A Method for Production Cell Formation in Cellular Manufacturing Systems (설제조시스템에서 생산셀의 구성기법)

  • A method for forming production cells in cellular manufacturing systems is presented. The basic approach is based on part-machine group formation by using relationship matrix calculated from the original part-machine matrix. The cases of exceptional elements and bottleneck machines are discussed. The proposed method can work with any starting form of part-machine matrix and provides the same solution regardless of the changes of starting form of part-machine matrix for any given problem.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to find the shortest path between two nodes on an acyclic network where the arc costs are determined by the starting time at the starting node of the arc. A branch and bound method for optimal solutions and a heuristic method is developed. In heuristic method Dijkstra algorithm is modified to maintain the minimum arrival times of maximum informations in the each time period at each node and is updated by the result with the insertion technique. Expermetal results among two methods are presented with regard to run time and solution qualities.

  • When high-voltage motors are started, inrush current is rising as a serious power quality problem in terms of electric power line. So, this study is measured electrical data from induction motor's various starting method and is proposed the most appropriate starting method for induction motor at WTPs.

  • In the gas discharge lamp, starting procedure is composed of several physical discharge phases. The detailed phenomena are different according to lamp characteristics and ballasting method. This paper reviews starting methods in fluorescent lamp, and the starting procedure of HID lamp are investigated based on reviewed various waveforms.

  • Sr-ferrite powders were synthesized by molten salt method. The process of powder formation was investigated by controlling the size and shape (sphere and acicular) of starting materials. The morphology of resulting ferrite was plate-like regardless of the shape of starting materials, Fe2O3 powders. As a result, the formation of Sr-ferrite in the molten salt was proceeded by solution-precipitation.

An Improved K-means Document Clustering using Concept Vectors

  • An improved K-means document clustering method has been presented, where a concept vector is manipulated for each cluster on the basis of cosine similarity of text documents. The concept vectors are unit vectors that have been normalized on the n-dimensional sphere. Because the standard K-means method is sensitive to initial starting condition, our improvement focused on starting condition for estimating the modes of a distribution. The improved K-means clustering algorithm has been applied to a set of text documents, called Classic3, to test and prove efficiency and correctness of clustering result, and showed 7% improvements in its worst case.

  • The method of simulated annealing is a technique that has recently attracted significant attention as suitable for optimization problem of very large scale. If the temperature is too high, then some of the structure created by the heuristic will be destroyed and unnecessary extra work will be done. If it is too low then solution is lost, similar to the case of a quenching cooling schedule in the Simulated Annealing (SA) phase. Therefore, a crucial issue in this study is the determination of the starting temperature and cooling schedule for SA phase.

  • In general the starting current of single phase induction motor is 3 to 6times of the rated current It make flickering an electric lamp, dispersion a TV screen, insulation destructing an electric motor and momentary blazing of house wiring. Thus it happens losing an electric power loss and reducing an efficiency and a life of home electrical apparatus. In this paper, we proposed the method of reducing staring current with 3.7(%) using TRIAC and ACCT(alternated current transformer) in order to improve the above problem And also we verified semipermanent system with using semiconductor element.

  • This paper includes a development of a starting time prediction model for a derivative engine. For this derivative engine design, a new map expansion method, Modified Pump Scaling Law(MPS), has been applied and expand the maps to sub-idle range. From loss characteristics of the reference engine, loss models for the derivative engine have been developed considering different pressure, temperature, and engine configurations. Starting time predictions of the derivative engine shows preferable results comparing test results.
