  • 고가공도체의 최대허용전류인 열용량은 일반적으로 IEEE P738 기준에서 주어진 것과 같은 열평형 방정식을 기초로 계산된다. 이 정격은 기온, 풍속, 풍향 및 태양열과 같은 기상조건의 함수로 주어진다. 이러한 기상 파라미터들 중에 풍속은 그 값이 아주 작게 나타날 때 송전용량 결정에 강한 영향을 준다. 따라서 송전용량 모니터시스템에서 사용되는 풍속계 대부분은 낮은 감도와 실속 특성을 가지므로 부정확한 결과가 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 풍속계를 사용하지 않고 가공송전선의 동적송전용량을 결정하기 위한 새로운 방법을 도입한다. 풍속을 2개의 간접도체의 온도로 추정하고 실험을 통하여 추정풍속으로 구한 동적송전용량이 기상모델로 구한 결과와 매우 근접함을 밝혔다.

남부지방 5일장에서 신선 산채류의 유통 실태 (The Actual Distributing States of the Fresh Wild Vegetables in the Five-Day Traditional Markets of the Southern Districts in Korea)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the kinds of fresh wild vegetables, the number of street stalsl, seller's age, and the selling list of items of the street stall in the five-day traditional markets of Gyeongnam Tongyoung and Namhae, Jeonnam Naju and Younggwang, Jeonbuk Iksan and Jangsu, from March to May, 2005. The number of street stalls selling fresh wild vegetables was forty nine in Tongyoung, twenty five in Namhae, thirty in Naju, eighteen in Younggwang, one hundred and thirty in Iksan, and seventeen in Jangsu. The selling lists of items totaled forty items; thirty in Tongyoung, seventeen in Namhae, twenty in Naju, sixteen in Younggwang, twenty seven in Iksan, and thirteen in Jangsu. The main kinds were Aster scaber, Aralia elata, Pteridium aquilinum var. latusculum, Artemisia princeps, Sedum sarmentosum, Oenanthe javanica, Pla쇼codon grandiflorum, Petasites japonicus and Allium monanthum. sprouts or woody plants such as Arazia elate, Ailanthus altissima, Meliosma oldhamii, and Kalopanax pictus were also being sold. About $80{\%}$ of the sellers were over fifty one years old. Half of the sellers were at least sixty years old. More thab $77\%$ of the street stalls in the traditional markets sell fewer than four kinds of fresh wild vegetables.

블로잉 제트에 의한 에어포일에서의 유동박리 제어효과 (Flow Separation Control Effects of Blowing Jet on an Airfoil)

  • 타원형 단면 에어포일의 블로잉 제트에 의한 유동박리 제어효과에 대한 연구를 레이놀즈수 Rec=7.84×105에서 실험적 방법으로 수행하였다. 블로잉 제트는 에어포일 내부의 공기실에 있는 압축공기를 앞전 혹은 뒷전에 위치한 좁은 제트슬롯을 통하여 분출시켰다. 실험결과 블로잉은 날개면 압력회복으로 수직력을 증가시킴으로써 박리 유동을 제어할 수 있음을 보였다. 블로잉에 의한 수직력의 상승은 상대적으로 높은 받음각에서 더욱 효과가 컸으며 낮은 받음각에서는 감소되었다. 현 연구조건에서 수직력을 상승시키는데 가장 효과적인 블로잉 방식은 앞전에서의 90° 방향의 간헐제트이었다. 특히, 간헐제트가 부여된 경우 실속 받음각을 약 2°-3° 지연시킬 수 있었다. 연속제트와 간헐제트 모두 에어포일의 공력특성과 성능을 향상시킴으로써 유동박리 제어에 직접적이고 유효한 방법임을 입증하였다.

계통연계 풍력발전시스템의 최대출력제어를 위한 신경회로망 제어기에 관한 연구 (Neural Network Controller of A Grid-Connected Wind Energy Conversion System for Maximum Power Extraction)

  • 본 논문은 바람으로부터 최대출력을 추출하기 위해 계통연계 풍력발전시스템의 신경회로망 제어기와 추출된 최대출력을 계통에 전달하기 위한 전력제어기를 제안한다. 유도발전기, 변압기, 정류기 및 인버터 등으로 구성된 제어기를 갖춘 풍력발전시스템의 모델링과 시뮬레이션에 대해 검토하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 동특성해석을 위해 드라이브 트레인 모델, 유도발전기 모델과 계통접속 모델을 제시한다. 신경회로망 제어기는 풍차날개의 피치각을 제어하여 바람으로부터 최대출력을 추출한다. 피치제어방법은 기계적으로 복잡하지만 제어성능은 스톨제어보다 우수하게 된다. MATLAB으로 수행한 시뮬레이션 결과는 발전기 토오크, 발전기 회전속도, 피치각, 계통으로 주입되는 유효/무효전력 등을 예시하고 있으며 그 결과를 보면 제안된 제어기의 효용성을 입증할 수 있다.

Costs and Returns in Raising Male Calves from Smallholder Dairy Farms for Beef Production

  • The use of the dairy male calf for beef production has been found to be economically unprofitable during the past due to high cost of feeds and relatively low beef price. However, due to current shortage of domestic beef supply and rising beef price, this research aimed to assess feeding methods and costs and returns in raising dairy male calves for beef production under changing economic conditions. Two diets were compared: calves on an optimal feeding level were given milk replacer for 44 d and a concentrate (with ad lib. hay) to 150 kg bodyweight that contained 16% crude protein; those given a sub-optimal diet, more appropriate for smallholder farms, received milk replacer for 30 d and 14% CP concentrate. Twelve pairs of dairy male calves (average age 32 days) of Holstein-Friesian high grades were used, each pair having similar influencing factors such as weight, age, and genotype. Each animal was kept in a separate feeding stall until reaching the final weight of 150 kg. The results from this experiment showed that the differences of traits concerning growth performance and feed efficiency of the animals raised under the two feeding regimes were statistically nonsignificant. The optimal group was just slightly better, but the cost of production of the sub-optimal group was 24 percent lower (4,667 vs. 6,144 baht per animal) and the cost difference was highly significant. The results from this investigation showed that beef production from dairy male calves can be economically viable when sub-optimal feeding method is used and market beef price is at current level.

Effect of Individual, Group or ESF Housing in Pregnancy and Individual or Group Housing in Lactation on Sow Behavior

  • To evaluate the effect of different housing systems on sow behavior, 80 gilts were randomly allocated at puberty to four treatments: i) sow stall in gestation followed by farrowing crate (SC), ii) group housing with individual feeding in gestation followed by farrowing crate (GC), iii) ESF (Electronic Sow Feeding) system in gestation followed by farrowing crate (EC), and iv) ESF system followed by group farrowing pen (EG). Behavioral observations were carried out on a total of 16 animals per treatment at the following stages: first day of allocation to housing treatment, day of service, 80 days after service, 109 days after service on entry to farrowing accommodation, 24 h before farrowing, day of farrowing, 14, 27 and 28 days after farrowing, at weaning. On each occasion, individual animals were observed for a 24 period with one minute time sampling. There were significant differences (p<0.001) between stages of the reproductive cycle for all the behavior patterns in all treatments. On the first day in experimental housing treatments, sows spent more time rooting and dog-sitting. Activity and investigatory behavior decreased as pregnancy progressed. An activity peak was apparent just before farrowing, followed by a high level of inactivity on the day of farrowing. Time spent active, eating and drinking increased as lactation progressed, and greatest activity and locomotion was seen immediately following weaning. There were significant differences between housing treatments (p<0.01) for standing, moving, eating, drinking, dog-sitting and lying. During pregnancy SC sows spent more time standing, rooting, drinking and dog sitting, while EC sows spent less time rooting and drinking and more time lying. During lactation, GC sows spent more time standing, moving and eating, less time dog sitting and lateral lying. Nursing frequency was reduced in GC sows (p<0.001). The maternal and piglet behaviors were influenced strongly by environment during lactation. However, it was also shown that previous housing history can influence the maternal behavior in the pre-farrowing stage and during early lactation.

Sensing Domain and Extension Rate of a Family B-Type DNA Polymerase Determine the Stalling at a Deaminated Base

  • The uracil-sensing domain in archaeal family B-type DNA polymerases recognizes pro-mutagenic uracils in the DNA template, leading to stalling of DNA polymerases. Here, we describe our new findings regarding the molecular, mechanism underpinning the stalling of polymerases. We observed that two successive deaminated bases were required to stall TNA1 and KOD1 DNA polymerases, whereas a single deaminated base was enough for stalling Pfu DNA polymerase, in spite of the virtually identical uracil-sensing domains. TNA1 and KOD1 DNA polymerases have a much higher extension rate than Pfu DNA polymerase; decreasing the extension rate resulted in stalling by TNA1 and KOD1 DNA polymerases at a single deaminated base. These results strongly suggest that these polymerases require two factors to stop DNA polymerization at a single deaminated base: the presence of the uracil-sensing domain and a relatively slow extension rate.

Struvite 형성에 의한 축산폐수의 인 회수기술 개발 (Recovery of Phosphorus in Animal Wastewater by Struvite Forming)

  • This study was carried out to recover phosphorus in animal wastewater using a magnesium source. $MgCl_2$, as a magnesium source, was shown a SP (soluble phosphorus) recovery rate of 98% in both the aeration and the NaOH tests to adjust pH around 8.5. In case of MgO, the recovery rate of SP were 88% with the aeration and 58% with the NaOH. In case of ammonia nitrogen recovery, $MgCl_2$ was shown the recovery rate of 17% with aeration and 18% with NaOH. MgO was shown the ammonia recovery rate of 18% with aeration and 11% with NaOH. At low temperature of $6-8^{\circ}C$ with the animal wastewater from piglet stall, the recovery rate of SP was shown 95% with NaOH and 92% with aeration using $MgCl_2$. The recovery rate of ammonia nitrogen was shown 9% with NaOH and 12% with aeration, respectively. It was observed that the pH can be raised by aeration. The reaction was completed within 5 minutes and the struvite cristal structure was formed and could be observed with an electronic microscope.

전진비행하는 회전익기 로터의 평균 유입류 예측기법 연구 (Investigation on Prediction Methods for a Rotor Averaged Inflow in Forward Flight)

  • 동 연구에서는 전진비행하는 로터의 평균 유입류 예측기법 중 Drees 선형모델, 몇가지 변형된 형태의 Mangler & Squire 모델을 서로 비교하여 각 유입류 모델의 특성을 알아내고, KARI 자체 자유후류기법 코드의 해석결과를 함께 비교하여 각 유입류 예측기법의 특성을 파악하였다. 각 예측기법의 비교를 위해 유입류 실험치가 존재하는 로터에 대하여 전진비 0.15, 0.23 및 0.30의 3가지 비행조건을 적용하여 예측한 결과를 비교 분석하였다. Drees 모델의 경우 비교적 실험치에 근접하게 예측하나, 선형모델의 한계로 인해 유입류의 비균일성을 모델링하기에는 미흡하며, Mangler & Squire 모델은 끝단을 제외하고는 비교적 실험치에 근접하게 예측함을 알 수 있었으며, KARI의 자유후류기법은 유입류의 비균일성을 매우 잘 예측하나, 동체에 의한 올려흐름 효과, 후퇴부에서의 동적실속 효과 등의 추가 고려가 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

CFD를 이용한 추진식 프로펠러 항공기의 Power-on 효과 해석 (Numerical Study on the Power-on Effect of a Pusher-propeller Aircraft using CFD)

  • 프로펠러 추진 항공기의 경우, 프로펠러 power-on 효과는 항공기의 비행성능 및 조종안 정성에 직간접적으로 커다란 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 CFD 기반의 multiple reference frame과 sliding mesh model을 이용하여 power-on 효과가 항공기의 공력특성에 미치는 영향을 해석하였다. 프로펠러 power-on 효과에 의해 양력이 미소하게 증가하고 최대양력이 증가되며 실속이 지연된다. 반면, 프로펠러 power-on 효과에 의해 항력이 크게 증가하여 양항비가 감소된다. 또한, 프로펠러 power-on 효과에 의해 기수내림 피칭 모멘트가 감소하여 종방향 정안정성이 감소된다. 본 연구를 통해 획득한 프로펠러 power-on 해석결과는 항공기 성능 및 조종안정성 해석에 중요한 자료로 활용되어 추진식 프로펠러 항공기 개발에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
