The Green Building Certification is issued through self-assessment of applicant, assessment of assessment members and deliberation committee members. These assessments are carried out based on a standard provided Ministry of land transport and maritime affairs and environment. However, opinion difference of assessment standards could be occurred due to diversity of understanding for a standard or subjectivity of committee member. In this paper, We discussed the primary cause of score difference after analyzed assessment standard for the site, transportation, energy and resources, ecological environment, indoor environment in five different Apartment Houses located in Seoul. At a result, score difference was at least 3 points in each section except indoor environment and total score difference of housing complex is by 10 points. To improve these problems, educational program should be activated and guide for assessment standard should be published.

An application determination of the dominant-mode fields in ridge waveguides at all frequencies has been made. Evaluations of the fields along the walls of a commercially standard single-ridge guide having a usable frequency range from 3.75 to 15.0 Gc, This paper presented the analysis of the mode directive coupling characteristics of two ridge waveguide using mode matching techniques for TE10 mode.

서울시내의 간선도로의 조명은 현재는 거의 국제수준에 준할 정도로 밝게 설비되어 있으나, 약 5년전만해도, 한나라 수도의 밤거리라고 하기에는 부끄러울 정도로 어둡고 컴컴한 거리었다. 도로조명은 시력의 감퇴를 초래하는 야간에 차량운전자나 보행자가 정확, 신속하고 평이한 시작업을 하므로서, 생명의 안전, 각종 교통화재방지가 사회생활에 편의을 도웁는데 있으므로 도로조명을 실시하는 경우에는 도시미관의 조성, 재산의 보호, 도로사용상의 결적성의 향상, 범죄의 예방등의 도시계획의 관점에서 고려되어야 한다. 본 측정, 평가 및 설계에는 미국조명학회(I.E.S.)에서 발행된 I.E.S guide for out door illumination test와 American standard practice for street and high way lighting을 많이 참고하였다.

This study considered the transmission loss and frequency characteristecs of window, and examined the transmission loss for each type of windows to design an optimized window for blocking external noise. Moreover this has detect the transmission loss which depending on the thickness and the types(single and fair glass) of window as several major factors of transmission loss design. With this result, this study suggests a window design guide for much silent condition which is below the level of noise standard recommended.

Government and company are unfolding greenhouse gas reduction activity to prevent the effects of global warming. Also, verification business through greenhouse gas inventory construction is spreaded variously. Greenhouse gas verification proceeds by document examination, risk analysis, field survey. Document investigates emission information, calculation standard, emission report, data management system. And through risk assessment result, establish field verification plan. Through study on risk assessment of greenhouse gas inventory verification, wish to reduce risk of verification.

In this study, the carbody design of the rubber tired AGT(Automated Guide-way Transit System) under development by KRRI was numerically analysed to evaluate its structural strength according to the standard specifications for Korean LRT (Light Rail Transit). The numerical results showed that the detail design of the carbody was strong enough to satisfy the specifications with respect to the axial compression strength, the vertical strength and the vertical stiffness(natural frequency). However, the carbody design had some problems on the fatigue strength by twist loadings. So, it was recommended that the carbody design should be modified to improve the twisting strength by reinforcing the front end structures.

In the standard specifications for the urban EMU(Electric Multiple Unit) train, there are several items to ensure safety against accidents. The 21th -23th items have much relation with the crashworthiness of the urban EMU train. In this study, the rubber- tired AGT(Automated Guide-way Transit System) under development by KRRI is numerically evaluated in a crashworthy point of view by applying the above crashworthiness items. The numerical results show the detail design of the AGT satisfies the 22th and 23th items. But the design is recommended to adopt mechanical fuses to reduce the impact accelerations with respect to the 21th item.

In this paper, the photovoltaic inverter system with instantaneous sinusoidal current tracking control is proposed to improve the utilization factor of photovoltaic power system which would be connected utility interactive system. The proposed inverter is designed to track maximum power point by two-state value control method and utility interactive operation, and to decrease output harmonics component. Optimal operating region is described by state space averaging method, and present tracking condition of standard guide line. The experimental result shows the effectiveness of inverter system using the instantaneous control method.

"All things possibly could be measured.", measurement is a essential part in all kinds of industry, especially in manufacturing. Korean Industrial Standard has been established and announced in September, 1961. Measurement has been emphasized. But until now, measurement hasn't been located to the core of manufacturing in domestic. So, this study suggests improvement guide line for the multilateral problems of measurement system based on the investigation of 146 small and medium-sized enterprises in April, 2002.
