  • The chief aim of this study is to prepare the rational alternative plan of the environmental friendly intoner design which can improve sick house syndrome of an apartment house and clarify future-development and the method proposal of use activation and point out the present problem depended to investigate development and the use actual condition of domestic environmental friendly interior materials related in-and-outside-the-country example on a foundation about the various precedence researches on environmental friendly interior materials. The study was witten at first the concept of the environmental interior design which leads environmental friendly charactenstics of material, a interior design, and construction, at the first in the conceptual definition of sick house syndrome. and then it was introduced the present condition of domestic environmental interior materials, interior design and construction and an environmental regulation and standard of in-and-outside-the-country In Conclusion, it may try to present comprehensive analysis and an expansive alternative plan.

  • Ondol is a tradtional Korea heating system with a long history. The ondol heating system is a default in ordinary houses and high-rise apartment alike. But Intensified Architecture Law insulation standard can't satisfied standard insulation only light weight concrete in ondol. The between light weight concrete and slab apply EPS insulation is construct for generate a method of construction. The standard insulation for floor heating system is responsible but complicate construction thermal transmittance and absorber, deteriorate the cost and decreasing the performance insulation & impact floor sound. In study on the evaluation decrease heating-load of floor construction of the insulation & absorber that improvement floor a Apartment house.

Analysis on TVOC Concentrations and Influence Factors of Newly-Built Apartments (신축 아파트의 총휘발성유기화합물 농도와 관련요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of living factors on TVOC(Total Volatile Organic Compounds) concentrations for newly-built apartments. The field measurements of TVOC concentrations were made totally 30 times(5 times per one subject house) in six apartment units in which residents recently moved. Those apartments authorized its business approval before May 2004, the Act of Indoor Air auality Management for multi-use facilities. The findings were as follows: The TVOC concentrations of the measured subject apartments ranged from about 1/10 of the recommended standard for multi-use facilities($400{\mu}g/m^3$) to up to 90 times as high as the standard. Since then, the Recommended Standard of Indoor Air Quality Management for newly-built apartment house was announced in December 2005. In accordance with this standard($2390{\mu}g/m^3$) it ranged from about 1/100 to up to 15 times as high as the standard. The subject house whose TVOC concentrations reduced below the recommendation standard in the shortest period had the largest amount of ventilation (all the windows were open for ventilation in the past three months) among ail measured houses. The reason of another house whose TVOC concentrations were much higher than the rest was fronted with new furniture in the room. It's recommended that they should open all the windows for at least three months for ventilation in newly-built houses, and it would be better to avoid remodeling than needs be.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the differential pressure and velocity to prevent smoke backflow of Stairways Apartment House fire, and verified the effectiveness of smoke velocity standards proposed by NFSC 501A. Method: The smoke control design of the stairways apartment house of the real model and the performance of the velocity to prevent smoke backflow according to the window opening conditions of the living room were analyzed using the CONTAM program. Result: Although the differential pressure performance of the apartment's smoke control system was satisfactory, it was found that Performance of velocity to prevent smoke backflow did not come out according to the opening condition of the living room window. Conclusion: In the case of Stairways Apartment House, it is necessary to review the method of making exceptions to the 'velocity to prevent smoke backflow' standard required by the National Fire Safety Codes(NFSC 501A)

Prediction of Heating Energy Saving Rate on the Window Type-Focus on the Apartment House (창호 구성 요소에 따른 난방에너지 절감율 예측에 관한 연구-공동주택을 중심으로)

  • This is study on the glazing performance of the apartment house to predict energy saving rate when the early design stage by calculating heating load. there are various factors of the window type in apartment building to save energy such as window's U-value, SC or SHGC, window wall ration, frame factor, sunshade coefficient and so on. In this study, we analyzed the heating load focused on the U-value, SC and window wall ration using variable heating degree days method for a small and middle size units $59m^2$, $84m^2$, respectively. Each cases were calculated heating load of the real models compared to standard model to predict energy saving rate. From those cases it was drew the conclusion that were window's U-value, SC and window wall ration for the small and middle size units to expect 10% energy saving rate at least.

  • In field of apartment housing currently, insulation technology is the most effective way because it is common to improve the thermal performance, therefore, it is contributed to energy saving as several regional insulation standards and legal mandate method. In addition, by applying of building energy efficiency rating certification system, it has inspired voluntary energy conservation commitment for the building owner or facility manager by making a plan to evaluate and verify building energy performance. However, these circumstances are not enough to acquire a grade 2 of higher information. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the impact of building energy efficiency rating and confirmed reduction ratio compared to the standard housing on the basis of recent our nation building law when we had changed the shape of windows and wall insulation performance and shapes of housing.

  • From the beginning of a new millennium, the digital broadcasting services had been adopted to cable, satellite and radio broadcasting services as well as the terrestrial TV broadcasting services. The government established the installation standard of digital receiving equipment in 2007, which is needed for taking the new digital broadcasting services without additional facilities in an apartment house. In this paper, I will show the installation standard of digital receiving equipment in an apartment house and give a detailed explanation for the main criteria of it.

A Study on Change of the Apartment Storage Space (아파트 수납공간의 양적변화에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out change of the apartments stouge space in Seoul area from 1971 to 1988. It also attempts to compare the storage space in the apartment with the optimum storage space which is suggested by precedent studies on the storage space. Content analysis methods were used to analyze 961 apartment floor plan from the booklet of 'Apartment Information'. The major findings were as follows : 1) According to the precedent studies, optimum storage spaces are 3.86∼7.72㎡ for 66.07∼115.61㎡ house, and 14.23∼20.31㎡ for 115.62∼165.15㎡ house. 2) It was found out that the storage spaces of the apartments were increased until 1977∼80 and decreased after 1980. 3) Comparing the storge space with the optimum standard, most of the apartments have not enough storage space. It offers only 50% of optimum storage space. 4) The percentage of installation of storage space in bedrooms were quite low in general. Specially, bedrooms in small apartment under 66.6㎡ and most master bedrooms didn't storage spaces. 5) The sige of the apartment storage space were variant according to the builder. Only one builder from 8 offered the spaces close to the optimum standrd, and others didn't seem much care for the storage space.

Physico-chemical and Microbiological Analysis of Tap Water in the Apartment in Taegu City (대규모 음용수 저장시설의 수질평가)

  • The drinking water in the apartment is stored in reservior tank and thereafter supplied each household. In case the drinking water is stored too long or insanitary, tap water might change in quality. This study was carried out to evaluate the physico-chemical and microbiological conditions of 36 samples of tap water of apartments compared to 18 samples of tap water of independence houses in Taegu City from May to October, 1987. Main findings are summarized as follows : PH values were within normal range in all samples. Samples less than 0.2ppm in residual chlorine accounted for 16.7% in the appartment and 5.6% in the independence house. Nitrite nitrogen was detected 2.8% of apartment samples only. Among the total of 54 samples, 11.1% of the apartment and independence samples were over the normal value in standard plate count. Samples more than 1.8 of most probable number(MPN) accounted for 27.8% in the apartment and 33.3% in the independence house. In result of test for residual chlorine, nitrite nitrogen, standard plate count, and MPN, the proportion of the samples revealed inappropriated in respect of drinking water standards. In case of all sorts of tests was 2.7% in apartment and nothing in independence houses, in case of 3 sorts of tests was 2.7% in apartment and 5.6% in independence houses, in case of 2 sorts of tests was 8.3% in apartment and 5.6% in independence houses, and in case of only 1 test was 25.0% in apartment and 22.2% in independence houses. Correlation between residual chlorine and standard plate count, and between standard plate count and MPN were observed. It was found that the more years since construction of apartment were, the worse tap water was in quality.
