This paper deals with a group acceptance sampling plan for time truncated tests which are based on the total number of failures from the whole group assuming that the life time of an item follows the Dagum (inverse Burr) distribution. This study is developed when a multiple number of items as a group can be tested simultaneously in a tester. The minimum number of groups required for a given group size and acceptance number is determined such that the producer and consumer risks are satisfied simultaneously at the specified quality level, while the termination time and the number of testers are specified. Comparisons are made between the proposed plan and the existing plan on the basis of size of the groups. Two real examples are provided.

Social infrastructure facilities such as production, transportation, gas and electricity facilities may experience poor performance depending on time, load, temperature, etc. and may require maintenance, repair and management as they are used. In particular, in the case of transformers, the process of managing them for the purpose of preventing them from failing is necessary because a failure can cause enormous social damage. The management of transformers should consider both technical and economic aspects and strategic aspects at the same time. Thus, it applies the Asset Management concept, which is widely used in the financial industry as an advanced method of transformer management techniques worldwide. In this paper, the operation and power outage data were secured for the asset management of the transformer for distribution, and the asset status was analyzed. Analysis of asset status using actual operation and power outage data is essential for assessing the statistical life and failure rate of the facility. Through this paper, the status of transformer assets for arbitrary A group distribution was analyzed, and the end of life and replacement life were calculated.

The continuous growth in the use of the World Wide Web is creating the data with very large scale and different types. Analyzing such data can help to determine the life time value of users, evaluate the effectiveness of web sites, and design marketing strategies and services. In this paper, we propose some analysis methods for web data and present an example of a prototypical web data analysis.

This study approached the leisure with the step of life cycle, analyzing the process of leisure career and leisure development in individual life. The leisure life cycle leads the other related studies by examining the concepts of continuity, change, leisure socialization, and leisure career. It also analyzes the patterns and the structures of the use of life time, using '2004 Time Use Survey' from the Korea National Statistical Office. As a result, this study suggests new 3 steps of leisure life cycle: participating and expanding stages, selective and concentrating stage, and continuing and absorbed stage. These steps set up the goal of leisure program by the periods. They also can help setting the direction of leisure activities, and can be used as basic data that can make up the leisure activity program models step by step. Moreover, the development of model can be used as valuable information to draw up the plans that can prepare for aging society and demand the support of policy.

This work is concerned with a statistical analysis of factors affecting the irradiation-assisted stress corrosion cracking (IASCC) of austenitic stainless steels for core internals of pressurized water reactors (PWR). The microstructural and environmental factors were reviewed and critically evaluated by the statistical analysis. The Cr depletion at grain boundary was determined to have no significant correlation with the IASCC susceptibility. The threshold irradiation fluence of IASCC in a PWR was statistically calculated to decrease from 5.799 to 1.914 DPA with increase of temperature from 320 to $340^{\circ}C$. From the analysis of the relationship between applied stress and time-to-failure of stainless steel components based on an accelerated life testing model, it was found that B2 life of a baffle former bolt exposed to neutron fluence of 20 and 75 DPA was at least 2.5 and 0.4 year, respectively, within 95% confidence interval.

The purpose of stability study of pharmaceutical products is to establish the shelf life based on the change of the quality with time. Stability study generally consists of a random sample of dosage units from a batch or several batches placed in a storage room and periodically assayed for their drug content. The statistical methods of assessing the shelf-life of drug in the market is considered with the current KFDA regulations. An illustrated application to some stability data from the pharmaceutical industry is also presented with the discussion.

교량에 발생하는 응력이력은 교통류(traffic flow)의 성질에 따라 변하며, 교통류는 차종규성율, 차량중량, 차두시간간격(headway time)등에 따라 다르기 때문에 교량과 같은 휨부재에서 교통류에 의한 응력이력을 추정하기 위해서는 통계적 해석이 필요하며, 이것을 파괴역학에 적용함으로서 구조물의 잔존수명을 추정할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 1)교통류의 불규칙성을 해석하기 위하여 차종구성율, 차량중량, 차두시간간격등을 통계적으로 분석 2)실제 교량에서의 응력이력의 측정과 분석 3)차종구성율, 차량중량, 차두시간간격을 확률변수로한 Monte Carlo 시뮬레이션에 의한 응력이력의 재현 4)실측 응력이력과 시뮬레이션한 응력이력의 비교 5)대상교량의 감소계수(reduction factor)의 계산 6)지간길이 변화에 따른 응력범위발생빈도의 비교등을 행하였다. 그 결과 시뮬레이션에 의한 응력이력 추정방법과 구조물의 잔존피로수명 예측에 필요한 기본적인 모형화된 응력이력을 제시하였다.

The estimation problem of expected time to failure of units is studied in a discrete set up. A simple step-stress accelerated life testing is considered with a Type-I censored sample from geometric distribution that is a commonly used distribution to model the lifetime of a device in discrete case. Maximum likelihood estimators as well as the associated distributions are derived. Exact, approximate and bootstrap approaches construct confidence intervals that are compared via a simulation study. Optimal confidence intervals are suggested in view of the expected width and coverage probability criteria. An illustrative example is also presented to explain the results of the paper. Finally, some conclusions are stated.

This study grasps the living condition of Single-Parent-Family, and compares Single-Parent-Family with Dual-Parent-Family to analyze necessary factors to enjoy the happier life. The data from '2009 the Korean Time Use Survey' and '2010 the National Survey of Korean Families(NSKF)' are used for this study. ANOVA, Duncan test, Correlation Analysis(SPSS for windows, Ver. 18.0) are used for statistical method. Here are the results of this study. First, distribution of living-time-usage of the Single-Parent-Family is different from that of Dual-Parent-Family. Second, the difference in the amount of leisure time, time distribution, and the content of activity was observed based on the gender of Single-Parent-Family. Third, there is a difference in family leisure activity time among Dual-Parent-Family, Mother-Single-Parent-Family, and Father-Single-Parent-Family in holidays. Fourth, there is a clear difference between Dual-Parent-Family and Single-Parent-Family, after looking at life satisfaction degree in work-family-leisure life experience.

Several statistical methods are introduced 1=o analyze the accelerated failure time data. Most frequently used method is the log-linear approach with parametric assumption. Since the accelerated failure time experiments are exposed to many environmental restrictions, parametric log-linear relationship might not be working properly to analyze the resulting data. The models proposed by Buckley and James(1979) and Stute(1993) could be useful in the situation where parametric log-linear method could not be applicable. Those methods are introduced in accelerated experimental situation under the thermal acceleration and discussed through an illustrated example.
