  • This paper deals with the analysis of field condition for earth leakage current alarming system in the stage lighting, stage sound stage machinery installation. These analyses of field condition were carried out in accordance with investigating an installation of earth leakage current alarming system with respect to a main line of power source, dimmer, sound equipment, machinery mobile unit equipment and so on. As a result of analyses. The earth leakage current alarming system has been installed only a part of the main line of power source and the probability of places which were installed was less than 50(%). Therefore, it is desirable that the earth leakage current alarming system is installed at places which are suitable, for example, dimmer, each kind machinery etc. in order to prevent electrical hazard.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a reference for stage planning by analyzing current state of major theaters' stage space and understanding feedback from directors belonged to theaters. Each room in total 18 theaters' stage facilities was measured and their usage and requirements were analyzed on the spot. In addition, each director provided their experiential knowledge about appropriate stage composition for musical performance. The findings are as follow: under stage machinery is not needed for musical. Tour teams prefer to use their own show-deck for set conversion. On the other hand, over stage flying system needs to be able to deal with dense, fast, and accurate scene change. The size and location of the motor room needs to be carefully considered. The number of set battens is directly linked up with the size of the motor room, which should be located lower than the gridiron. As stage sets get bigger and complicated, the number of works at the gridiron is also increasing. The grating floor has to have enough strength coping with machines lifting heavy sets. Most sound control for musical performance is being done at F.O.H. these days rather that in the sound control room. It should equip enough work area and related infra especially for tour teams. 1st gallery needs to have enough effective width, power infra for lighting fixture, and strong guardrail. Lastly, the whole process of parking-unloading-transporting equipments and sets from loading dock to stage and vice versa needs to be efficient, and this has to be carefully considered from early stage of planning.

  • This paper studies the arousal effects of aroma and warning sound using EDA(Electrodermal Activity:EDA), Aroma stimulus started at Nz value over 1.2. Warning sound was prepared according to the arousal evaluation and control criteria. As a result, the warning sound could be controlled the arousal level in all the mKSS state. Aroma stimulus was able to prevent drowsy more than warning sound in the mKSS 3 state(the first stage of drowsiness). Therefor, aroma stimulus was can be used for arousal control at that state. Futhermore, arousal control was shown to be more effective with presentation of both aroma and warning sounds than each presentation.

사운드 트레이싱을 위한 적응형 깊이 조절 알고리즘 (Adaptive depth control algorithm for sound tracing)

  • 본 논문에서는 현실감을 높이기 위한 청각적 기술로 기하학적 방법을 사용하는 광선 추적(ray-tracing) 기반의 3D Sound rendering기술인 Sound-tracing을 사용한다. Sound-tracing은 사운드 전파(sound propagation)단계에서 많은 비용이 든다. 사운드 전파 비용을 감소시키기 위해 제안하는 알고리즘은 이전 프레임들의 평균 유효 frame 수를 계산하고 그 수치를 기반으로 공간에 따른 depth를 조절하는 방법이다. 실험 결과 depth를 조절하지 않은 결과와 비교하면 음원이 실내에 있었을 때 path 손실률은 0.72%이고 탐색 및 충돌검사 단계(traversal & Intersection test)가 85.13%의 계산량 감소를 보이고 전체 frame rate는 4.48% 증가하였다. 음원이 실외에 있었을 때 path 손실률은 0%이고 탐색 및 충돌검사 단계가 25.01%의 계산량 감소를 보이고 전체 frame rate가 7.85% 증가하였다. 이는 path 손실률을 최소화하면서 렌더링 성능을 올릴 수 있었다.

  • 최근 스마트폰이 차세대 게임 플랫폼으로 각광받자 다양한 업체들이 모바일 시장에 진입하며 치열한 경쟁을 벌이고 있다. 그만큼 스마트폰 게임시장이 커짐에 따라서 스마트폰 앱 게임 사운드의 영향 또한 커지고 있다. 본 논문은 스마트폰 게임을 제작하는 과정, 게임을 플레이 하는 과정에서 게임 속의 효과음과 BGM(background music)의 역할을 분석하고, 게임 사운드가 있을 때의 플레이와 없을 때의 게임 플레이를 비교 후 스마트폰 앱 게임 속 사운드의 중요성과 스마트폰 앱 게임 사운드의 발전방향, 전문적인 게임 사운드 제작의 필요성을 제안한다.

  • Recently, on account of stress relief and settlement of a healthy drinking culture, many people are visiting a song practice room. In case of such song practice room, since the mechanical voice through a loud accompaniment-music and microphone is on using, there has made a very loud noise, and it influences a lot to the adjacent other space and song practice room booth. Consequently, from the designing stage an efficient measures for soundproof and sound-insulation should be arranged. However, as most of the song practice room wall-bodies that already built up or under construction step were constructed merely with consideration on an interior-wise factor only, it is suffering at the soundproof and sound-insulation. Reflecting such viewpoint, this Study has measured Sound Transmission Loss on the subject for the song practice room wall-body recently built up, and based on the actually measured data, by practice of comparison?analysis on it using various evaluation methods, would intends to present a fundamental material for establishment an efficient sound-insulation measure.

  • Among the various elements affecting a customer's evaluation of automobile quality, buzz, squeak and rattle(BSR) have been considered to be major factors. In most vehicle manufacturers, the BSR problems are solved by find-fix method with the vehicle road test, mainly due to various excitation sources, complex generation mechanism and subjective response. To systematically tackle the BSR problems in early stage of the vehicle development cycle, these difficulties should be resolved. The aim of the present paper is to characterize the sound quality property of BSR noise that can be used to assess the subjective responses to BSR. The four sound metrics from Zwicker's sound quality parameter are computed for the signals recorded for eight BSR noise source regions localized by using the acoustic-field visualized results. Then, the jury test of BSR noise are performed. On the basis of the computed sound metrics and jury test result is evaluated to represent the harshness of BSR noise. It is expected that the developed BSR measuring system and sound quality properties can be used to reduce the automotive interior BSR noise in terms of subjective levels as well as objective levels.

Real-time 3D Audio Downmixing System based on Sound Rendering for the Immersive Sound of Mobile Virtual Reality Applications

  • Eight out of the top ten the largest technology companies in the world are involved in some way with the coming mobile VR revolution since Facebook acquired Oculus. This trend has allowed the technology related with mobile VR to achieve remarkable growth in both academic and industry. Therefore, the importance of reproducing the acoustic expression for users to experience more realistic is increasing because auditory cues can enhance the perception of the complicated surrounding environment without the visual system in VR. This paper presents a audio downmixing system for auralization based on hardware, a stage of sound rendering pipelines that can reproduce realiy-like sound but requires high computation costs. The proposed system is verified through an FPGA platform with the special focus on hardware architectural designs for low power and real-time. The results show that the proposed system on an FPGA can downmix maximum 5 sources in real-time rate (52 FPS), with 382 mW low power consumptions. Furthermore, the generated 3D sound with the proposed system was verified with satisfactory results of sound quality via the user evaluation.

지식경영 프로세스 능력 모델 개발 연구 (A Study on the Process Capability Model of Knowledge Management)

  • Recently, knowledge management becomes a core management tool for efficient and effective organizations. However, there are little known researches on measuring knowledge management level. The objective of this paper is to develop a process capability model for knowledge management of an organization. We developed 5 stage process capability model for knowledge management. The 1st stage is the initial stage where no significant knowledge management activity is performed. The 2nd stage is the performed stage where planning and tracking activities are performed on organization level. The 3rd stage is the established, and the 4th stage is the predictable stage where processes and results of knowledge management can be predictable. Final stage is the optimizing stage where knowledge management process is continuously improved at an organizational level. We surveyed 37 korean companies to test the validity of the proposed stage model. Statistical tests show that the developed stage model of knowledge management is valid and sound in general conditions. The result of this study on process capability model can be a solid stepping stone for future works in this area.
