  • A parallel flats fraction for the $3^n$ design is defined as union of flats ${t}At=c_i(mod 3)}, i=1,2,\cdots, f$ and is symbolically written as At=C where A is rank r. The A matrix partitions the effects into n+1 alias sets where $u=(3^{n-r}-1)/2. For each alias set the f flats produce an ACPM from which a detection matrix is constructed. The set of all possible parallel flats fraction C can be partitioned into equivalence classes. In this paper, we develop some properties of a detection matrix and C.

  • In recent years, kernel type estimates are abundant. In this paper, we propose a bandwidth selection method for kernel regression of fixed design based on bootstrap procedure. Mathematical properties of proposed bootstrap-based bandwidth selection method are discussed. Performance of the proposed method for small sample case is compared with that of cross-validation method via a simulation study.

  • A Bayesian testing procedure is proposed for assessment of bioequivalence in both mean and variance which ensures population bioequivalence under normality assumption. We derive the joint posterior distribution of the means and variances in a standard 2 ${\times}$ 2 crossover experimental design and propose a Bayesian testing procedure for bioequivalence based on a Markov chain Monte Carlo methods. The proposed method is applied to a real data set.

  • Adaptive cluster sampling design is known as a sampling method for rare clustered population. Three modified adaptive cluster sampling designs are proposed. The adjusted Hansen-Hurwitz estimator and the Horvitz-Thompson estimator are considered. Efficiency issue of the proposed sampling designs is discussed in a Monte-Carlo simulation study.

  • The advantage of internet survey compared to the traditional survey methods are speedy in data collection, cost-effective, high performed design and able to data process and analysis at the same time. The other side are difficult to select sample, come from serious nonresponse errors. We suggest the new internet survey method to the questionnaire design that have the high response rate, enough to advanced preparations and system stability.

  • An empirical Bayesian approach is discussed for estimation of characteristics from the two-way balanced rotation sampling design which includes U.S. Current Population Survey and Canadian Labor Force Survey as special cases. An empirical Bayesian estimator is derived for monthly effect under presence of two types of biases and correlations It is shown that the marginal distribution of observation provides more general correlation structure than that frequentist has assumed. Consistent estimators are derived for hyper-parameters in Normal priors.

  • The agricultural machine estimated sales survey is a survey to estimate annual sales quantities of eight major agricultural machines such as tracter, combine, etc. The purpose of this study is to design a multipurpose sample for the agricultural machine estimated sales survey. Main achievements of this study are to present an efficient stratification criterion and to suggest a reasonable estimation method by using the concept of post-stratification.

  • In this paper, modified second order slope rotatable designs are introduced and modified slope rotatable central composite designs (SRCCD) are constructed for $2 {\le} v {\le} 17$ (v: the number of factors). Further, it can be shown for certain values of 'v', the modified SRCCD can be viewed as SRCCD constructed as with the technique of augmentation of second order rotatable design (SORD) using central composite design to SRCCD. These designs are useful in parts to estimate responses and slopes with spherical variance functions.

  • A method of missing value estimation for a general design is descrived. In particular, the cases of missing value estimation for $2^k$ and $3^k$ design are explored and discussed. Some examples are illustrated to show the missing value estimation and the nonestimatimable cases.
