A versatile method for performing non-cyanide electroless gold plating using thiomalic acid (TMA) as a complexing agent and 2-aminoethanethiol (AET) as a reducing agent was investigated. It was found that TMA was an excellent complexing agent for gold. It can be used in electroless gold plating baths at a neutral pH with a high solution stability, makes it a potential candidate to replace conventional toxic cyanide complex. It was found that one gold atomic ion could bind to two TMA molecules to form the [2TMA-Au+] complex in a solution. AET can be used as a reducing agent in electroless gold plating solutions. The highest current density was obtained at electrode rotation rate of 250 to 500 rpm based on anodic and cathodic polarization curves with the mixed potential theory. Increasing AET concentration, pH, and temperature significantly increased the anodic polarization current density and shifted the plating potential toward a more negative value. The optimal gold ion concentration to obtain the highest current density was 0.01 M. The cathodic current was higher at a lower pH and a higher temperature. The current density was inversely proportional to TMA concentration.

The purpose of this study is to implement an agent that intelligently performs tracking and movement through reinforcement learning using the Unity and ML-Agents. In this study, we conducted an experiment to compare the learning performance between training one agent in a single learning simulation environment and parallel training of several agents simultaneously in a multi-learning simulation environment. From the experimental results, we could be confirmed that the parallel training method is about 4.9 times faster than the single training method in terms of learning speed, and more stable and effective learning occurs in terms of learning stability.
This study focused on the introduction of processing procedure for microcapsules loaded with the healing agent and then microcapsules with the healing agent were manufactured by experiments. The DCPD (dicyclopentadiene) was used for the healing agent and the shell of microcapsules was consisted of urea-formaldehyde resin. The magnitude and the site distribution of microcapsules were measured by a particle size analyzer using laser diffraction technique. Thermal analysis was conducted by using a DSC fur the healing agent, microcapsules without the healing agent, and microcapsules with the healing agent. Also thermal stability was investigated by using a TGA under continuous and isothermal heating conditions far the healing agent, microcapsules without the healing agent, microcapsules with the healing agent. According to the results. microcapsules with the healing agent were verified to be so thermally stable that the healing agent could not evaporate until the shell of microcapsules were burned.

A novel retinol derivative, polyethoxylated retinamide(Medimin A) was synthesized, as an anti-aging agent. Collagen synthesis, skin permeation, stability, and toxicity of Medimin A were evaluated and compared with those of retinol and retinyl palmitate. In vitro collagen synthesis was evaluated by quantitative assay of $[^3H]-proline$ incorporation into collagenase sensitive protein in fibroblast cultures. For in vitro skin permeation experiments, Franz diffusion cells(effective diffusion area: 1,766 $cm^2$) and the excised skin of female hairless mouse aged 8 weeks were used, The stabilities of retinoids were evaluated at two different temperature($25^{\circ}C\;and\;40^{\circ}C$) and under UV in solubilized state and in O/W emulsion. To estimate the safety, acute oral toxicity, acute dermal toxicity, primary skin irritation, acute eye irritation and human patch test were performed. The effect of Medimin A on collagen synthesis was similar to that of retinol. The skin permeability of Medimin A was higher than those of retinol and retinyl palmitate. The Medimin A was more stable than retinol and retinyl palmitate. Medimin A was nontoxic in various toxicological tests. These results suggest that Medimin A would be a good anti-aging agent for enhancing bioavailability and stability.
It was investigated that the effect of surface modification and concentration of fumed silica on the adhesion properties and thermal stability of 2-EHA/AA pressure sensitive adhesive (PSAs) prepared by UV irradiation. The influence of repeating units of crosslinking agent on PSAs were also studied. From SEM analysis, PSAs synthesized with surface modified silica had finer dispersion of silica particles in polymer matrix due to the interfacial interaction. Results of the study showed that increase in tack and peel strength when under 0.3 wt% of silane treated silica were added in the reaction mixture. The addition of PEGDMA for crosslinking agent offers positive effect on adhesion properties in comparison with PSAs using EGDMA for crosslinker, which may be attributed to high mobility of ethylene oxide repeating units in PEGDMA. From the thermal degradation residue of PSAs, it was revealed that thermal stability was improved with silica addition due to the strong interfacial bonding between silane modified silica and polymer matrix, which may act as a thermal barriers into 2-EHA/AA PSAs.
Productivity of secreted recombinant protein depends largely on its stability in the extracellular environment with protease. Most hGM-CSF produced by transgenic tobacco cell cultures and secreted to the medium was confirmed to be rapidly degraded by protease in medium. To increase the productivity, therefore, various protein stabilizers such as gelling agents such as carrageenan and alginate, polymers, polyols, and amino acids have been tested. The stability of hGM-CSF in spent medium without cells was improved by the presence of gelling agents. However, the reason for the enhanced production by the addition of gelling agents may be due to the increased expression level and permeability rather than stability. The addition of DMSO inhibited the cell growth, but improved specific yield. The others were not effective for stability as well as hGM-CSF production.

This study investigated the thermal stability of Grubbs' catalyst and its reactivity with self-healing agents for self-healing damage repair. Four types of Grubbs' catalyst supplied by manufacturers were considered and each catalyst was tested in as-received and grinded conditions. Four types of self-healing agents were prepared by varying the mixing ratio of dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) and 5-ethylidene-2-norbonene (ENB). Heat flows as a function of temperature were measured through a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to determine the thermal stability of catalysts. Reaction heats of self-healing agents with the catalyst were measured to evaluate the reactivity of the catalyst. For this evaluation, Fluka Chemika Grubbs' catalyst was used based on the maximum temperature and the time to reach the maximum temperature. According to the results, catalysts had different shapes depending on the manufacturer and the results showed that the smaller the size of the catalyst the higher the reactivity with self-healing agents. As the ENB ratio in self-healing agents increased, the maximum temperature increased, and the time to reach the maximum temperature decreased. As the amount of the catalyst increased, the maximum temperature increased, and the time to reach the maximum temperature decreased. Considering the thermal stability of the catalyst and its reactivity with the self-healing agent, combination of 0.5 wt% catalyst and the D3E1 self-healing agent was optimal for self-healing damage repair. Finally, as the thermal decomposition may occur depending on the environmental temperature, the catalyst must not be exposed to temperature higher than that is necessary to maintain the thermal stability of the catalyst.

Omeprazole, a benzimidazole derivative, suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting $H^+/K^+$ ATPase in gastric parietals cells, and by reducing $H^+$ concentration. To improve stability of esomeprazole magnesium dihydrate (ESMD), enteric-coated preperation was composed of core tablet, subcoating and enteric coating layer. We were evaluated in vitro dissolution characteristics between test and reference ESMD preparation and stability. We could prepare enteric-coated formulation of ESMD by controlling disintegrating agent and coating ratio which could rapidly dissolved in neutral or alkali medium. The formulation D5 with crospovidone of 1.25% and coating ratio of 16.25% had a similar dissolution behavior compare to reference preparation. Difference factor ($f_1$) and similarity factor ($f_2$) were 0~15 and 50~100 and there was no significant difference in bioequivalence between formulations. The content and dissolution rate of formulation D5 were $96.54{\pm}0.21$ and $78.56{\pm}0.87%$ without change of color in accelerated condition ($40^{\circ}C$, RH 75%, high density polyethylene (HDPE) container) for 6 months. This study concluded that our enteric coated preparation of ESMD could be an useful method to improve stability of unstable drug without direct contact with coating material.

In this work, the epoxy specimens were prepared from diglycidyl ether of bisphenol F (DGEBF) with silane coupling agents (3-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane (GPTMS)) in different ratios. Thermal stability was studied in terms of polymer decomposition temperature (PDT), temperature of maximum rate of weight loss ($T_{max}$), integral procedural decomposition temperature (IPDT), and decomposition activation energy ($E_a$) using TGA analysis. Adhesion properties of epoxy composite specimens were measured by UTM (universal testing machine) at atmosphere temperature. In this result, the adhesion properties of DGEBF were improved by addition of silane coupling agents compared to non-treated epoxy resin. However, when the content of GPTMS agent is more than 10 phr, adhesion properties decreased with increasing GPTMS agent.
Carbon tetrachloride is very reactive chain transfer agent due to the resonance stability of the trichlorocarbon radicals after breaking of C-Cl bond. Effect of benzylic radical comparing to trichlorocarbon radicals in the chain tranrfer reactions was investigated. From the structural point of view, cumyl chloride is a good candidate because it has the C-Cl bond with benzylic radicals after displacement of C-Ci bond. The reactivity of free radical polymerization of styrene in the presence of cumyl chloride was compared with that of carbon tetrachloride by calculating chain transfer constants. Results show that the cumyl chloride acts as a stronger chain transfer agent than carbon tetrachloride. The calculated chain transfer constant of cumyl chloride shows higher value (0.0463) than that of carbon tetrachloride (0.0011) in the styrene polymerization. High reactivity of cumyl chloride comparing to that of carbon tetrachloride is probably due to the higher resonance stability or benzylic radical than that or trichlorocarbon radicals after breaking of C-Cl bond. Monte Carlo simulation method is applied for characterizing the validity of kinetic constants according to the ratio of chain transfer agent to monomer.
