, analysis), cause of divorce(marital conflict, conflict with family, health-related troubles, financial troubles, and others), and information offered about divorce(related-laws, prevention and adaptation, and others). The major findings of this study were as follows. 1) The most frequently found category was information offered about divorce, and the following categories were featured in the newspapers in the order of cause of divorce, present condition of divorce, and attitude toward divorce. 2) The major discussions of divorce as represented in articles of Korea's daily newspapers from the 1940's to 1990's have been reflecting the changes of related laws, policy and legislation in our society. 3) The content analysis of newspaper articles on divorce indicated that concepts of marriage, divorce and family in our society have been diversified.

In this study, the major tendencies of divorce as represented in articles of Korea's daily newspapers in the 1920's and 1930's were explored. The method used for this study was content analysis, and 432 articles related to divorce were selected for analysis from Choseun and Donga ilbo. The main categories and subcategories were classified as attitude toward divorce(negative, acceptive, neutral), present condition of divorce(statistics, suvey, analysis), cause of divorce(marital conflict, conflict with family, health-related troubles, financial troubles, and the others), and information offered about divorce(related-laws, prevention & adaptation, and the others). The major findings of this study were as follows. 1) The most frequently found category was the cause of divorce(given in 47.5% of the total articles), and especially noticeable was an increase of marital conflict. 2) In the case of attitude toward divorce(12.5%), percentiles of negative, acceptive, and neutral attitudes appeared nearly similarly, which is a representation of the transitional tendency of those times. 3) In the 1930's, information offering articles(25.2%) increased quantitatively as well as qualitatively compared with the 1920's.

Many researches are accomplished as a result of the efforts of developing the production predicting model to solve the supply imbalance of onions which are vegetables very closely related to Korean food. But considering the possibility of storing onions, it is very difficult to solve the supply imbalance of onions only with predicting the production. So, this paper's purpose is trying to build a sentiment dictionary to predict the price of onions by using the internet articles which include the informations about the production of onions and various factors of the price, and these articles are very easy to access on our daily lives. Articles about onions are from 2012 to 2016, using TF-IDF for comparing with four kinds of TF-IDFs through the documents classification of wholesale prices of onions. As a result of classifying the positive/negative words for price by k-means clustering, DBSCAN (density based spatial cluster application with noise) clustering, GMM (Gaussian mixture model) clustering which are partitional clustering, GMM clustering is composed with three meaningful dictionaries. To compare the reasonability of these built dictionary, applying classified articles about the rise and drop of the price on logistic regression, and it shows 85.7% accuracy.

Purpose: This descriptive study was performed to explore trends in child health nursing research by analyzing the themes, contents and structure of articles published in 2014 in Child Health Nursing Research, the official journal of the Korean Academy of Child Health Nursing. Methods: Thirty-eight articles were reviewed using keywords, author (s), subjects, ethical considerations, designs, statistics involved, funding resources, and others. Results: Ten domains from 160 keywords were identified as follows, child related, psycho-social variable related, parents and family related, nursing and health related, and others. A mean of 2.9 authors per article was identified and 71% of the authors were academic- affiliated. Twenty-eight articles were human-participant related while 21 articles addressed both Institutional Review Board and written consent. Non-experimental design was the most commonly used method followed by experimental design, and qualitative design. The duration for acceptance was a mean of 89.1 days from submission with most articles requiring a second round of article review. Half of the articles were supported by grant organizations such as Korean National Research Foundation. Conclusion: The findings of the analysis show an improvement in the scientific quality with a diversity of articles in Child Health Nursing Research.

Accounting education research addresses a wide range of topics related to students, educational processes, educational outcomes, faculty, administrative structures, and the programs and constituents of accounting education. This study examines accounting education researches for the purpose of identifying changes in this research literature and opportunities for enhancing its development. The total number of accounting articles published each year has increased. More significant is the increase in the portion of articles based on empirical research and the decrease in the portion of non-empirical articles. And the empirical studies were classified by type of study, by type of statistics used in the study, and by whether the study referred to other accounting or non-accounting literature. These analysis suggests a number of opportunities for the development of future accounting education research: (1) review relevant non-accounting literature, (2) seek empirical tests of fundamental relationships, (3) design multi-institutional and longitudinal tests, (4) provide for aptitude-treatment interactions, and (5) focus on educational outcomes.

The purpose of this study was to examine research trends in articles of preschooler peer relationships carried in domestic academic journals. This was done in an attempt to suggest alternative directions for peer relationship studies in the early childhood education sector and lay the foundation for future studies. 131 articles that appeared in seven domestic academic journals related to early childhood education were selected and analyzed in order to better understand the general trends in the filed and the specific trends in terms of their content and methods. Our results indicate that the observation method was most common in the quantitative studies, and participant observation was most prevailent among qualitative studies. As for instrumentation, international instruments were most widely utilized, and the most dominant analysis method was descriptive statistics. In terms of reliability, internal consistency was checked most often, however, the majority of the studies failed to provide any information on validity and post-hoc analysis.

We broadly review the whole articles in Survey Methodology published by Statistics Canada. By the classification of subject and application area as well as years, we find some features, of the articles. In addition, we classify them according to the sort of data analyzed in the article and investigate how does it use data.
