  • We developed a Microcurrent acupuncture point treatment equipment using micro-controller AVR. This equipment can generate a sine wave, triangle wave, square wave and DC. The frequency range of waves like the sine wave and the triangle wave is 1 - 320 Hz and the output range of DC is $40-200\;{\mu}A$. The duration is controllable between a minute to 30 minutes.

  • The paper is devoted to problem of spline approximation. A new method of nodes location for curves and surfaces computer construction in multidimensional spaces by means of B-splines is presented. The criteria are which links a square-mean error caused by high frequency spline distortions and approximation intervals is determined and necessary theorem is proved. In this method use a theory of entire multidimensional spectra and may be extended for the spaces of three, four and more variables. Future work: application area such as digital contents like animation, game graphic.

  • The helicopter position, heading data and the direction finding data of ESM are essentially required to compensate the parallax and analyze the direction finding accuracy of heliborne ESM in flight test phase. In the case of the long test range compared with small platform like as LYNX helicopter and Jisim Island test site, the parallax compensation for direction finding accuracy calculation and GPS position error can be neglected. In this paper, the direction finding accuracy on the basis of helicopter propeller was calculated by coordinate changing between helicopter and transmitting antenna from WGS84 coordinate to navigation coordinate using helicopter position and direction finding data.

  • The history of statistics from the mid-seventeenth to the early twentieth century is considered and a scheme of periodization is proposed. In the first period(1650-1750), named 'the age of probability' in this paper, concept of probability emerged, and in the second period(1750-1820), named 'the age of error theory', statistical techniques such as the least square method are developed by astronomers and geodesists. Their techniques are supported theoretically by mathematicians like Laplace and Gauss in that period. The third period(1820-1880) is called 'the age of statistics(as a plural noun)' since statistical data played prominent roles in social sciences such as sociology, psychology. Finally the last period(1880- ), called 'the age of statistics(as a singular noun)', the discipline of statistics came to maturity both in theory and application.

Tangible AR interaction based on fingertip touch using small-sized non-square markers

  • Although big-sized markers are good for accurate marker recognition and tracking, they are easily occluded by other objects and deteriorate natural visualization and level of immersion during user interaction in AR environments. In this paper, we propose an approach to exploiting the use of rectangular markers to support tangible AR interaction based on fingertip touch using small-sized markers. It basically adjusts the length, width, and interior area of rectangular markers to make them more suitably fit to longish objects like fingers. It also utilizes convex polygons to resolve the partial occlusion of a marker and properly enlarges the pattern area of a marker while adjusting its size without deteriorating the quality of marker detection. We obtained encouraging results from users that the approach can provide better natural visualization and higher level of immersion, and be accurate and tangible enough to support a pseudo feeling of touching virtual products with human hands or fingertips during design evaluation of digital handheld products.

  • In this paper, passive telemetry capacitive humidity sensor system using a RLSE(Recursive Least Square Estimation) technique Is proposed. To overcome the problem like power limits and complications that general passive telemetry sensor system including IC chip has, the principle of inductive coupling is applied to model the sensor system. Specially, by applying the forgetting factor, we show that the accuracy of its estimation can be improved even in the case of time varying parameter and also the convergence time can be reduced.

Security in the Password-based Identification

  • Almost all network systems provide an authentication mechanism based on user ID and password. In such system, it is easy to obtain the user password using a sniffer program with illegal eavesdropping. The one-time password and challenge-response method are useful authentication schemes that protect the user passwords against eavesdropping. In client/server environments, the one-time password scheme using time is especially useful because it solves the synchronization problem. It is the stability that is based on Square Root Problem, and we would like to suggest PBSI(Password Based Secure Identification), enhancing the stability, for all of the well-known attacks by now including Off-line dictionary attack, password file compromise, Server and so on. The PBSI is also excellent in the aspect of the performance.

A Study on the Spatial Characteristics of 'Gwan-gajung' by Analysis of Boundary (觀稼亭'의 경계구조분석을 통한 공간적 특성)

  • The purpose of this study is to make clear the identity of Korean traditional housing. And I'm trying to search characteristics of boundary in Korean traditional housing. In this study, I have analyzed boundary of ‘Gwan-gajung’. It is constructed on a square shaped plan, there is an elegant middle court, and a counter-roofed shrine house in the rear of the inner building. In this study, the definition of boundary is made based on what has been perceived as the proper structure, whose characteristics can be described in terms of openness, inside and outside parts and orientation. As a critical factor to spatial qualities, boundary is closely related with the connection and disconnection, background and atmosphere, and inferior and superior relations and hierarchical order from the view of space. The result of study is like followings. The characteristics of boundary in Korean traditional housing is 1. one way direction of penetrability, 2. having the face and the back 3. orientation 4. duplication.

  • The sliding and/or skidding motions generally occur to a car - like planar mobile robot consisting of four conventional fixed wheels attached on two parallel axles. Thus, the kinematic model of such mobile robot should include the description of skidding and sliding frictional motions. However, most of previous kinematic models do not take these frictional motions into account the kinematic model, as the work done by Muir and Newman [1]. Thus, does it result in least square solution in estimating sensed forward velocity. In this paper, the sensed forward velocity estimation algorithm for mobile robots is proposed, which not only includes those skidding and sliding frictional motions into kinematic model but also utilizes only the minimal set of dependent internal kinematic variables of the mobile robot.   • In general, for high performance pressure control system, hydraulic system with electo hydraulic servo valve controls flow rate, it contains many nonlinear term like square-root and change of bulk modulus by flow rate. But, DDV(Direct Drive Valve) contains pressure control loop itself, then it can eliminate nonlinearity and achieve linearity for hydraulic system. In this paper, parameter identification method which uses input and ouput data is applied to obtain DDV's mathematical model and parameter assuming that dynamic characteristic of DDV is first order system. Then, the state feedback controller was designed to implement the force control of hydraulic system , and the control performance was evaluated.
